An error occurred while saving the comment Beside the Delete key, Ctrl+click does not allow users to select multiple individual messages in the standard way. And Shift+click does not select a range of messages unless users click precisely on the small checkboxes.
Using “T” instead of the Delete key and forcing users to target individual checkboxes are not reasonable substitutes. Delete, Ctrl+click, and Shift+click are standard conventions across operating systems, file managers, email clients, and countless other applications.
Pressing the Delete key does not move the selected or currently open message to Trash.

The desktop application behaves exactly like the web interface instead of supporting normal desktop controls.
Using “T” instead of the Delete key and forcing users to target individual checkboxes are not reasonable substitutes. Delete, Ctrl+click, and Shift+click are standard conventions across operating systems, file managers, email clients, and countless other applications. Users should not have to unlearn basic controls or perform additional clicks simply because they use Proton Mail.
