An error occurred while saving the comment Bink commentedThe ability to download ProtonMail and ProtonVPN independently of Google Play was a key factor in my decision to sign up with this service in 2017. This was made possible through the Crashlytics Beta program, but that ceased in Feb 2018.
Since then, we've been forced to use Google Play and I feel rather duped because it was a key factor in deciding to sign up with this service in the first place.

Whilst this would be nice, it isn't really up to Proton.
To go from AUR to Community requires an Arch "Trusted User" to take ownership of the package.
To go from Community to Extra, requires Arch developers (who are separate from Trusted Users) to take ownership of the package.
