    This is a great idea. A user could use their primary id for logging in ONLY, and use aliases to communicate. This prevents the login id from being exposed.

    I expected alias functionality to work like this. Adding the ability for an alias to actually mask your login id is huge. A login id could then be used for ONLY logging in, and not shared with anyone. All communications could be through aliases, so the main login id is not exposed.
