    That would be a great idea, however if they built there own OS from scratch, it would be likely to fail due to the lack of developer support for 3rd party apps. It would also be very hard to do as creating an OS is not a simple process.
    I would suggest they instead consider making an OS based upon the open source version of android, without Google's apps and then add their own app store / YouTube client etc.
