1. Kacheln statt Spalten im Calendar und mehr ...

   First of all: Until now, I have been using the Android app "aCalendar+".
   Since Proton Calendar cannot be synchronized with aCalendar+ (which is understandable for privacy reasons), I have to make a choice between using a non-Proton calendar or switching entirely to Proton Calendar.

   1. Use of screen space
      The columns in Proton Calendar take up an enormous amount of space for time slots that contain no entries. As a result, there is less room for appointment details to be displayed directly and visibly.
      This is handled much better by the tile-based layout in aCalendar+. Even in the weekly view, I can see more information at a glance than in Proton Calendar's three-day view.

   2. Participants and email invitations
      I have "participants" whom I would like to add to appointments without necessarily sending them an invitation. However, I cannot find an option to disable email invitations.
      Since these participants are often elderly people, they are frequently unfamiliar with calendar attachments (.ics files) and would simply be confused by them.
      As things stand, this means I cannot enter their names as participants at all. Instead, I have to manually re-enter their names in the appointment title every single time. This makes the title unnecessarily long and further aggravates the lack of available space described in point 1.
      I would like to be able to decide on a case-by-case basis whether an email invitation should be sent to a participant or not. Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn't.

   3. Automatic location suggestions for participants
      In aCalendar+, when I add a participant, I am also offered a location associated with that person. Since I make a lot of home visits, I can simply confirm the suggested destination.
      In Proton Calendar, however, I am not even offered a location when I am planning to visit that participant, even if I send them an email invitation.
      This means I have to enter EVERY DESTINATION manually. This takes time and is prone to errors.

   4. Transferring destinations directly to navigation software
      Once a location has been entered in aCalendar+, I can transfer it directly to my navigation app. This is ideal for the journeys I make.
      In Proton Calendar, I cannot transfer the location directly to my navigation app. I have to copy and paste it using the clipboard instead.
      However, because Proton Calendar automatically sends email invitations, I often cannot even use this workaround, as the elderly participants would once again be confused by the .ics attachment (see point 2).
      Consequently, I am currently forced to enter every destination manually into my navigation app as well.
      This involves a cumbersome back-and-forth between different apps, which takes time and creates additional opportunities for errors.

   5. Visibility of appointment notes
      Even in the one-day view, Proton Calendar does not display the notes attached to an appointment, or even indicate whether a note is available.
      This means I have to open each appointment individually just to check whether any notes have been added.

   6. No possibility of a partial switch
      Since I cannot synchronize Proton Calendar with aCalendar+ (which I understand), I have no choice but to commit to Proton Calendar either COMPLETELY or NOT AT ALL.
      There is no viable middle ground.

   Conclusion
   Taken together, all of these issues result in additional work and an increased risk of errors.
   These problems urgently need to be addressed if Proton Calendar is to become a genuine alternative for my everyday use.

   I would very much welcome improvements in these areas.

   Vorweg: bisher habe ich in Android die App "aCalendar+-" benutzt. Da der Proton-Calendar sich nicht synchronisieren lässt (nachvollziehbar wegen Datenschutz), muss ich mich entscheiden zwischen Nicht-Proton-Calendar oder Proton-Calendar.
   1. Die Spalten im Proton-C. verbrauchen extrem viel Platz für die Zeiten ohne Eintrag. Damit fehlt Platz für Termin-Informationen, die direkt sichtbar angezeigt werden. Das ist durch die Kachel-Darstellung in "aCalendar+" viel besser gelöst. Selbst in der Wochenansicht kann ich dort mehr ablesen als in der Drei-Tagesansicht von Proton-C.
   2. Ich habe "Teilnehmer", die ich aber nicht verpflichtend einladen will. Einen "Aussschalter" für die Email-Einladung finde ich aber nicht. Da es Senioren sind, können diese oft mit dem Kalender-Anhang .ics nichts anfangen und wären nur verwirrt. Also kann ich derzeit dort nichts eintragen, was für mich bedeutet: alles wieder per Hand immer wieder neu im Titel eintragen - was den wieder unnötig verlängert und so Platzprobleme nochmals vergrößert. Ich würde gerne jeweils entscheiden, ob eine Email an den Teilnehmer versendet wird oder nicht. Manchmal macht es Sinn, manchmal eben nicht.
   3. Im "aCalendar+" bekomme ich auch einen Zielort angeboten, wenn ich einen Teilnehmer eintrage. Da ich viele Hausbesuche mache, kann ich diesen Zielort dort einfach bestätigen. Im Proton-C. kriege ich noch nicht einmal dann einen Zielort angeboten, wenn ich diesen Teilnehmer besuchen will und auch eine Email-Einladung versende. Ich muss also JEDEN ZIELORT manuell eintragen. Das kostet Zeit und ist fehleranfällig.
   4. Bei einem eingetragenen Zielort kann ich aus dem aCalender+ heraus auch direkt die Ortsangabe an die Navi-Software weitergeben. Für diese Fahrten ist das optimal. Beim Proton-C. kann ich auch den Ort nicht an das Navi direkt weiter geben, sondern muss dies über die Zwischenablage tun. Was allerdings wegen der Zwangseinladung per Email oft von mir auch nicht gemacht werden kann, da dann die Senioren wieder irritiert werden durch den Email-Anhang (siehe Punkt 2). Derzeit bin ich also auch hier gezwungen, den Zielort manuell ins Navi einzutragen. Das bedeutet ein aufwändiges hin und her zwischen verschiedenen Apps - was Zeit kostet und Fehler produziert.
   5. Die Notiz zu einem Termineintrag im Proton-C. bekomme ich auch bei der Ein-Tages-Ansicht nicht gezeigt bzw. ob dort eine einsehbar ist oder nicht. Ich muss also jeden Termin dann separat öffnen um nachzusehen, ob dazu eine Notiz hinterlegt wurde.
   6. Da ich ja keine Synchronisation zwischen Proton-C. und aCalenar+ haben kann (was ich verstehe), kann ich mich nur GANZ oder GAR NICHT für den Proton-C. entscheiden. Einen alternativen Mittelweg gibt es nicht.

   Aus allen Punkten zusammen ergibt sich ein Mehraufwand plus eine zusätzliche Fehleranfälligkeit, die dringend reduziert werden muss, damit Proton eine echte Alternative wird.]

2. Simplify the scope of Calendar

   Proton’s standard calendar covers 24 hours a day. I don’t work at night.

   I am therefore looking for a way to adjust the layout of my calendars, by modifying the time schedule, for example from 07:00 to 20:00 (instead of 00:00 to 24:00).
   This allows you to browse more efficiently in this time slot, while keeping the display of 1, 3 days or the week (so without using the agenda version).
   Is there a setting that allows this?

3. The mail header should take less space (Desktop/Web)

   The current mail header in Desktop/Web app wastes a lot of space. For most desktops PC the screen is pretty large and so the current mail header has a lot empty space.

   At the same time the headers takes a lot of screen high. Especially with labels and info messages like mailing list or tracking protection on it.

   With a 27" display often the message content dosnt start below 1/3 of the screen. Witch is prrety bad since the content usually is the important part of a mail.

   In gmail in comparsion the mail header is ofthen half of the since compared to Proton Mail.

   Please make the mail header more compact so the content has more space.

4. Include time on emails for yesterday in proton mail web

   Please consider adding time to the mail list and mail details. Showing 'yesterday' at 09:05 the next morning does not give necessary information to you on when exactly the email was received. Knowing what time the previous day an email arrived is pretty important.

   I understand why you may want to save screen real estate on the email list by not showing time (although there's a tonne of space anyway), but when you open an email it should really always show date and time rather than just yesterday.

5. Additional fields in contacts

   It would be very helpful to add prefix, middle name(s), and suffix to the existing first and last name fields (look up apple contacts). It keeps data neat, sorting correct and users happy. Bonus points for maiden name too!

6. Separate mail and calendar into different apps

   add a separate proton calendar icon to the Proton mail/calendar app, so you can directly open the calendar without opening the mail app.
   for example the ms mail and calendar app is one app but it behaves as a mail and a separate calendar app.

7. Add 12-Hour Time Format Option to Booking Page Scheduling Tool

   I'd like to request that Proton Calendar add a 12-hour time format option (with AM/PM indicators) specifically for the new booking page scheduling tool.

   While Proton Calendar may have a general time format setting, the booking page scheduling tool currently displays times exclusively in 24-hour format. This creates confusion for users in regions where 12-hour time is the standard when they share their availability or book meetings with others.

9. Flagging email importance

   I would like to be able to flag the importance of outgoing emails. Default should be Normal, but it would be nice to be able set the importance/priority to High for some emails, so the recipient knows whether an email has above average importance and could also filter by this flag.

   Note that this is different than the Star marking, which can not be applied during email composition and can not be transferred to the recipient.

    Please allow to choose which of the email addresses are usable to login to the account.

    This way, the user can keep the login email totally secret, and the "public" ones impossible to try to use to login.

12. Proton Scribe should be included in the Proton Unlimited plan

    It's not really an "Unlimited" plan if a feature is left out. Why is Scribe included in the Duo and Family plans, but not Unlimited? I don't need a plan for more than one person, and I don't need any more storage space, so having to upgrade to a multi-person plan as an individual is an expensive option just to get this one feature (the only feature lacking on the Unlimited plan).

13. Privacy-Preserving Notifications/Generic Notification Mode

    Recently, reports involving Signal highlighted that operating system notification databases may retain sensitive information from message notifications, even after the original messages are deleted. While this example involved Signal and iOS, the same general risk may apply to other apps and operating systems where notification content is stored or indexed outside the app.

    For privacy-focused users, Proton Mail and other Proton products should offer an option to use generic notification text instead of exposing message content in system notifications.

    For example, instead of showing sender names, subject lines, or message previews, the notification could simply say:

    “New Proton Mail message received”

    This would reduce the chance that sensitive email metadata or content could later be recovered from operating system notification logs, backups, search indexes, forensic tools, or other third-party access.

    Suggested feature: Generic Notification Mode

    Proposed options:

    Show full notification preview
    Show sender only
    Show generic notification only
    Disable notifications entirely

    This would be a valuable privacy enhancement for Proton Mail, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, Proton Pass, and other Proton apps where notifications may reveal sensitive content.

14. Booking - Length of bookable slots

    Currently, it is only possible to offer slots of a maximum of 2h. Sometimes, this is insufficient, as I would like people to be able to select a whole morning or afternoon. Now, I have to offer a ‚start-slot‘, and add a description that this would mean the whole afternoon. Doesn’t tie in with the check for available time in my personal calendars.

15. Have two-way sync between Proton Calendar and Vivaldi browser's calendar function.

    I have grown accustomed to using Proton Mail in Vivaldi browser (thank you for finally allowing this!) but I still lack the ability to have a two-way sync between my Proton Calendar and Vivaldi's calendar function. It would be great to have the ability to do this. Vivaldi is so much better than Thunderbird in my view.

16. Make whole day bookings available on the booking pages not only hours

    it would be very beneficial if it were possible to book whole days instead of 30min slots. This would allow me to use it for a booking calendar for many things like tours or chalets or something like that

17. Mass email delete by date

    Please give us the option to mass delete emails. Ideally delete by date, For example all emails from Jan 1, 2022 and older. This helps us clean out our emails, saves server space, and has important privacy implications. I'll bet I'm not the first to ask for this, but I was encouraged to ask here to add my request to others. Hopefully there is enough demand or you see the need, to get some attention to this change. 18. Move or Archive conversation as a whole via keyboard shortcut

    MAC desktop App for proton mail version 1.12.1

    Current behaviour
    When a conversation is open pressing the keyboard shortcut 'A' archives a single message from that conversation.
    When a conversation is open pressing the toolbar archive button archives the entire conversation.
    The tooltip on the toolbar archive button shows the Letter A as the shortcut.

    Desired functionality
    Make a clear distinction between the two functions of archiving an entire conversation vs a single message.
