  1. Hide some default folders (e.g. drafts, spam...) from the sidebar

I would like to have an option to hide some of the default folders from the side bar and put them under a "more" drop-down menu or something similar. And an option to re-order default folders would be nice as well.

Secondly, most of the time I don't want to see messages I've deleted, in the "All mail" folder. A toggle to show and hide trashed emails would be great.

You can hide folders you don't use often in the web version of Proton Mail. Expand the "More" section and drag them here.

We've also planned to let you hide spam and trash emails from All Mail.

  3. Allow Protonmail app to be setup as an ios14 default mail client

With the new guidelines apple set forth for default email client on the new ios14, would protonmail be capable of being the default client?

Would love to have this as a thing.

  4. Dark mode

I'd like to see a dark mode for the email UI, both app and for the browser. Goes a long way as a quality of life feature.

In the web version of Proton Mail, you can drag folders such as Sent, Starred or Archive to the "More" section to keep them collapsed.

  6. App selector within ProtonMail

I am unsure if this presently exists, but I think it would be beneficial to have the calendar and the contacts open in individual tabs so one could easily switch between the applications of mail, calendar and contacts without having to close the other tab.

With the new ProtonMail, you can easily switch between your ProtonMail, Proton Calendar and Proton Drive using the app switcher. The contacts widget is also easily accessible within ProtonMail. Give this a try at mail.protonmail.com today.

  8. Pixel tracking in emails

Seeing images in an email makes it feel like I'm in the 21st century, but I dont want to be tracked with pixels or other technology, would be nice to block these without blocking images. Kind of like what hey.com does.

  9. Dedicated gmail Import Tool / Feature (Without Using The Bridge)

Please provide a stand alone method to import all gmail message history, without the use of a bridge. So many of us would like to completely leave gmail behind, but cannot because we still rely on the message history in old gmail accounts.

I don't want to download the message history to a computer. I want to transfer all messages directly to folders in my active PM accounts, where I can access them at any time within my PM accounts. Thanks.

  10. Support multiple accounts on iOS

Either allow multiple accounts to be open simultaneously in the iOS app or add option to switch between accounts without having to formally log out and log in between each swap.

Despite allowing multiple aliases for a single account, if you have a personal account but also shared an account (eg with a spouse) aliases don’t suffice. The idea of forwarding every email from one account to another is archaic, lose for user and lose for proton mail because you’ll be storing the same message twice unnecessarily.

Multiple account support is a basic feature for email apps.

  11. Archive button on iOS app

I almost always archive rather than delete messages once I’ve read them. The iOS app needs a setting to toggle the behaviour of trashing a file to archiving it, or ideally provide an Archive button. It’s the only thing that’s preventing me from using ProtonMail as my main email provider

  12. Schedule Emails

I have another email service that allows users to schedule draft emails to be sent at a specified date/time in the future. Once the draft is complete, the email is automatically sent at the future specified date/time, unless that draft email is deleted/replaced prior to the send date/time. The draft email can either reside in an existing "draft" folder or a separate "outbox" folder (as distinguished from "draft" that does not have a scheduled send date/time).

  13. Block sender

It would be great to be able to block certain email addresses from being able to send you emails. Not just a filter to go to “spam” but being able to actually block the sender totally

  16. Hide 'Spam' and 'Trash' from 'All Mail' folder.

Currently the All Mail folder displays trashed and spam emails. Since this is a good folder for getting good overview of all mails (including those in potentially many folders) some users (like me) use it a lot. It can be very disconcerting to see trash and spam in there, and defeats the purpose of spam and trash.

Thanks to your collective feedback, Spam and Trash emails are now excluded from the All Mail folder. You can control this behavior from Settings > Messages and composing > Exclude Spam/Trash from All mail.

  17. Snooze emails

To POSTPONE an existing email and receiving it back to your inbox at an specified future date.

It would be good to be able to access all posponed emails by creating a new smart tag "POSTPONED"

Same feature in gmail and other services that gives your inbox ToDo capabilities.

It’s taking me 30 mins a day to delete 100-200 emails this is time consuming and damn right idiotic that the feature isn’t here already

    Hey everyone,
Cleaning up your inbox just got easier – you can now label, move, delete, or mark as read all emails in a folder (including your main Inbox) at once on the Proton Mail web app.

To get started, select all messages on a page. You'll see the option to select all messages in the location (e.g. Inbox) you're in. Then, simply apply actions in bulk, making it easier to manage your inbox.

    Thank you for your feedback!

  20. ProtonMail Bridge for Linux

I don't have a Windows or OSX machine, so ProtonMail Bridge doesn't appear to be an option for me. Is there any way Bridge for Linux could happen? The site says it's coming soon, but when is soon?
