1. Event share links

   The ability to share links to events on Proton Calendar, in which recipients can RSVP using, instead of exclusively via email.

   Would be a nice feature, especially when working with people outside your organisation, and in a personal setting.

2. Name the color labels in calendar so I remember what I chose for a category

   I love being able to use colors for a category of meeting in calendar (red, blue, etc) but then I sometimes have to look back and confirm what I chose for a previous type...would be great if we could rename then from the color to "school", "work", etc.

   I can't see whether someone already posted this since there are so many ideas suggested. Sorry if it's a repeat.

3. Allow users to generate separate SMTP credentials to enable secure third-party integration

   Note: This is a different request than the similar SMTP Token customization.

   Problem Statement

   Currently, Proton Mail (including Proton Bridge) uses the same authentication credentials for both receiving and sending email. This creates a security risk when integrating third-party services:

   Single Point of Failure: Any service with my credentials can send emails from my account
   No Safe-by-Design Option: Even if I instruct an AI agent not to send, there's no technical enforcement
   Least-Privilege Violation: Services that only need to read/process mail shouldn't have send capability
   

   Use Cases

   AI Email Assistants: Sort, prioritize, summarize incoming mail without send risk
   Automation Scripts: Process incoming mail for workflows (e.g., ticket creation, notifications)
   Third-Party Filters: Advanced spam filtering, categorization services
   Backup Solutions: Secure mail archiving without send capability
   

   Greatest security threat is AI agents. Handing the ability to read emails to an agent automatically allows it access to sending mail as well. AI agents should not be able to access SMTP and admin panels just with the credentials to read email.

   Quick test implementation opportunity: Implement it in Proton Mail Bridge first. This should be a relatively minor update without impacting the general Protonmail service.

4. Allow organizational admins to disable mail forwarding

   Currently, anyone within an organization could set up mail forwarding and send all their communications to an insecure email, essentially exfiltrating company data. As an organizational admin, I would like to disable this for security reasons. I think this setting could live near the 2fa/mfa settings so that as an admin, I can lock down this functionality.

5. Improve UI/UX for replying to emails

   I'm not sure about anyone else but it's quite frustrating that the interface for writing a reply to an email covers up the email you are trying to reply to.

   Would it not be better to follow the UI of Google Mail where you can reply in a box under the actual email you're replying to instead of having this floating window stuck to the bottom of the page?

7. To Proton Developers

   "Keep it Simple". Adding duplication to each line of email is exactly that, duplication. The icon for an attachment is already shown to the far right. Why add an additional line show what it is in the email description?

   I hate this, please, please, please give me the option to Turn It Off!

8. "Add to Existing Filter" Function

   As I have been building out a fairly deep organizational structure using the "Filter" feature, I would like to bring up one thing to potentially add. I have seen similar idea posts on here but hopefully this is a quick and easy to implement solution.

   When an email comes in that has a slight difference that goes outside the filters already set, I would like an "Add to Existing Filter" function through any of the emails I open.

   Example:
   1. Open an email in "Inbox"
   2. Click the "Filter On" button which already shows:
   - Subject
   - Sender
   - Recipient
   - Attachment
   3. Click any of the following but include an "Add to Existing Filter" in the "Add filter" popup window.
   4. Selecting "Add to Existing Filter" will allow you to select an already existing filter to edit.

   OR

   Put the "Add to Existing Filter" as a fifth option after clicking the "Filter On" button. If you do this, you can shorten "Add to Existing Filter" to "Add to" to keep it more in line with the other four option's text length.

   Currently I have to go into settings, scroll through to find the filter, have both an email window and settings window up to make sure I apply the changes to the specific filter correctly.

9. Move entire thread/conversation to folder

   Unless I'm missing something I often find the "move to folder" function does not work because the message is part of a thread.
   I have to mark every contribution for movement! It would be helpful to have the option to move the whole thread to a folder in one action (this seems so obvious that I suspect I've missed it somehow).

11. Add right-click option to view received mail in a new window (browser).

    It would be helpful to be able to either right-click or double-click on messages in folders in order to have them occupy a different window or tab when using P Mail from a browser.

13. Label before sending

    It would be very nice if we could label an originally drafted outgoing mail prior to hitting "Send." Then, I wouldn't have to click into the Sent folder after each email or at the end of the day to label my originally drafted emails.

15. Creating calendar events from link

    It would be amazing if it was possible to create calendar events from a link, like in Google Calendar.

    For example: calendar.google.com/calendar/render?action=TEMPLATE allows one to then put in the text, dates, details, location etc.

    This allows for easy event sharing with others, but also makes it possible to create events through an app (which simply puts together and returns a string with the link). This makes it easy to add custom behaviour with code, without needing to open up the full API to users - it could be a relatively simple stepping stone in lieu of Calendar API.

    I apologise if something like this already exists, but to the best of my searching abilities, it does not currently seem to be possible.

20. "Filter similar emails" when cleaning out the mailbox

    I Gmail I love the feature (when selected one or more emails) "filter similar email", and then it selects all email from that address, så I can deleted them all at once. I don't see that option in Proton Mail, and really miss it,
