make new features for Proton
Well, I’ve been trying to figure out if my screen has any weird color issues, but all the tools I find seem sketchy or require downloads. Do you happen to know something safe and easy to use? Can you add new feature in Proton - i think it's good idea!

Allow Android app to open a local ical file
I maintain a local calendar on my LAN that I would like access to on Proton on the go. I am currently syncing the ical file to my phone, but there is no way to configure the android app to automatically read/import a local ical file.
Right now, in order to achieve this I would need to punch a hole in my firewall and make my calendar publicly accessible.
Several potential solutions:
- Allow the android app to read local files in the same way that public ical files can be imported
- Another option could be something like proton bridge that maintains synchronization between the local file and the server that could be run on a home server (but this is more complicated).I maintain a local calendar on my LAN that I would like access to on Proton on the go. Add the ability to delete emails only from a specific group
Add the option, when clicking to delete a group, to also delete the email addresses in that group. Why is this necessary? First, it is a common option in many other contact managers. Second, there are times where contacts are being sourced elsewhere and periodically refreshed via importing from that other source. Currently, the only option is to manually search for every email that is in that group and delete them individually. This is very, very inconvenient.

In Android Mail App, support mapping the delete button to delete message not thread.
Deleting message is more useful than deleting thread. Currently, to delete the message, it takes a scroll to the top and two clicks: one to open the menu, another click to move message to trash. There already is customization of the button toolbar, but mapping to delete message does not seem possible.

Contacts and Calendar
In truth it is not a new idea but a request that has been reiterated for a long time and by various users. Google's abandonment presupposes that services such as calendar and address book can be used on Android with Proton account registration. If this problem is not resolved, the goal of abandoning Google becomes difficult to achieve.
This task is shown as completed but it is not. How much longer do we have to wait?4 votes -
Ability to remove tags automaticly when an item is moved to trash
When you move a item to trash you should be able to select if you want labels to be removed when that action occurs automatically. I don't want to see trashed items under my tags.

Add Select All, Unselect All button to Calendar web and mobile app
It is unnecessarily laborious, plus time consuming, to uncheck all but one of my 15 Calendars so that I may easily and quickly see the entries for that select Calendar. Then I must individually re-check each of the other 14 Calendars in order to see my entire schedule. Unselect All / Select All reduces this to 3 clicks. PLEASE make this addition to the Calendar functions. It will be a BIG improvement in functionality.

Timer on recovery options - password, email and phone
A friend lost access to their Google account recently. The hacker stole the phone and then changed password and recovery options on the email account.
While PM uses password to prevent recovery option changes, I felt it would also be prudent to prevent recovery option changes for some hours. This proposal aims to prevents recovery hijack (email and phone) after phone theft or unauthorised access and also prevents a user who knows your account password from changing recovery options without authorisation.
Proposed idea;
- Delay recovery email change for 8 hours.
- Delay recovery phone change for 8 hours.
Alternatively allow account holder to use old recovery email options for up to 72hrs, in the event that recovery option was changed without permission

Schedule recurring/repeating events by the 'third Wednesday of the month' or 'last day of month'
Sometimes I need to schedule something based on the day of the week and the number of weeks in the month. In other words, if I have something that occurs on the "third Wednesday of every month," I can't schedule it to happen monthly since the number of weeks in a month varies. There is currently no option for this, and I've had to resort to manually calendaring these events individually.

Have advertisments that you want to see auto delete after a set amount of time
I like getting offers from Proton and some online suppliers advertisements but we should be able to flag certain things to go into the trash (not the archive) after a set amount of time. If its been sitting in my inbox for a long period of time (opened, or unopened) like a sale for August but its December then it's probably ok to move to trash and then burn bin it without labelling the company as SPAM. You can even say don't delete anything that comes from MEGABANK CORP, or Purchase receipts/key activation codes. I look at my current mail account and every so often I have to go thru and delete ads that I like from the archive that spans maybe 2 years. If used properly and people know how this feature works, you could save a ton of storage space.

forward passmail alias to any of my protonmail alias
At the moment I seem to be able to only forward a passmail alias to the protonmail address I subscribed with. In order to better organize my passmail alias (categorize and different notification rules) I would like to be able to forward a passmail alias to any of my protonmail alias.

macOS Translate right-click
Hi,
A quick-win for the Proton Mail macOS app would be to add the standard macOS "Translate" action on right-click. It would be super appreciated as right now it's a nightmare to copy/paste into a separate translation engine; and it's standard behavior on a macOS app.
As a note, even if technically different, it is already the case on Proton Mail for iOS.
Thanks!

A Simple Idea to Stay Organized This Ramadan in Delhi
One simple idea that can make Ramadan smoother is planning your day around accurate prayer and fasting schedules. In a busy city like Delhi, knowing the exact iftar time Delhi helps you break your fast peacefully, while keeping track of sehri time Delhi ensures you start your fast correctly and without rush.
Having both timings in one place makes it easier to plan meals, prayers, work, and family time. It removes daily confusion and lets you focus more on spirituality, reflection, and togetherness during the holy month. A small habit like checking timings daily can truly improve your Ramadan experience.

Integrate Encrypted Photo Editing or Secure Lightroom-style Workflow in Proton Drive
As more creators and photographers use Proton Drive to back up their visual projects, it would be amazing to have a built-in photo preview and editing capability — something like a secure Lightroom-style workspace.
This feature could allow users to:
Edit RAW or DNG files directly from Proton Drive without downloading.
Apply basic adjustments like brightness, contrast, color grading, or cropping.
Maintain end-to-end encryption while editing (no image leaves the secure Proton environment).
Sync edits seamlessly across devices, similar to how Lightroom
syncs through the cloud — but with Proton’s focus on privacy and user control. It would make Proton Drive a go-to option for photographers and content creators who value both creative freedom and data security.<a href="https://lemodpro.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">LemodPro</a>

Remember or set default mailbox sort
Every time I open Proton Mail I must select my preferred inbox/folder sort. For web, I can bookmark the query parameter, e.g.
https://mail.proton.me/u/0/inbox#sort=date. Still, it's impossible to bookmark a view on Proton Desktop (Mail, Calendar), so I must select my preferred sort manually each time I open the Desktop app.I'd love for Mail to either remember my previously-selected sort, or to allow me to define a default sort.

Allow moving UI elements, like archive and trash, to different columns in the mail view
I would like the archive and trash icons to be movable so that I could have them between the multi-select box and the subject/message preview. This would make managing my inbox easier, since the message preview column is quite wide and the archive/delete buttons can be hard to see their relative alignment, especially on large monitors using the webapp.

proton.me addresses are sometimes not recognized as a valid address
I am not sure if there is a solution to this issue. Some retailers and businesses do not recognize proton.me as a valid email address, and I am forced to use a Gmail address.

Allow forwarding all emails from an alias to another person
It would be very useful if we were able to automatically forward all emails that an alias receives, rather than having to manually add all domains/senders we expect to recieve emails from.

Open emails inline in the list instead of reloading the page
When we use the layout 'row' for emails, clicking a message opens it on a separate page and reloads everything. It feels slower and breaks the flow. Check out how Yandex Mail does it: the email expands in place right inside the list without a full page reload. You can scroll up and down and still see the rest of the list. It's super convenient, fast, and there's no need to hit back just to return to the inbox. Plus it looks clean and modern. It would be awesome to have something similar here.
