  1. sync Android notifications properly

When getting a mail, we receive notification on mobile. If we read the mail from web, it does not clear the notification on mobile.

worse: sometime, I got a mail on web, read it, and got a notification on mobile nonetheless.

  2. Mobile Widget

I'd love to have a Widget for the mobile platform like Gmail has for Android. Please make a widget! :D

  4. Proton Mail MacOS app

For MacOS, for more protection, we should get a new MacOS app for ProtonMail. This is a more simple way of using ProtonMail instead of visiting the website or creating new encryption methods for existing mail apps (such as apple mail).

  5. Support for Spark Email Client

It would be great to get support for Spark. If you're unfamiliar with Spark by Readdle, you can check it out here: https://sparkmailapp.com/

I have 10+ email accounts that I manage with Spark. It supports every single type of mail service there is, but because of ProtonMail's security and encryption, they are currently not compatible. Gmail, Exchange, iCloud, everything but ProtonMail. Would really like to get that working.

  6. filter on addresses

It would be nice if we could easily sort mail based on the address it's delivered to for those who have several addresses for one account. Filtering on recipient does not suffice as sometimes you're addressed as BCC.

Fortunately a solution currently exist in using a sieve filter that checks for the address in the "Delivered-To" header. But in my view a significant use case for using different addresses is to easily sort email so this should be able to be done without writing a piece of code.

  7. More colours for folders and lables

I'm sure there are people like me who like to use colour codes. I find myself running out of colours and using repeated colours for my folders and labels. Be nice if we can have more colours.

  8. Some sort of Due Date, Reminder or Save for Later -- Ability

We need some sort of reminder or due date functionality to save emails for later or have a reminder for ones that might need attention later.

  10. ProtonMail Bridge-arm64/arm7hf

ProtonMail Bridge , on IOT , IE RPI or router ,
Also Linux Amr64 server class ..
anycase , could have rpi/rock64/pine64 password/pin proxy on a small iot/mini class appliance , esp for SMB/Enterprise customers , for home luks based IOT gateway might be a nice to have , if packages existed for arm7hf/arm64 sure someone could make an image on github rather trivially or a builder.. script/s
    s/imap proxy ..
besides a number of debian/etc dockers with qemu to build if gateway is closed source... feed in debbuild etc... , even if proton-mail had obfuscated public sources , a…

  11. Option for 2FA that is not phone based

The problem with your 2FA is that it is phone based, at least in part, as is Authy. Anybody can spoof a SIM card and go right around your 2FAs. It's why I use Yubikey.

  12. Send As (from external address - Add support for EXTERNAL SMTP servers in apps)

It would be nice to be able to send an email as a different address.
Google has a feature like this. So I can send from my schools .edu account from inside my personal gmail.

  13. ProtonMail Bridge for Android and iOS

There are already great mail clients on Android and iOS available. It would be nice if I could use them with protonmail as well.

  14. Bookmark toolbar notification of email

I'm running a desktop Apple with OS10.14.3. I use, almost exclusively Firefox and Brave browser apps, for which a I have ProtonMail set on my Bookmark toolbar.

What would be helpful is to have the ProtonMail icon, on the toolbar signal when there is new incoming mail. As it stands, right now, I am able to get that notification on my iPhone (via the ProtonMail app), but I've not found a way to format the web-based browsers to make the same kind of notification...

  15. customize toobar when viewing message

When viewing a message the top toolbar shows:

    • mark as unread
    • add label
    • move to folder
    • trash
    • dropdown

It would be great to be able to customize what options appear up there. For example, I will more likely archive something over adding a label to it, so I'd rather have the archive button more accessible.

    Thank you.

  16. Filtered message expiration

ProtonMail has an existing message expiration feature. It would be helpful to expose this feature to Sieve and/or the basic filter system. This would allow automatic deletion of ephemeral notification emails, like package delivery notifications.

  17. Filter notifications

It would be nice to be able to turn off/on notifications for various emails. Probably the simplest solution would be to add one additional action for a filter next to Apply Lebels, Move To, Mark As we could also have Notify.

This would be very handy for some notification from busy mailing lists, where one would only want to get a notification when an email is directly addressed to you, or in a response to your email.

  18. Rules to opt-out of conversation grouping

I really like conversation grouping, but there are certain situations where it is really not that useful. In one example, I get an email from my building when I get a new package delivered. In each of those emails, the subject is essentially "Your UPS package has arrived" or "Your Fedex package has arrived", etc. I'd like for these messages not to be grouped at all. In this case, the emails are all coming from the same email address so that is one way to do it. Alternatively if you had something like a pattern match on the subject line?…

  19. Resend already sent email

I do not see any ready way to resend an existing email. If I want to send the same email to several individuals without using CC or BCC, there doesn't seem to be any means to do so. This would be a helpful feature to have.

  20. POP3

I eschew Webmail wherever i can, strongly preferring local-pc client-based email / PIM functionality [currently Thunderbird, with POP3]. It remains greatly inconvenient to me that you still do not have POP3 support. No, i do not care at all about your mobile apps... useless to me... i want it on my pc with POP3. I would stop using ProtonMail altogether [due to this problem] if it wasn't for the fact that you have such excellent security criteria... but i persist with the Webmail-only access under sufferance. PLEASE give POP3 support.
