Silently mark as read duplicate messages that I receive because the message was sent directly to me and a mailing list I'm on
Right now, if I'm on a mailing list (say, bicyclists@asdf.com) and a message is sent to both me and the mailing list, I get the message twice. It'd be nice if Proton either never shows me the second message (strongly preferred), or marks the duplicate message as read once I've read one copy of the message.
This happens frequently when someone replies to a message I've sent to a list, because they hit Reply-All.

Create outgoing filters for the email and be able to send them to a folder.
Add to the current filtering the ability to recognize the outgoing recipient, and be able to be filtered into a folder or folders.

Paid Mail plan in Mini version
Sorry, but I don't want to pay 3.29/4.09 for email for features I don't need. There are many cheaper options on the market. I'd prefer to show support for Proton in a paid plan with minimal features, like your own domain, for an even lower price of 1 or 2 coins. It's better than the free version.

Recent Visual Changes to UI
As part of the newest update to the app for my Android device, the very first thing I noticed was the spacing. Why is this a regular issue with updates, where everything needs to be spaced out more? The issue is that users can read or see more on the screen without these changes, but once implemented we are not left with any option to compress the new or switch back to the older visualization styles. When a user is used to a specific look, and that drastically changes with the addition of inconvenient scrolling to do something that did not previously require it, it is incredibly annoying. Less is more. Let us try and vote or go back or give us options to keep similar. Please!

Shortcuts to different calendar layouts
I have still split my my events half in Proton and half in Google as I did not yet find a good solution.
I distinguish between two calendars:
- One for Events (like birthdays, meet colleague xy, holidays) => Everything I want to see on a monthly view, to be able to see when I am free
- One for small stuff I need to remember during the day (write back xy, book flight) => I want to view those on a schedule overview where they are just listedI tried to do this in Proton Calendar with different calendars, but I never want to see both at the same time as it gets too crowded then. So to switch I need to toggle the calendars and switch the view, which is like 5 clicks, so too annoying to live with that. Also with app duplication features (like on Honor phones) it does not work as the current active view is synced into the account.
My proposal:
- Have some kind of layout feature where you can store the active view and simply switch between different views (active calendars, which view is active monthly, daily, etc).
- In the best case you can even make shortcuts to those layouts on the phones home screen.
- And even more great would be to have a different standard calendar set for new entries, depending on which layout is active.I have still split my my events half in Proton and half in Google as I did not yet find a good solution.

Option to show entire day
A option to set at what time you want the day to start and end. So the view scales the calendar to these times. So you can see all your events for the day(s) without scrolling

Fix issue with event notifications showing the time as one hour too early
All of the notifications I now receive from Proton Calendar are an hour early. The event in the calendar shows the correct time, but the notifications come an hour early and show the event time as an hour early.

Stop forcing the view to the top after loading an email.
Every time I open an email to read it and start scrolling down, it always throws me back to the top of the email once all things related to it have loaded. This is extremely annoying when I'm dealing with 10s of emails a day. Please stop forcing the display of the email to override user input and reorient the view to the top of the email once it gets everything loaded.

1x1 iOS widget for today’s date/weekday
The Apple Calendar app icon features today’s date and day of the week. Of course, Proton Calendar‘s app icon cannot change dynamically, but a 1x1 widget delivering this functionality would be great.

Show the day of the week in the calendar side panel
The "calendar in side panel" feature in Proton Mail is so convenient! It’d be even better if we could see the day of the week next to the date at the top of the panel. For instance, instead of "Aug 28, 2025" I’d like to see "Thu, Aug 28, 2025".

Add a link to the contact proton page after a user creates a proton account
After a user creates a new proton account, the account has initial restrictions to prevent spam/etc.... If the user completes this by upgrading immediately, these restrictions may not be lifted right away. The account holder has no way to contact proton about the issue, unless he/she tries to find it. Add a link to the contact proton page.
This link explains it.

Mozilla Firefox 143.0b5 x64 — "Unsupported browser"
When I try to open mail.proton.me I constantly see an error message with the text:
Unsupported browser. You are using an unsupported browser. Please update it to the latest version or use a different browser. More info
At the same time, on proton.me/support/recommended-browsers I read:
Proton Mail has been fully tested and works well with most modern browsers. However, we only recommend browsers that also respect your privacy. These include:
Mozilla FirefoxDid Mozilla break something in its beta, causing it to stop supporting something necessary for mail.proton.me to work?

Don't promise to save a draft, when it is not saved.
If open a previous created draft e-mail on my android phone.
Than close it. Proton reports the draft is being saved. and gives an option to negect it (negeer in Dutch)
While i didn't change anything to the draft it seemed nonsense to save it. So in a impuls I clicked 'neglect'..And now my draft is deleted.. with all info I needed badly.
Why is this button there while saving? Why isn't it called PERMANENTLY DELETE draft??
'Neglecting saving a file' is not the same as deleting the original. Not in any program I know.
Also not in the proton desktop version.
Why is the draft not put in the bin? So it can be retrieved. If open a previous created draft e-mail on my android phone.

See the raw message or at least raw headers
Please allow an option to see the raw message in the app, especially ALL headers, including X- headers.
While Proton does what it can to help protect users, much more information is in the raw message, especially the headers. We are robbed of examining these in the mobile app. This is a SECURITY option.
This needn't be an "always on" option, simply a choice to see it as an option ad hoc on individual messages. Seeing all headers all the time is unnecessary. But on certain messages, I want to see everything I've been sent.61 votes -
Add "today" button to Proton Calendar mobile app
It is easy to get lost in dates when checking your future events. It would be great to have a "Today" button on a mobile app as there is one on the desktop web app.

Right click support for quickly changing event color
google calendar has added support for using right click to offer the color options. This is very useful for quickly categorizing priority of events.
