Sub-domains for Custom Domains
Kind of shocking this facility doesn't exist already, but even if only 3 top-level domains are allowed, sub-domains of those 3 TLD's need to be allowed as well. Not happy this isn't an available feature having just signed up for Family.

Move or Archive conversation as a whole via keyboard shortcut
MAC desktop App for proton mail version 1.12.1
Current behaviour
When a conversation is open pressing the keyboard shortcut 'A' archives a single message from that conversation.
When a conversation is open pressing the toolbar archive button archives the entire conversation.
The tooltip on the toolbar archive button shows the Letter A as the shortcut.Desired functionality

Enhanced filter and newsletter management
Someone already suggested dynamic filter creations and it's an amazing idea. I want to expand it and suggest something similar for newsletters.
The pop-up saying "This message is from a mailing list should include 3 actions, and after one is selected, the pop-up should never appear again for that newsletter:
- Accept
- Unsubscribe
- Filter (this prompts the user to select what to do with these emails like in the filter creation flow and automatically creates a filter for the newsletter)5 votes -
Why can't labels and folders have the same name?
Folders and labels have a different function and are stored separately. I might want to label emails and use a folder with the same name for the respective functionalities. It doesn't seem logical that they can't have the same name.
It's clear that I can add e.g. a prefix to one of these, but it's messy.

Calendar Items that Overlap; Overlap w/ Transparency Instead of Side by Side
When calendar events overlap, it would be nice for them to become transparent in color and for the items to overlap instead of items shrinking to fit side by side. This would allow the user to still read the contents of events easily instead of them becoming nearly unreadable when side by side.

Let the user set scheduled send presets
Right now, when you schedule an email to be sent. The defaults are the next day at 8am or Monday at 8am.
I'd like to be able to, at least, set the 2 defaults in my preferences.For example, I like to schedule emails for just before the end of the work day and have to do this manually every time.

Add option to stop processing email filters
Please add a "stop processing filters" option to the custom filters - to prevent mail that meets the criteria of the first filter with this option enabled being processed by subsequent filters.
For example, if I have a rule that sends email to the trash or spam, I may not want subsequent filters from moving it elsewhere.

Better UI for Calendar
I moved to Proton Calendar a month ago, from Outlook and Google Calendar. I am frustrated with the user interface, and feel it adds to much "friction" to daily task like creating or moving events. It is the same both on Android and Windows. Do you have plans for improving UI, or providing integration with external calendar clients?

User interface colors are not user friendly
You folk might like deep purple (not the band) but the theme is difficult to distinguish between one proton app and another . -- especially on mobile devices. I know people are touchy about this subject, but you need a radical redesign of your UI. Its easy to mke mistakes using your app and the color changes would help a lot.. I truly wish you would spend the money and hire a real UI designer maybe someone from the old Jobs apple era and have them redo mail and please calendar .. which I have totally given up using ..…

Proton Calendar: Set date by day, month and year
When creating an event in Proton Calendar, it would be great to be able to select the day, month and year separately. On the web / desktop app, you can scroll through by month which is somewhat acceptable, but on iOS, you have to scroll day by day. Very cumbersome if you are trying to add an event a year or more into the future.

Improve efficiency of "Move messages to" action
The "Move messages to" action/menu recently changed, and resulted in an increase of required clicks to perform that action. This is significant for me, as I do a lot of organizing of emails into folders. Just one extra click adds up to a lot of extra work for me.
There are two use cases that I would like to see improved:
First use case:
1) Select emails to move
2) Click "Move messages to" button
3) Click the desired folder from the list

Make Auto Reply Faster to Access and Place Notification at top of Mail Window
The Auto Reply / Out of Office feature should be faster to access within the Mail app or window instead of navigating to All Settings first. Then, when the Auto Reply is active, a static notification should appear at the top of the window reminding the user that Auto Reply is active. This is common in other major mail services.

Please make the conversation view optional
People have different workflows and preferences. Personally, I find the conversation view sometimes confusing in very long threads (in those cases, I prefer to organize things myself). But I know there are those who prefer this mode of viewing.
Therefore, I STRONGLY request that you provide an option to disable the conversation/thread view as soon as possible.
This has been preventing me from using your email as my primary one. As a subscriber, it’s frustrating.

Clear Proton Mail Android notification, if that new email was read on desktop or another device
So if I receive a new email, my phone notifies me, and notification stays until I open Proton Mail on my Android phone and read the email. However, if I am at home by my computer, I get a new email, my phone notifies me, but I read that email on my PC instead without touching my phone. The notification of that email stays on my phone screen until I unlock the phone and clear it.
Gmail app would clear the notification of the new email, if that email was (marked) read through PC or other device.

Mail App - Move mail to Folder - implement search function
On Proton Mail Android App: When I want to move a mail to a specific folder, I need to scroll through all of them. It would be nice if a search bar appears where I can search for a specific folder. Yes, I have plenty of folders. :)

Seamless labelling with hotkeys
Make enter apply the label that is highlighted.
A feature from Gmail that I love is that it's super simple to apply labels with keyboard shortcuts; open label dialog, search for a label and press enter. Job done.
Unless I'm doing it wrong, in Proton Mail on web I have to press "L" to get the labels, search for a label and then use tab key + enter or the mouse pointer to actually apply the label. Ability to disable login capability for added additional addresses
The fact that I can have more than one address tied to one Proton account is genius, I use it a lot, but here's the thing: I want to disable login capability for some of those addresses.
Like most, I have an account that has a lot of my personal information (Pass, Mail, Drive...), and I also have additional email addresses set up for various purposes. Delete all past events button
When I use calendar, I delete past events. This is a nightmare. You have to open, click delete button and confirm. 3 steps for each event.
Can you offer delteing by keyboard "delete" button without confirmation window to speed up deleting or offer bulk delete or even better would be button to "Delete all past events"?7 votes
