Customizable Android notification actions
There are currently three actions on the notification "Archive", "Trash" and "Mark Read". It would be great to be able to customize those such as we already can with the swipe actions.
I for one would never have mark read and archive there, but would add snooze and spam.

Allow undo on android notification quick action
Whenever seeing a notification you have three options "Archive", "Trash" and "Mark read". Clicking any of them will perform the action immediately, but very often I click "Archive" instead of "Trash" (muscle memory from Gmail listing delete as the first option) and it would be nice to undo on the same spot without having to open the app. Other mail apps like the aforementioned gmail allow undoing.

Overhaul of folders and unread email identification
I know there are similar requests in this vain, but I wanted to consolidate ways to deal with the "problem" here.
With the emphasis on aliases and the use of SimpleLogin (or similar) within Proton Mail ("PM"), for those of us that are (to a fault) uber-organized, the sidebar has become a huge list of folders to help manage all the emails from all the aliases. Filters place emails directly into the appropriate folders to be dealt with. In an overkill of organization, subfolders are used as well.
Example: a master folder might be "Travel" and general travel-related emails end…

Improve Calendar UI for more transparency
I migrated my business from M365 to Proton Business. Unfortunately, it’s not really possible to use the calendar for professional work. It would be helpful if you could change the resolution of the calendar view (e.g., hours, 30 minutes, 15 minutes). This would allow you to properly display and read appointments that last only 30 minutes.

Synchronise Proton contacts with mobile phone contacts
I think it would be really useful if you could synchronise Proton contacts from all Proton apps with the contacts on your mobile phone. And in both directions: so that I have all the contacts from my mobile phone on Proton, and all the contacts from Proton on my mobile phone. That way, I wouldn’t have to back up my contacts to iCloud, for example, and could back them up securely in Proton. But at the same time, I’d still have the contacts stored locally on my mobile phone so that I could easily use them for all messaging apps…

„Reminder“ function in Proton Calendar
I think it would be really useful if I could set a one-off event in Proton Calendar. Apple Calendar calls this a ‘reminder’. It’s very handy if you’re meeting someone at a specific time, need to be somewhere at that time, or simply want to be reminded.

API centric focus
Proton offers a range of products that are designed with privacy in mind. They can be used in all kinds of ways, as seen in all the requests done on this platform. Proton’s community is large and includes allot of developers.
This request is made to request a more API driven design for the proton ecosystem. Allow us to help you to build better and more tools.

Minimal FCM notification payloads on Android
I’d like to suggest a privacy-related feature for Proton Mail on Android regarding push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
While I understand FCM is required for timely notifications and message content remains end-to-end encrypted, notification payloads are still visible to Google’s infrastructure. Currently, these payloads may include metadata such as sender or subject, even when Android system settings hide notification content.
Feature request:
Please consider adding an app-level setting that lets users choose how much information is included in FCM notification payloads, for example:Full notification (current behavior)
Minimal notification (“You have a new message,” no sender/subject/metadata)

Schedule recurring/repeating events by the 'third Wednesday of the month' or 'last day of month'
Sometimes I need to schedule something based on the day of the week and the number of weeks in the month. In other words, if I have something that occurs on the "third Wednesday of every month," I can't schedule it to happen monthly since the number of weeks in a month varies. There is currently no option for this, and I've had to resort to manually calendaring these events individually.

Sharing calendar with non proton users to show a webpage and not to download a .ics
Hey, is this the year 2010 ? Because when I share a calendar and it gives me a link, I'd expect that this links shows the Proton Calendar webapp with my calendar in it. And I can then say if this link is viewer or editor. I don't know, like Google Docs, Proton Docs, Proton Sheets and oh everyone ??
Seriously how is Proton still in the Stone Age where they thought it was an okay thing to have a share link that was a mere « download a .ics » link ??? That freaking baffles me. Proton, get your…

Add proper contact sync for iOS and android
Similar issue posted earlier but closed prematurely by Proton:
We need to be able to sync proton contacts with phone contacts on Android and iOS. I am unable to completely migrate from Gmail without this.

Double-tap email to auto zoom
It would be nice if double-tapping the email body/text in the Proton Mail app for Android would auto zoom the text width to fit the display area. Similar behavior can be seen when viewing a PDF file with Google Drive. This would certainly improve usability and the overall user experience with Proton Mail.

Auto-Reply for Individual Addresses
Proton Mail currently only supports a single global auto-reply. Users with multiple addresses or aliases have no way to set individual auto-responses per address.
Proposed improvement: Allow users to configure auto-reply settings independently for each email address/alias on their account.
Each address should have its own:
Custom message text — so replies match the context of that address (e.g. professional tone for a work address, casual for personal)
Schedule (date range) — to enable auto-replies only during specific periods, independently per address
Sender filter — choose whether all senders or only known contacts trigger the auto-reply
On/off toggle — quickly…1 vote -
Add a 1 button apply all Filters to existing emails somewhere on the main page.
When creating filters for the first time, you have to either go to the settings menu to create and run them or you have to click the check box of an email > click the move the folder icon > select the folder > select 'Always Move sender's emails'. To apply that filter to past messages, you still have to go into filter settings, and run that 1 filter against the entire inbox.
If someone has a mailbox that they've never organized, this adds a lot of unnecessary back and forth between the Inbox to select an email and create…

Show warning when link text doesn't match destination
I recently sent some emails where I accidentally had a mismatch between link text and the destination itself.
One was where an email link didn't match its target:
alice@example.com (points to: bob@example.com)
I also had another email where the URL was slightly different from what was displayed:
example.com/profile/alice (points to: https://example.com/profile/bob)
I would blame myself for these mistakes, but the hover tooltip shows link text instead of the actual destination, giving a false sense of safety. The fix could be as simple as showing the destination in the tooltip, or adding a confirmation before sending when there's a…

Sync third-party calendars faster than within 8-16 hours
In the docs about subscribing to external calendars, you state that you sync third-party calendars like Google, Outlook, or Nextcloud only every 8 to 16 hours (https://proton.me/support/subscribe-to-external-calendar). This is by far too slow to make third-party subscriptions useful. If my iOS calendar app can sync a Google calendar within seconds, you should too. Please reduce the sync time to ideally less than 1 minute, but 5 minutes at most.

Better email thread grouping by actual email replies, not by subject
Current way of doing email thread is not reflecting what it should look like. Emails with the same subject but not on the same thread shows up grouped together and it is hard to use.
