Improve wording when applying filters to existing mail
I've created two labels and two filters and applied them to existing mails without any move action, now it's telling me "Moving a large amount of messages. This may take a while."
You're not moving anything, just applying labels to at most 50 emails.
It should say "Applying filters to existing messages", "Processing a large amount of messages" or something more universal.1 voteThank you for this feedback. Indeed, our copy can be more accurate and we will work on improving it.

multiple ProtonMail addresses to be view separately - split address mode
Separate email addresses are for separate things so it would be helpful to just click an email address from the menu and see only those emails sent to that specific ProtonMail address.

Mailspring support for ProtonMail Bridge
ProtonMail Bridge has bugs integrating with the Mailspring email client. The Mailspring team have expressed interest in working together to get these issues resolved. If the bugs could be fixed and the Bridge could get working with Mailspring it would be a great productivity booster!

Startmail explains it perfectly. They offer unlimited disposable aliases, which expire within a given amount of time. They also offer custom aliases which can be saved and used indefinitely.

1 click logout button
Currently it takes 2 clicks to logout of Protonmail. There's no reason for this, 1 is plenty enough. We should have a logout button on top: 1 click and you're out. Simple and fast, that's how it should always be.

Take a look at ZeroNetwork (https://zeronet.io/) and consider the existence of a server less ProtonMail system connected to secure social media and webbrowsing experience. What people dreamed TOR could provide, but in a better looking interface, truly secure and redundant storage.

Ability to use keybase.io keys for PGP mail
Many people have keybase.io accounts and already use those keys for encrypted mail. It would be lovely to have a feature that allows you to pull in those keys for sending encrypted mail through Protonmail.

In the labels drop-down menu, provide the check-box for 'Also mark as Read option'.

Hi,
Protonmail is a great service, but protecting your emails is still not enough to guarantee privacy. Considering that Google openly admits it is capitalizing on all the data stored in our Android devices, and that Apple or BlackBerry simply do not communicate on the data that they collect, protecting our privacy will require more than encrypted emails.
A new smartphone software company focused on software has been launched by former Nokia employees: Jolla (http://jolla.com/). It is focused on data privacy, and wishes to become an alternative to Android. It has already shipped a smartphone and a tablet.

When you click on Show Image this action is not saved for the mailadres of the sender!
Protonmail doesn't seem to register that the user clicked on the link Show Image? At this time when you return to the previous opened mail the images are blocked once more and you need to click on Show Image again. That's kind of annoying. Other mailservices provide the function 'always show images for this sender'. Thanks.

Encryption of all metadata
If Protonmail is to be serious about privacy, I don't understand why all metadata isn't kept solely in encrypted form. I just signed up for Scryptmail and any data is kept in encrypted form, unreadable for any third party.
I don't see why it would be necessary to keep for instance the senders or subject titles in encrypted form when Protonmail doesn't support POP3 or IMAP.
The problem is that otherwise e-mail is inherently insecure, because if for instance a governmental entity wants to see your account, while they won't have access to the content of your e-mails, they can…
3,604 votesWe have given this quite a bit of thought, but at the present moment, it is not clear the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages.
The biggest problem is search. Encrypting all metadata would break metadata search entirely on the web client as there is still no efficient way to handle search of encrypted data within a browser.
Secondly, metadata encryption’s value from a privacy standpoint is also somewhat dubious. Because we ultimately must deliver the message to the recipient, we must know who the recipient is. At the current time, there still isn’t any proven and viable way to work around this.
Metadata encryption is an area of continued research for us, and when the opportunity arises and the technology for doing this matures, we will definitely implement it in ProtonMail.

A PURGE option to purge all or some email from the server from being stored at all.
this email service is encrypted but they are still being stored on a server. I would like an option to purge some or all email from the server when needed/desired.

Use fuzzy search in contact search (when composing)
Given the name "Michael Denver" you have to enter all the letters in order for it to be found. Should also work with:

Save encryption passwords for non-PM contacts, also add a checkbox to send the password as a privnote style second link in the email.
When emailing an outside contact, save the encryption password to the contact, so next time you message them it automatically fills in that field with the agreed upon password.
So if I message someone and they have a password to access the message, next time I send it would default to encrypted with the same password.
You could also add a checkbox to send the password in the actual email as a second link that destroys when read, (just like privnote, which is how I send my passwords anyway)

A 'select all' feature
There is currently a select feature for a whole page, but instead of just one page (Kind of tedious if you have a lot of emails), either make the pages infinite depending on email count, or a select all feature.

Contact Icons
Make it so that we can add a photo to a contact. The photo will appear as an icon when viewing an email that includes that contact, or multiple icons if several contacts with photos are involved.
