The lack of this feature is my biggest complaint for the Android app. I want to mark messages as read in the notification dropdown. I never use the archive function. I would like "mark as read" added or the ability to customize which options are in the notification area.
Please do this.

THIS is the request I've been looking for! 217 votes is not that low. And I scourged the site and found it, I was just about to create yet another feature/change request for exactly this.
IMO "Swipe actions" should dictate "notification quick action" for platforms.
Or, even better, Swipe Actions are separate from Quick Notification Actions settings. I have literally never used "Archive" on an email.I hate having to tap on it, access the app, wait for it to load just to mark the e-mail as read.

There is already the "trash" button for notifications on android. Ideally there would also be a delete button. I don't understand the point of the "Archive"

I hope this will get implemented. Best case would be a customization option for three options out of Archive, Trash, Reply, Mark as read and Snooze.

I understand that Proton is privacy-first, but if you have the option to show or hide notification content on the Lock Screen, you should also have the option to mark as read/delete/quick respond. Would be amazing.

Constantly wishing I had this. So many of my emails are confirmation emails, and mark as read button would save a lot of time throughout my day rather than having to actually open the email.

That would be a real time saver!

Instead of "archive" it should be able to choose "mark as read".
I don't know how many is using the "archive" feature, but I do think that "read" would be more used. Or else make it possible to customize what you want :)
"Archive, Trash, Reply" would be great if it was "Read, Trash, Reply".
And maybe if customizable then "mark as spam (spam)" would also be a suggestion to add. -

+1, it is really annoying to have mails pile up in the notification window.

A real time saver ... you won't have to open up the app and mark the email as read or delete it.

Instead of or in addition to Move to Trash when new email received notification in app, how about Mark As Read. Most times I know what the message is without reading it but I don't want to move it to trash. I'd like to mark it as read instead.
