In the beta version you are almost there, but the messages list and edit/read views need to be given a nice useable dark mode application. :)

(this comment applies mostly for the Web UI)
As seen on the beta app, the dark theme seems coming at least for the Web UI.
However, PLEASE make it possible to keep the current theme for those whom appreciate it.I personally hugely prefer the current theme simplicity and design over the dark one. Not only for the colors, but the overall readability of the user interface (since it seems text font, icons, panels have also been modified).

Are you not using PM? It's already black and grey, how darker could it be? Wasted request, please ignore the dumb, PM.

For those of us with vision problems this would be a wonderful feature.

PLEASE add a dark theme as option. When awoke in the middle of the night and need to read email, there's nothing worse than seeing all white in the background at 4:00 in the morning.

iOS 13 will also support dark themes. Please support it there as well.

Because of a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) along with other neurological comorbidities, a dark mode is essential due to not only eyestrain, but also Acephalgic or Silent Migraine caused by excess stimulation, particularly certain frequencies of blue-light produced by fluorescent lights, older computer monitors, and LCD screens on desktops, laptops, and smartphones. Even though I wear glasses where the lenses are treated with film that helps, it is necessary for me to set my computers and phone to a darkmode. Thankfully, certain operating systems, browsers, and many apps have provided such features, but often when an app does not have that feature, the OS or browser may not be able to apply the darkmode. Therefore, switching from darkmode to a bright app can be painful at times. I urge your developers to take this into consideration for many people who silently endure similar physical and neurological conditions as well as to reduce eyestrain and many other affects from long exposure to bright screens for the general public. Be an effective change for the health of many.

Even though this would be nice but I honestly don't think this is a priority.

All apps should come with a dark mode. Everyone spends so much time looking at screens these days, we need to avoid the bright contrasts as much as possible.

This is sorely needed for the app. It’s a pain reading emails when notifications come up at night.

Yes, I would like to see this as well. Now with Mojave Dark Mode white is really bright when switching between screens.

An official dark theme is needed for both Android and WEB UI. The Android need is obvious. The current presentation is bleak. If we are talking about the ideal scenario, the color options provided by the AquaMail app would be the ideal offering, especially if PM ever progresses to allow multiple account tabs, which could then be color-coded.
For the WEB UI, the user created themes leave a lot to be desired, with plenty of areas left poorly modified by their themes. The dark theme needs to be professionally designed, to ensure all areas and texts are included correctly.

Please add dark theme. I don't want to rely on third-party code to do this.
