Proton Contacts mobile app
Hellove!
Yesterday I used Google Contacts (and/or the default Huawei contacts) app on my Android phone.
Tomorrow, I will use the secure and lovely Proton Contacts app for Android (and possibly iOS - there are probably iOS users who would want this, too).
From this Proton Contacts app, I will also be able to do my regular calls, browse call logs, see favourite contacts and groups for contacts, and utilize a search function for it all.
Please strongly consider making this tomorrow today, Proton Team <3
Thank you!

This is an essential condition if we want to get rid of Google.

This is a ‘no brainer’ - it’s surprising that it wasn’t developed ages ago!!!

Proton, Seriously. I really want this as a feature!!!
I think this should be infinitely more time sensitive for you to work on than some crypto wallet because it is the key missing puzzle piece in the proton ecosystem, the crypto wallet is not. (Not to dunk on it, looks nice)

I was just about to subscribe to Proton Unlimited but then found that Android can't see or use Proton Contacts. I can't switch to Proton until Android can use Proton Contacts as its contacts app (or at the very least Proton Contacts can be synced with the phone). Seems like this is important to a lot of people.

Contacts being buried down at the bottom of the scrollbar in iOS is extremely annoying. A separate contacts app would be ideal

I hope the Proton Team will work on a contacts app soon. As many users have said, this is the missing piece for getting Proton Unlimited.

If this feature were available, I would consider subscribing to the Unlimited plan.

Having to scroll down the sidebar on the iOS app to find the details of a contact is indeed very, very cumbersome ! Having a standalone contacts app would be ideal.

Please bring this feature!

This is soooo overdue and I don't think its as technically challenging as some of the other recent applications they have rolled out. Proton.... listen to your customers and make the contacts app a reality!

Since contacts already synchronize across devices and work pretty nice in general, wouldn't it be easy to make a barebone version with already available features, just adding a dialer and possibly making it a standalone app?
I saw a synchronization with built in contacts is planned, but sharing all contacts data with Google is something the majority of Proton users might want to avoid I guess. -

This is the last missing piece in the proton universe.

Re: Android Mobile Device / Protonmail / Contacts - (8/26/24)
1) I do not see any SEARCH ability to find a name in my contact list
2) I do not see any ability to sort my contacts by LAST NAME rather than first nameBoth are highly needed / desired! Thanks!!
My device is an Android-based "UP Phone", by Unplugged.com - a highly secure device.Thank you!

This would be a HUGE improvement; actual Protonmail allows for storing contacts but only for emails. An actual Contacts app that can replace default apps on Android/iOS would be amazing to ditch Google Contacts.

Tuta (formerly Tutanota) did it.
Why Proton can't did it yet?
