Adding IMAP/POP and SMTP support for other email providers in Proton Mail
While I understand that protons first goal is to ensure privacy and emails from other providers like outlook or gmail cannot be as private as emails that run directly through proton it is a hard truth that most of us are still forced to use gmail or outlook.
Mostly because of work, but there are surely even other reasons.
For proton to ultimately become the “main hub” I believe it should allow users to send and receive emails from other providers through SMTP and IMAP/POP
The user is responsible for this and should understand that sending emails through these accounts…

Multiple Inboxes
The only feature that keep me on gmail vs. protonmail is the multiple inbox organization (not related to different addresses - underlying for a new post). The creation of multiple inboxes is extremely powerful to implement "Getting things done"-like methodology (ex.: https://dansilvestre.com/gtd-gmail/) and improve significantly my productivity.
I am looking forward for this feature in Protonmail.4 votes -
Dynamic taskbar icon when recieve new email in desktop app
When the desktop app is minimised, I would like to see a change to the icon in the taskbar when new e-mails are received. The new mail count would be preferred but any indication of new e-mail would be better then it is currently

Access vault with hardware key OTP
Allow yubikeys OTP for instant access to account, each time it’s a new password generated by tapping or pressing the key unique to that physical key. So there’s no Authentication app or remembering passwords and imo easy but extremely secure in not the most secure

Proton Mail open full screen, and remember window size when closed. Option to minimize to taskbar instead of close. Windows.
Proton mail opens as an almost full screen. Why can't it actually open full screen. Better yet, have Proton mail remember the window size last used, and use that on next launch. There should also be an option when closing the window, to just minimize to the taskbar.

auto next message after delete
When I delete a message, I would like the next message to display automatically. I haven't found a setting for that feature yet and it would really help me speed through the junk mail I get?

Double-Click to Open Email in New Window
Hi There Team,
I have been using Microsoft Office 365, and one feature that I find particularly convenient is the ability to open an email in a new window simply by double-clicking on it. This functionality allows for a seamless and efficient email management experience. Now, as I transition to using ProtonMail webmail, I am curious to know if a similar feature can be implemented.
I want to emphasise that I enjoy using ProtonMail and, at this time, I do not wish to integrate my ProtonMail account with Microsoft Office 365. Instead, I am specifically interested in exploring the possibility…

When creating an offline email on mobile, allow to 'save as draft' 'send when online' or 'delete'
Creating a new email when offline (mobile device) can only be ended by 'Send' button. The email then is stored in the 'Draft' folder but in 'sending' mode. A user cannot alter or delete this email.
Solution idea:
When offline and creating an email, replace the send-'arrow' by a 3dot-menu with three options:
Safe in Draft
Send when online
DeleteAdditional option:
If selected 'Send', still provide the option to stop the send-process or at least make the deletion of such an email possible in the draft folder.6 votes -
Notification configuration per device
Currently we can adjust notifications per folder. That applies though to each device using this proton mail account. It would be nice to be able to configure notifications on device. This way, I can receive critical notifications in my main smartphone (like security things) and receive work related mails on my work smartphone. Same account, different behaviour.
Summarizing, I would like to have the hability to silence folders locally, not globally.
Thanks in advamce!

Snooze email keyboard shortcut
Can we please get a keyboard shortcut for the snooze option? It could default to later today or tomorrow, or open up a menu where you could select a time using arrow keys (just a thought).
I got really used to snoozing unimportant emails to deal with them later, especially when I can't decide whether it's actionable or not.

Consistent search bar
On iPhone or iPad, when you want to redirect a mail to a folder, a new window appears. However, unlike Apple mail, there is no search box.
It's tedious to scroll through all the folders until you find and select the one you want.
It would be interesting to see this search box appear in every window that opens on all proton services1 vote -
Multi-Recipient Email Forwarding with Optional Acceptance for ProtonMail Aliases
Overview:
ProtonMail's email alias feature is a powerful tool for managing multiple identities and organizing incoming emails. However, currently, the forwarding functionality is limited to a single recipient per alias. To enhance collaboration and streamline communication within teams or departments, we propose the implementation of multi-recipient email forwarding for ProtonMail aliases. Additionally, recipients should have the option to choose whether they accept receiving emails forwarded to a specific alias.
Feature Description:
This feature allows ProtonMail users, particularly those within shared vaults, to designate multiple recipients for emails forwarded to a specific alias. When an email is sent to the alias,…
