Badge notifications for custom folders
Seems iOS app currently does not support badge notifications (those little red circles on the anpp icon) for new emails in custom folders, only for messages that appear in the Inbox.
That’s a shame, because I’m missing some important emails (you can tell they are important, because I was not lazy enough to create a specific folder for them)
Is there a reason why custom folders do not trigger the badge not-read increment?Best regards,

Swipe through emails
I would like to be able to swipe through emails rather than have to return to the main page every time.
I am currently working my way though seemingly endless estate agent notification emails and even though placed in a separate folder I still lack the flexibility to easily move between emails.2 votes -
have the option to copy email and attach it to a new email
Hi,
How often you want to share a email trail as "justification" to a different recipient. You can of course "select" to content but that often goes bad on an phone, but if we would be able to "copy" an email and attach it the a new mail it would make life hugely easier for any user

custom domains disable sign in
On adding a custom domain, it is possible to sign into Proton mail using an address from the custom domain.
Anyone with the custom domain email address could try to sign in with that address, as they can work out the email service provider.
Being able to disable sign in from some/all of the custom domain addresses will help to keep the Proton account private. i.e. the custom domain is public but the proton sign in address is private (unless made public).2 votes -
Auto sync of incoming mail - optional disable, enable manual sync
Please create an option to disable "auto sync" of incoming mail, enabling the user to choose when to sync. Use case is limited data or secondary mailbox - the user can choose to sync messages when connected to wifi or at their discretion, rather than always-on real-time data.

Killer feature: EML file import to Proton Mail
Unfortunately only EML file export from Proton Mail is currently possible.
What about an EML import function? I guess this would be a desirable killer feature for many Proton Mail users and wanna-be users.2 votes -
Android push notifications direct to inbox
Could you include a link in the Android push notifications that will take you directly to the inbox, instead of individual mails?

Combine Forward and Reply in the bottom arrow icon
I don’t understand why Reply is at the top of the email but the right-arrow Forward is at the bottom. I realize there’s a context menu under the nearly invisible three dots but I’m always hitting the LARGER arrow icon on the bottom. Please make that arrow the context menu.

Bulk/offline editing of filters (custom and spam)
As an developer, I like to edit things in bulk text form. Since in my case the number of spam and allow filters reached the hundreds and there are also some custom filters, I would appreciate to edit the raw sources of the filter instead of clicking through some UI not designed for bulk editing.
Can maybe implemented as an zip to download, offline-edit the complete set of filters in the editor of one's choice, and then re-upload.
* spam/allow/block could be as simple as text or csv (although I prefer JSON/YAML)

Better workflow of running filters (filtering existing emails)
It seems that there's a (very narrow) limit of how many filtering processes can be run at the same time and with a large mailbox the filtering processes can take significant amount of time.
This doesnt affect the incoming emails, but is a huge problem when someone creates new filters to parse existing emails.
There are actually three different problems here but with a same root cause:
1. Proton doesnt allow queueing filtering processes.
2. When adding a new filter from an existing email and marking "Apply to existing emails" while another filtering process(es) is/are running, there's no warning/error message…20 votes -
Text Format Shortcuts
There are a number of suggestions for improving keyboard shortcuts in Proton Mail, but none that I have found that specifically address text formatting. In Gmail, I especially use the ones for Bold, Italic, Insert Link. Below is the complete list of formatting shortcuts from Gmail. It's a bit of a mare's nest and perhaps it would be best to provide the ability to customize shortcuts for formatting as well as navigation, labels, etc.

Store recovery email in a hashed format
Proton Mail stores recovery mail in a plain text format. Many legal requests access the recovery mail. Since privacy is by default, I don't think Proton should know my alternate email address. Recovery emails should be hashed -exactly passwords are-.

Ai filtering for emails
We already have an option for filtering, but I feel its too complex and underused. Having the option to have Ai filter emails based on your preferences (spam, school emails, promotional, and more...) to certain folders would be much better. All the while leaving the current system for people that prefer it. I see this as an absolute MUST HAVE for the future. Also this can be very key for quick summaries of each email on the notification. That way we have the jist of what we are going to open and read.
You could run the Ai on Graphics…

Android parity to iOS app
Hello!
Please speed up the development of your android application. Your iOS app has features that are not in the Android app. It just seems like a shame. Could you please speed up adding anti-tracking features (tracker blocking and picture uploads with IP hiding) to the android app as well? It would also be desirable to add the toolbar customization feature as well.Please note that all these features are already available in iOS application, while there are practically no innovations in Android application. This is just a shame and shame for such a huge company.
