Maintain Contacts in Mail Client
It would be helpful if you could maintain the contacts in the mail client. Similar to how you can maintain them in the web interface.
Now you can use and update existing contacts in the mail client, but you can't create new.

Ability to toggle background while replying
Currently it is possible, when in dark mode, to toggle an individual email to light mode this can help view certain emails. Unfortunately the same isn't true when replying to an email and it doesn't retain the setting you may have applied in the previous screen.

Support Aliases from Academic Domains such as acm.org and ieee.org
Although Proton currently has great aliasing features, academic users who have to use acm.org or ieee.org email addresses appears to be unable to configure the usage of Proton Mail successfully with those domains. We're forced to use other mail services like Google/Microsoft for such forms of aliasing.
Can the Proton team consider some form of aliasing support for these types of domains? Alternatively, if such configurations are possible, can the Proton team please share instructions on how to do so in the Support documentation?

Proton Calendar app is extremely slow
The calendar takes about 10-15 seconds to load. During that load time, it says “no events” for every day, which obviously misleads me when trying to take a quick glance at my calendar for the day.
Additionally, creating a new event is unbearably slow. When I tap the + symbol in the iOS app to create a new event, it takes about 20-30 seconds for the menu to even pop up. In the meantime, the app is just completely frozen. When it finally opens, it takes another 20-30 seconds after clicking “Save” for it to actually save. Again, the app is frozen during this time.

Show the current folder selected emails are in
When I select multiple emails, some emails might already be in a folder.
This is not shown in the Folder pull down menu. This can be done by showing these folders above or below the standard folder list.
This will safe quite some time from searching the right folder.

categorize different account mails in the proton mail
we can add upto 10 account in one proton mail account and all the mails are in one place but its hard to differentiate which mail is from which account or gmail. It'd be nice to categorize different account mails in the inbox page

Knowing which folder an email is in during a search is unclear/confusing
Knowing which folder an email is in during a search is unclear/confusing. Sometimes there is an icon next to the date of an inbox, archive, sent or trash but at other times there isn't.
It would be really nice to have emails always display quite clearly which folder they're in.

SYNC LARGE CALENDARS
I really want to sync my Proton Calendar to my Google calendar. However, when I try to set this up (i.e. copy the Google URL into Proton) I get a refused message, telling me that the file is too big. This, surely, must be pretty easy for Proton to solve. Please do so.

[Android] Lock icon in Proton Mail
I currently have the problem that I cannot see the security level of emails on Android, and I assume this also applies to iOS.
On the desktop, you can see whether an email was simply stored using zero-knowledge encryption or received encrypted using PGP (green lock). This lock symbol is completely missing on Android, which makes it difficult for me to determine how the email reached me from my communication partners.
This would be an important feature and would bring the app in line with the Windows desktop app.

Add separate button "Unread Mail" to Desktop and Mobile apps
Every time I open Proton I must click "All mail" on the left menu, locate the filter button on the right, and select the "Unread" from the filter menu. A separate button below "All mail" would be great.
Similarly, having an "Unread" toggle button next to the filter menu for each view (Inbox, folders, All mail) would also be nice.
Thanks.

Port 25
Please allow to block port 25, when I block port 25 (both in TCP & UDP, despite only TCP port 25, meaning SMTP, might matter) - ProtonMail is not working.

Paid Mail plan in Mini version
Sorry, but I don't want to pay 3.29/4.09 for email for features I don't need. There are many cheaper options on the market. I'd prefer to show support for Proton in a paid plan with minimal features, like your own domain, for an even lower price of 1 or 2 coins. It's better than the free version.

Recent Visual Changes to UI
As part of the newest update to the app for my Android device, the very first thing I noticed was the spacing. Why is this a regular issue with updates, where everything needs to be spaced out more? The issue is that users can read or see more on the screen without these changes, but once implemented we are not left with any option to compress the new or switch back to the older visualization styles. When a user is used to a specific look, and that drastically changes with the addition of inconvenient scrolling to do something that did not previously require it, it is incredibly annoying. Less is more. Let us try and vote or go back or give us options to keep similar. Please!

Disable Archive, Delete is Delete
Deleted mail now ends up in Archive which means additional effort to delete it again, Archive should be a Users choice and frankly should be considered like any other user defined folder. It's simple a place to put an email that you don't want to delete and frankly the user should create rules for what goes into folders. In a nut shell, I don't agree with the whole concept of a Mail app managing the users mail, the User should be the one controlling what happens with the mail. Anything beyond that should be a option the user must enable to use. One day finding out deleted mail is now in Archive and yet another thing to manage? Newsletter is another, now the user has to remove things that they never wanted collected. features are great if it is what the user wants, but should not be blindly enabled.

DNS More than Three
I appreciate the ability to have three domain names for email, but I would really like to see this number increased. For myself, only one more would address my personal use case, but I would expect that if you could set it at 6 or 10 it would help most users.

iOS Lock Screen: Option for Newer Reminder Banner to Replace Older Banner (for Same Event)
I often set multiple reminders for a single calendar event, and the reminder banners accumulate and don’t disappear on their own after the event is over. It gets very messy on the Lock Screen to have, for example, 5 banners for Event A (past) mixed in with 3 banners for Event B (future), and I have to manually sort through them to dismiss only the Event A banners.
I would like (1) an option for the newest Event B reminder banner to replace any older existing Event B reminder banner, and (2) an option for banners for past events to disappear on their own without manual action.
