MACOS Client: Need to be able to send links directly from SAFARI.
In order to fully utilise the MacOS Client, one needs to be able to send links from the browser, using the standard MacOS routine (CMD+L) of sharing links. This is currently a non-existing feature, and I see few if any discuss it.
(This, coupled with an actually FUNCTIONING linkage between the MacOS client and MAILTO: links in the browser, seeing as neither exists/function the client is rendered as an island that breaks user expected workflow and offers poor UX)

Remove "Get Proton Duo" Button
Proton Duo seems like an awesome feature. I am glad you notified me about its release. If I were two people, I very well might get it. I am only one person. Please allow me to remove it. 😊

Whitelist Email Address as Not-Phishing
I will get emails from known sources and they will be labeled as a "Possible phishing attempt" because they "... failed anti-phishing checks when it was received by SimpleLogin."
I would like to be able to whitelist these email addresses as you can in Gmail so that they no longer get flagged.

Allow default back navigation using mouse and keyboard
As a user, I want to be able to easily go back to previous page using the typical back button.
The back button can be on the mouse(e.g. Logi MX series) or CMD+Back Arrow on keyboard.
This behavior works fine in the browser, but does not work in the desktop app.2 votes -
Filter only selected Folders
New Filter Condition
When a customer creates or edits a filter function, s/he can select from which folders the filter should work.
In other words: apply Filter only to selected folders e.g. filter only Inbox, or custom.

Leave From Field Blank
Currently, the default email address is used to prepopulate the From field in the client. Since I communicate from various email addresses, it is now easy to forget to change that field and accidentally email a prior contact from an email they have not received before.
I propose to change that behavior to leave the From field blank, causing users to select the appropriate email address before sending it.
(Extra: if a user attempts to send an email without filling in the From field, then a popup asks us if we wish to use our default address or select a…

Show recipient E-mail in the inbox without opening the email
When having multiple e-mail addresses added to your account it is sometimes annoying to always check which email was sent to which address. When I'm working for example I only want to read the emails sent to my business account in this time and would like to see or ignore the others at this time. It would be nice to be able to see recipient for each emails in the inbox. It does not have to be default but if it could be activated on the 3 dots it would be amazing. A different idea to help out there is…

Share custom domain with free/plus accounts
I just set up a custom domain using Mail Plus, hoping that I could use the "10 email addresses" for my family. The "Black Friday" promotion did not clearly list the "1 user" limitation, and the "Duo" account costs more than twice as much as the Plus. It would be great if there was a way to share my custom domain with people using other accounts (esp. free/plus accounts). I can set up a forwarding account for them, but I would like them to be able to send mail from that account also.

Let business customers add their logo to encrypted email notifications
At the moment the default email notification that is sent to non-Proton users receiving encrypted emails has the Proton logo at the top and contains an advert for Proton which is less than ideal for business customers. Allow the ability to use your own logo and write your own message and brand the portal in which the message is read too.

I want to see the email as I am typing out a response
It just opens to a new draft window in front of the email in the inbox, and because of that, I am not able to see the email, even the first full line to respond to it. Something like two separate columns or rows, where I can scroll and see the email I am responding to, without having to close the draft window each time. At least an optoin to resize the draft window.

Viewing area for composing needs to be larger
The viewing area for composing needs to be larger. There is not enough viewing area when composing a message. Either add the ability to pop out the composer into its own window, or give the user the ability to minimize the toolbar while composing.

Extension of maximum period for self-destruction feature to more than 730 days
Currently, it is only possible to activate the self-destruction for an email message for maximum period of 730 days. However, as a business user, due to the GPDR rules I have typically longer periods after which emails should be deleted, e.g. 10 years for payment-related emails.
Therefore, it would be great to extent the maximum period to 10 years for the self-destruction feature, so I don't have to re-visit the emails manually after the time has passed and delete them manually.
Additionally, as it is the case in Microsoft Outlook web app, it would be nice to add the option…

Display Reply-To header in incoming emails
It would be nice if the mail app (I'm using the web) would show a Reply-To header when present. Or perhaps when different than the From header.
My use case is that someone sent me an email through a web site which does not expose my email unless I reply. The sender's email is in Reply-To, though the mail is from Foobar-mailer.

Request for New Features: Proton Browser and Proton Antivirus
Dear Proton Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am a proud user of your services and truly appreciate the emphasis you place on privacy and security. Your dedication to creating secure digital solutions has inspired me to share a suggestion for expanding your suite of products.
Proton Browser:
A dedicated browser with enhanced privacy features that align with Proton's principles would be a fantastic addition. Many users, including myself, seek a browser that ensures secure browsing, protects data, and blocks trackers without compromising performance.Proton Antivirus:
An antivirus solution from Proton could address the growing need for…2 votes -
Optionally hide addresses in send-from dropdown
Many addresses are used for receiving only. It would be nice to cleanup the send-from drop-down to show only the ones actually used.

Automatically load next email
In the Inbox, when deleting an email, the next email should be auto selected or highlighted so it shows the content in the right hand window instead of having to click the next email to see it's contents. It is an extra step that isn't necessary.
Most email clients like Apple mail, I already have this option.

More compact density
The current "compact" density option is not very compact when compared with Gmail's. In comparison, Proton Mail's email row height is 46px while Gmail's is 28px. And the folder/label height on proton is 36px while on Gmail it's 20px.
It would be nice if the "compact" option was closer to Gmail's density (or if there were a third option for this).

Allow scheduling of Password-Protected Emails
Unless I am missing it, it does not appear possible to schedule a password-protected email to be sent in the future. (When one of those two options is selected, the other one option disappears, and the email is immediately put into the queue for sending by the selected option.) I had assumed that both features could be applied, as with regular encrypted or unencrypted emails, and would find it tremendously helpful if they could be.

If convenient to yourself, please add ‘Schedule send’ functionality to Proton Mail. It is absent from the Android mobile application.

Ability to set default browser for links in ProtonMail
It would be great if the ProtonMail app settings included the ability to define which browser opens links contained in emails. I would like ProtonMail links to open in a browser that is different than my OS system default browser.
