  1. ProtonVPN Flatpak/AppImage for Linux distros

These days it is very common to package applications across linux distros into flatpaks or appimages. These would be easy to manage for the ProtonVPN team and provide us with a working GUI app instead of the hard to manage cli client.

  2. Firewall support within ProtonVPN

If possible, I would like for some basic Firewall settings to be built into ProtonVPN as I can't run both NetGuard (a Firewall only app that acts as a local VPN) and ProtonVPN at the same time on an un-rooted Android phone.

I am mainly looking for the ability to block certain apps from having access to WiFi / Mobile Data.

  3. A Proper ProtonVPN Linux Client With GUI

I would love to see a proper ProtonVPN Linux Client with GUI that looks similar to the Windows version and with the same features. The current Linux client does not look good and it's too much and not plain and simple like with the Windows version. Is there anyone else that are not happy with the current client and want a better one?

  4. Allow ProtonVPN to use existing LAN DNS/Custom DNS

I run my own secure DNS. I would like for ProtonVPN to offer the ability for the user to elect to use an existing DNS / Custom DNS rather than the Proton DNS server. Private Internet Access, which I no longer use since changing to ProtonVPN, began offering that recently and it works well. There may be a security risk doing that but the user should be able to specify if they still want to do it. I would use my own DNS when on my LAN, and the Proton DNS when on a different network. Thank you.

  5. Multi VPN passwords

I love your VPN, I just dislike to use the same password for my ProtonMail and use it on multiple devices, as I am a visonary member and not an organisation.

I hope you will implement this feature

    Kind regards

  6. ProtonVPN Pass-through and LAN Access

The OpenVPN app allows users to select specific apps that don't get tunneled as well as having an option to "Bypass VPN for local networks." I have several peer to peer apps that use the local network to connect to my computer.

  7. Auto ReConnect Feature for VPN.

A auto reconnect feature is needed as when the VPN gets disconnected for some reason Time Out etc. it does not reconnect automatically, it has to be done manually so this is a problem if you are away from your pc or you dont notice it.

  9. 1st party DNS server and IPv6 support for ProtonVPN

If the detailed vpn comparison chart of thatoneprivacysite.net is right (see https://thatoneprivacysite.net/vpn-comparison-chart/), you might provide 1st party DNS server and IPv6 support.

  10. ProtonVPN, add VPN traffic obfuscation, like a ScrambleSuit

As internet censorship tightens across the world, governments are becoming more and more concerned about preventing the use of VPN to circumvent their restrictions.

A new internet traffic monitoring technology known as Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) has been proven to successfully block OpenVPN traffic regardless of the port used being 80, 443 or even 53. To sum up: everyone who uses the internet needs to be aware of Deep Packet Inspection. DPI is a next-generation technology capable of inspecting every byte of every traffic packet that passes through a DPI device, that means packet headers, types of applications and actual…

  11. ProtonVPN on my home router.

Will it be possible to use ProtonVPN on my home router? I would like to protect my entire home network and not just my individual computers. Also, will ProtonVPN have DNS services available? Thank You for your time!
