Linux Client
Proton Drive really needs the ability to sync desktop files automatically. This post focuses on a Linux client for Proton Drive.

Recently been switching back and forth from a Windows laptop when away from home to my Linux desktop computer while working on multiple files. The Windows desktop app helps a lot, and now I would love not to have to sync manually from/to the web app when on Linux since it's my main environment.
Not sure I want to delve into the Rclone workaround for now. I guess an official and documented Proton support for Rclone would work for me until we get an actual desktop app.

New customer here, using mail for years but would like to add drive and vpn to the suite.
A client for Mobile, Windows and Mac only was disappointing to see. Will continue using Syncthing for now.

This is absolutely critical for Drive to be of any use to me, as it has been this long and there is still no sign of Drive for Linux I have been forced to take another route and will be using another option that does provide Linux support.

Absolutely critical - Right now Drive is useless to me. Sure, I can manually upload files from my computer, but in terms of day-to-day use, there is not point. I've been a paying customer for years, so it is frustrating that this doesn't exist for Linux.

Not being able to use Drive properly because of the absence of a Linux client is a real show stopper for me. I really can't imagine the people at Proton don't understand that:-(
Maybe it is also time to make a statement like the Linux client is coming or not to prevent people from waiting for nothing instead of getting cloud storage somewhere else where they DO have a Linux client. -

A sync client is truly the critical feature for me that will allow me to happily subscribe to a family plan.

Now that we have an email client (even if it's only Electron) adding Drive would make Proton by far the best alternative in the Linux ecosystem.

This is probably the make/break reason for subscribing to proton at all. Not supporting Linux, yet supporting the data grabbing MS and Apple seem antithetical to Proton's mission.

The best release would be as Flatpak, it is compatible with the whole linux eco system

I just placed a "critical" vote for a Linux client. It looks like we have been clamoring for this for two years now, so we shall see.
