I have completely gotten off of Windows in favor of linux, except that I still have to run a Windows VM solely for the purpose of syncing Proton Drive and exposing via SMB. This is a really clunky solution. I'm very happy with my Proton subscription, except for the lack of a linux drive client (which I need way more than a password manager or crypto wallet or doc editor).

I have decided to abandon the spyware giants, Microsoft, Google, and Apple's malignant services. I would like to have the Proton suite available for Linux, at least Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora or something. I am paying the monthly subscription. I do not mind paying $20 instead for this to be realized.

Need this so bad. I'm trying to rid myself of Google and Microsoft, but didn't realise Proton Drive wasn't supported on Linux :(

Just switched to Linux, because I'm trying to get away from Microsoft and Google. Please add Linux support. I need to sync my documents up with my remaining Windows PCs.

This has already been mentioned but I detect no progress on the matter. I use Linux Ubuntu. Proton Drive has a computer app for Windows and Mac but not for Linux (and there appears to be no work-around). This is crazy. I want to sync my files with Proton Drive, so as to have a secure, private back-up in the cloud but am unable to do so. Instead I have to manually engender a copy every month or so and then delete the old copies. Please give this serious attention

I am doing some workaround with rclone, but it's critical proton release a Linux client ASAP.

This is urgent, we need a linux alternative to Gdrive, Dropbox and others, and preferably one that works. At least in the meanwhile could you post a tutorial on how to sync files with rclone or something else ?

The inability to create and manage syncs from Linux is a real problem for me as I have just completed migrating from Windows to Linux. I wish I'd researched this issue a bit more before making the decision to purchase an Ultimate account. And no indication of when we might expect this? At least Filen provides this functionality.

I don't know if you've noticed, but this is the top one request. The only request higher than this is the Proton Docs, which is already released and so doesn't count. I really hope Proton makes a Linux Client for it.

Please, please, please, can we have a Linux app for Proton Drive? I've switched over to the entire Proton suite of apps, but I can't fully migrate my cloud storage to Proton Drive until a Linux app is available.

Linux users are used to being an afterthought and having clients that are not quite as spiffy as Mac & Windows, but we'd still really appreciate having a Drive client. Proton could release one either in the form of a .deb + .rpm, or even something more universal like Flatpack or Snap. (I'm not a big fan of either of these, but I'll take what I can get.)

We may not be as large a market segment as the two mainstream OS's but we are an engaged group of people.

It would be great to have a Linux app (can be CLI, I don't need a GUI) that syncs the drive with local storage. I'm using Dropbox now who have a Linux client, but it's proprietary so I cannot run it on Asahi Linux for instance. Or FreeBSD. Or any other open source OS for that matter. I think a great addition for a lot of your privacy-aware clientele.
