Proton Docs Improvements
The ability to have a non-pageless design, a ruler, line spacing so it can be used for academic papers (think double space, 1.15, 1.5, etc...), ability to open PDFs in Proton Docs, word count, and the paint format feature. Also, please add the ability for the mobile versions of Proton Drive to edit Proton Docs in the app or a separate Proton Doc app. I love Proton Docs though it's amazing and the UI is beautiful.

Having the option to share a link with others would be amazing. It was there a few weeks ago and now it's missing. Plus, Proton only offers Viewer and Editor roles, but not a Commenter role like Google. Adding this feature to your docs which are protected infinitely more than Google Docs, would bring so many authors to you because most of them use Google to share with their alpha and beta Readers. Plus, their editors.

I would go one further and as for the ability to request e-signatures on our docs. I would love to use this platform for all things business vs having to spread my work across multiple platforms.

I think it's important to actually clarify the intended purpose of Proton Docs. If it's a Google Docs/Word equivalent or if it's a Notion/Obsidian equivalent?
Right now it's kind of advertising it self as A and functions closer to B and serves the purposes of neither, it's mostly a novelty that I find myself disappointed with and quickly abandoning in favor of either of the other products listed.

Make in-document links to other documents in Proton Drive easier to create. Think Standard Notes or Obsidian.

You can now edit on mobile drive, looks like it just opens a browser window within the app but you don't have to login anymore and it work seamlessly

Tabs and/or auto-indent. Some of us fossils are still stuck in the neolithic habit of having the first line in a paragraph indented. Makes it easier to spot the paragraph breaks.

One feature in Docs would be a tremendous help and yet easy to implement in my opinion: search & replace instances of a text.

Minor improvement of tables in Docs would be dragging rows up or down with a mouse.

Can you add a sort of selector or type of data "Date" ? Would be really useful for time tables.

Line spacing is definitely driving me batshit at the minute. I know they'll eventually introduce it so I'll just wait.

Would be nice to see short stats about the _selected_ text somewhere in a sidebar or in the bottom 1-line bar with the number of symbols, words, special charactersVSalphabeticVSnumeric.

Can I make a link-reference on a page in the document to use it in the same document?

Can you please add a Toggle block which would fold-unfold the content just like they have it in Notion?
Also would be awesome to have something like columns for a page or other way to create flexible grid layouts. It may be super useful for formatting with some equations and images which are integrated in the text. -

I support the request by K K: feature to select the email address that appears as the author of the document, including aliases. To be used in the invitation mail and the info box. Thanks a lot.

Would be great to have a possibility to work in Docs from tablet and possibly phone (i.e. Android and iOS). Especially useful for the situations on the go, when you can't unfold the workplace with your laptop. Since the acquisition of the Standard Notes that probably shouldn't be a very big chunk of work, right?
Btw piece and love to the whole team, I love using all proton apps! -

Also, with academic paper in mind, insert latex for maths equations and so on would be great. There is an another request for that specific case here :

Please add keyboard shortcuts to move a line up or down, then I will get rid of my todo tasks app and will use the Proton Docs.
