Shared photo library
As a family, we love the Google Photos feature of having a shared photo library that syncs instantly from our Android phones. Proton Drive should implement more of these Google Photos features, but with encryption. We need this joint photo sharing feature on Android for our photo libraries. We do not want to choose albums each time again, but an automatic sync feature among partners.

This is very important for me and my partner, since this was one of our favourite feautures with Google Photo. This is the only thing holding me back from changing to Proton Drive.

This is crucial for me. I want to get away from Google Photos, but I need to be able to share photo libraries with my wife. I don’t want all her photos added to my account, but I want to be able to see her photos and copy photos of our kids over to my library.
It would be awesome to also have the feature where photos of specific people (e.g. the wife and the kids) are automatically added to my library, but that might be problematic with encrypted files?

Also, photo sharing should be with the whole family (aka more than one person). Right now google photos will only allow one partner sharing!

I can't believe this isn't possible. i'd consider it a basic requirement of any photo storage app.

I would expect this to be a feature of Proton Family. One shared family album, and provide the option to choose where to sync your camera's photos to by default, either the current personal album, or the shared family album. Bonus would be if I could select family members to share the family photos with, so share with my wife, but not with the kids.

Yes please! Either create a better photos integration (as described in the idea), or a separate Proton Photos app. Highly appreciated if you can make this happen!

Yes, I am testdriving Proton Drive at 200Gb. Would be great if both my phones could upload photo's (and retain their album structure as well) . In that way keeping photo's from both phones apart. (like the other Drive files on both of my laptops)

This would be sooo great.
It would go together great with: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/50415627-allow-proton-business-admins-to-jointly-manage-f
Your suggestion is for family use, the linked one is for business use. But both elevate a direct-share possibility.

Yes this, and WITH the ability for a slideshow! So you can share albums with family, and they can pop it up on a big screen TV or their desktop or something and run a slideshow for everyone to see.

To share a link to a folder for anyone to view is also critical for me!!

Same as other comments. I need this feature to share photos with my family and friends, Proton or non-Proton users

Same as others below - being able to share a link to a folder for anyone to view is critical for me. Currently the way I share photos is selecting a bunch of photos and sharing via iCloud link. I don’t use social media so this is my only way.

Having the ability to share photo albums with a link to non Proton users is a must for a complete transition from Google Photos. This is very important to me.

We want to ditch Google but this missing feature is preventing us!
Specifically the feature, when enabled, is that all photos are shared between family members of an account, allowing family members to immediately see new photos as they are backed up.

How can it be thinkable that such a basic function for a photo library is not included by default?? The first reason for creating a photo library is to share it.
