Better search features are important. Happy to manually tag if needed but to search on some of the photos meta data would be good if not full facial recognition.

I agree, we are spoiled by the Google features but we know we are also unwittingly training their facial recognition technologies. The Proton features are a little basic but but solid but it would be great if I could transfer photos directly from the phone (i.e. when I get something in Signal I want to keep). It would also be good if some basic attribute based search could be included. The best would be if there is a Proton based scan that finds certain things and people but that may be too resource intensive or difficult to do without compromising personal security. You are there experts here. But even if I could search by location and manually tag a few pictures that would help.

Yes, Google has made me lazy so a transfer of flight or train details from email to calendar would be a great feature. It also means if there are changes it maintains itself automatically. Please please please add this feature :))
