Sheets Cells Randomly Lose Format

When I have a cell formatted, for time duration for instance, if I change something in a linked cell, the formatted cell will revert to a decimal number and I need to go back a reformat for the time duration to show hh:mm. Can this be addressed in the next few months? Thanks!

    I just finished building an important template and keep stumbling over the same issue.

    - Cells lose format, seemingly at random
    - Formatting does not apply evenly across all selected cells
    - pasted values do not align with cell formatting evenly

    This kills proton sheets for me, unfortunately. This is a basic functionality, how come
    this is not raised more prominently?

    This happens to me all the time. I have a cell formatted for my local currency and it loses the number formatting when I edit the value in the cell.
