Drive Linux
Please please release a linux sync client. I am a paying user and this entire feature is almost completely unusable for me. Please remind yourself where you come from and release also features for the community that supports you from the early proton times!

Same here, I would like a proton drive for linux general , ( I am linux mint too xfce desktop) If you do that will be ahead from the competition. There is no other platform that has it, only dropbox.

Linux support would convert me from a competitor's user to a loyal Proton Drive customer. In a heartbeat

100% Agree with everyone here. I am currently on the Duo Plan and have been a Proton customer going on 5 years now.
I am now actively looking at alternatives for Proton services when my subscription comes up for renewal next year as I was expecting Proton to be better than Big Tech.
Proton is releasing unfinished products faster than Google these days, without ever completing the functionality of their existing products.
Essentially zero Linux support and the Proprietary file formats for Docs and Sheets is a huge red flag for me too.
They are going down the road of Vendor lock-in that is all too familiar and I think I need to get out before it is a huge mission to move elsewhere.
I moved to Filen recently and deleted everything from Proton Drive and have been really happy with the Linux and Mobile Clients thus far.
I hope Proton has a long hard look at their direction and course-corrects soon or I think I am out sadly.

SDK release (https://github.com/ProtonDriveApps/sdk) & rclone support should be priority number one. If I don't have something equivalent to Pcloud AppImage / Infomaniak Kdrive I'll not reniew.I'm fed-up waiting for something basic.

Agreed, I need this as well! I've abandoned Windows and need a Linux solution.

Bonjour, je suis d'accord avec vous. Je viens de passer de Windows à Linux et pas de solution sauf à aller ailleurs. A quand une version pour Linux ?

This is the only obstacle why I didn't migrate to proton since so many years.
Hey guys! You are talking about security and privacy, but the only operating system providing it is linux.
Wake up! Please! -

Glad to see that I'm not the only one having this thought. Paid for the unlimited plan too soon. Won't renew my subscription if I can't (in a user friendly way) back up files on Linux Mint.

I really thought this was the time to switch to Linux the way big tech companies have been exploiting our dependency on them. Proton drive not being supported on Linux is a major friction in my move away from microsoft, google and apple.

Proton wants to be a privacy based alternative to big tech giants but doesn't support the privacy based alternative OS???

Dear Proton,
After decades of discontent with Microsoft Windows, in January of this year I finally switched to Linux (Mint). I was however very surprised and disappointed to learn that Proton Drive does not work with Linux. I would appreciate it very much if you would work on this. Thank you. -

As a Proton Family subscriber for many years I was always under the impression that Linux would be a priority for a privacy first company.
For my non technical family members and friends that I have recommended Proton in Linux to, I have sometimes employed workarounds like rclone/ celeste, because I thought that a full Linux client was very soon on it's way. I can not tell you how much pain this has caused.
Personally, I do not use Proton Drive at all, due to lacking Linux support; which means that Proton Drive does not add and value to my subscription, which makes it harder to justify.

I've gone "all in" with Ubuntu and the Proton Suite. I find Proton Mail and Pass for Linux just as good as what I used in Win10. VPN could use some polish. I am glad to have it though.
