   Please add the finctions IMPORTHTML, IMPORTXML that exist in google sheets. It would be really useful for automating statistics and lists on how much things cost. (I want to use it to make an automatic grocery lsit with costs)

2. Better photo management

   It would be great to have another layer of privacy for the 'photos' tab. When I go to the 'photos' tab, all my pictures are out in the open. Anyone behind me can easily see them. The album section is the same because it shows a thumbnail. It would be good if we could:
   1. create private folders to store photos in or make certain photos private
   2. add an additional layer before looking at pictures. (like 'My files' - you can create a folder before seeing your files)
   3. a way to activate/deactivate the picture preview

3. Proton Sheets - Remove label padding

   Currently the tab labels add a lot of padding so that for example the labels A, B, C, D, ... are spread across the screen and you must scroll left/right if you have a lot of tabs. I would prefer it to be like Excel where you can make very small tabs by using short labels.

4. File history should show previous file names after renaming

   When I open file history, I can’t see previous file names.

   For example: yesterday a file was named “Document X”. Today I accidentally renamed it to “Document Y”. In file history, this rename is not reflected at all — I only see the current name.

   This is a serious problem. I accidentally mixed up documents, edited one, then renamed it. Now I can’t tell which part of a case this file originally belonged to, because the old name is completely lost in history.

   Please include previous file names in file history. Rename events are just as important as content changes, especially when working with many similar documents.

5. Different storage options

   We need higher and smaller storage options. If I need to buy 1TB storage, I should able to buy it without buying Duo plan. And also we need smaller plans. Some people need less storage than 500GB. So, there should be a plan which has 100GB storage.

6. Add ability to free up space by deleting backed up photos from device

   The Android app (and iOS, too, probably) already has the ability to back up photos to Proton Drive. What would be really helpful, and for feature parity with Google Photos, is a "Free up space" option that would simple delete photos from the device that have already been backed up to Proton Drive. You could do Google Photos one better by having an option to do that on-the-fly, as well, instead of it being a manual process.

7. Add download permission and update already existing permission

   1. You could add a download permission as a slider, the same way as there is a parameter for a link duration or password. If you revoke the permission for download the file cannot be download. If you assign it, it can be download. It could be shown only when selecting edit permission. Then Upload only and Upload and download can be merged into Upload and view and Only upload and the download permission can be toggleable.

   All permissions should be clearly explained with info icons next to what they grant. I didn't know that edit permission for folders lets you to upload files until I found the suggestion above and the admin's comment. For example edit permission for videos doesn't give any difference from view only.

9. Improvement in Proton docs and version history

   I love how Proton Docs automatically keeps a version history of every change we make to a document. It would be great to give users the option to set the time interval for creating new versions for example, after each edit, after 1 minute, after 2 minutes, and so on.

   Currently, when I start a new document, each word I type generates a separate version. This quickly becomes overwhelming, making it hard to scroll back to a useful point in the history. While frequent versioning makes sense during focused editing such as correcting a document someone else sent or making deliberate revisions, it feels unnecessary while I’m simply typing.

   Therefore, it would be helpful if the software could aggregate rapid, continuous typing into a single version, while still preserving smaller, intentional edits as individual versions. In other words, the system should detect when I’m typing a lot and bundle those changes together, yet keep distinct versions for deliberate edits.

10. Vertical Split Pane in Mail

    A nice-to-have preference for later in development - please allow split panes in Proton Mail to show the mail at the top, the inbox below. Side-by-side split panes just don't work for me 😅 Thanks!

11. Add support for exFAT filesystem

    Proton Drive appears to only support NTFS, APFS. Incredibly frustrating to learn that the drive I'd like to use for backups isn't compatible with the service I've paid for due to the filesystem not being supported; exFAT is a fairly common cross-platform filesystem for external drives and is super useful for those going between operating systems and devices.

12. Storage Options - with connecting Directly to NAS Securely

    I know now a days Drives and such are expensive and Knowing that so many people are using Proton Services are waiting for more Storage Options. and i don't blame proton AG to limit us of having to much storage its expensive while u have so many people using proton alone and the data that is accumulated over time.

    Option - 1: Creating Virtual Connection to NAS setup and displaying it onto the Proton Drive web UI.

                                - It would be nice to at least see pictures and files mirrored from a NAS to proton Drive rather login into and exposing our NAS over the internet when traveling - now that could be using a secure connection to proton but have a pin or something to login for extra security.
    

    Option - 2: with option 1. Having a copy of the file structure that is on the NAS that has the same layout of whats in Proton Drive - Vise-Versa

                    - also with that having whole NAS Directory like the label "for example: on the web UI Labeled Computers - DIrectory", " - Labeled Photo - Directory and so on. I know that first of all Linux got to Support the Proton Drive - which i have put out there on my wall of ideas

13. Proton Docs: Integrate Lumo + Increase Docs file size!

    • It would be nice to ask Lumo while working inside Docs to run spellchecks or change the tone of your text etc.

    • i was working on a document that has alot of images, and suddenly i get an error that the file was getting too large and i couldnt edit anymore.
      It seems that Proton Docs has a limit per document of 25mb, seems a bit low compared to competitors? Now i have to split this thing up in multiple parts.
      I dont understand why there would be a size limit when Word is practically unlimited, especially for paying users.

14. All uploads of any kind should by accessible in My files

    The way proton drive fractions everything into incompatible storage areas makes no sense. I just need a folder to store my files, synced across all devices. Depending on how I try to add files they go to:

    • a photos bucket that isn't in "My files"
    • a "My computer" section that seems to also not be in "My files" (and seems to split things out by device)
    • ??? if I try to drag and drop them between two file explorer windows on the local machine
    • "My files" if I open the web application and drag them in there (abandoning the Proton Drive application entirely)

    Just make a folder, a simple folder. Your photo backups go there in a subfolder (OneDrive uses Camera Roll, but even allows you to specify the path), your device backups go in sub-folders if you specify that for machine specific backups. Otherwise stuff that you put in there is in there...where you put it. Simple. You don't even need a "My files" folder at all, just mount them directly in your specified path for Proton Drive.

15. Bug report to Proton Support: A shared Proton Doc with view-only permissions displays a blank page

    There's a bug in Proton Docs: sharing a Proton Doc with view-only permissions between Proton IDs (direct email invitation, NOT via public link) shows a blank page to the recipient. The only way to view the document is to open its history. This affects both free and paid Proton accounts equally.

    Additional Details:

    Browsers tested: Firefox, Vivaldi, Edge, Chrome, Mulvard — same blank page result in all
    Accounts tested: Multiple Proton accounts (3+ different sender and recipient accounts) — consistent issue
    Reproduction steps: Switching sharing permissions from Editor to Viewer in all instances produces the same result
    Mobile (Android): Same blank page issue occurs on mobile
    Critical finding: On mobile, when opening File Details for a document shared with view-only permissions, it still displays 'Permission: Editor' instead of 'Permission: Viewer' — suggesting the permission change may not be properly applied or recorded

    Workaround: Opening the document history allows viewing the content despite the blank page issue.

16. Extend App compatibility to older Operation Systems

    It would be great if you extend the Proton Drive compatibility to older systems (like OSX 12 Monterey). I don't think it would need a significant amount of work and would benefit plenty of people (me included).

17. "recent" files in Drive so I can access files faster than clicking through my library to get to each individual file

    I just tried Docs für the first time and the first thing that springs to my eye is the font size showing "px" as measurement. Being curious about this I downloaded a test doc as .docs and opened it in Word, which showed the correct size in points (e.g. 16px -> 12pt).
    While I am happy that the measurement unit is no mistake and is converted correctly, I still wonder why Proton chose to go with px instead of pt while still offering the same sizes as other text editors, just using px as unit.

    While the average user might not care I do think this could lead to some confusion on why shared documents show unexpected font sizes in other editors if you don't know the difference.

    Diverting from an accepted standard is ok, but in my opinion it should be noted somewhere or possible to change to the "standard" unit.

20. Allow the ability to download multiple files without having them bundled inside of a .zip file from the web interface.

    As it stands, on the web interface, if you select multiple files to download within a folder, they automatically get bundled into a large .zip file.

    It would be nice to have an option to instead have the files queued up to be downloaded separately.

    I'm aware you can individually click download on each file, but I'd like to be able to use the checkbox to select all files in a folder and queue them up as separate downloads.
