Proton Sheets - Allow Charts to be moved to different sheets
I would really like charts to be able to be moved/pasted to different sheets. There are extremely limited cases where I would want my charts on the same sheet the data is stored on, so this is severely limiting their usability for me.

"recent" files in Drive so I can access files faster than clicking through my library to get to each individual file
In the subject above--this might be able to be an option in that dropdown menu on the left side of the screen that currently just mirrors file paths.

Synchronization with multiple PCs
I always have the same folder on my PCs for the data I need, and I'd like to synchronize this folder. Unfortunately, this isn't possible with Proton Drive. When setting up Proton Drive on my second PC, I keep getting the message "Invalid synchronization folder; the folder must be empty before setting up synchronization."
This is a significant limitation that's only acceptable with free, open-source drives.

Enable 'rclone' to give you access to the Proton Drive as part of the Mac file system, or produce a Terminal app yourselves.
I've used the command-line program 'rclone' to show my Proton Drive as part of my Mac file system, so I can backup files from a Terminal. It's dead slow, but it worked. Then, two days ago, I ran
rclone mount proton: ~/ProtonDrive \
--vfs-cache-mode writes \
--tpslimit 0.3 \
--transfers 1 \
--checkers 1 \
--low-level-retries 1 \
--timeout 10s \
--daemon --protondrive-replace-existing-draft=true
and it said
"CRITICAL: Failed to create file system for "proton:": couldn't initialize a new proton drive instance: 422 POST https://mail.proton.me/api/auth/v4: We are detecting potentially abusive traffic coming from your network and have temporarily blocked logins. If…7 votes -
Add Spreadsheet‑Style Font Options to the Text Document Editor
Proposal:
When creating or editing a text document in Proton Drive, users currently have a limited set of typefaces compared with the richer font selection available in the new spreadsheet editor. To provide a more consistent and flexible writing experience across the suite, we propose extending the text‑document editor to include all the fonts that are now supported in the spreadsheet module (e.g., Calibri, Cambria, Arial Unicode, etc.).Benefits:
…Unified Design Language – Users can maintain visual consistency when embedding tables, charts, or excerpts copied from spreadsheets into documents. Improved Productivity – Reduces the need to switch between applications or manually adjust6 votes -
Proton Sheets - Cell Auto-Complete
In Excel / Google Sheets, when you start typing a value in a cell that exists in the same column, you can see the suggested auto-complete option to match a previous entry, saving time having to write out a duplicate value when you've begun typing it.
Proton Sheets doesn't have this currently, would be worth entering.

Fix the Photos Sort Order Bug
(NB Photos in browser: android app seems to sort properly.)
I have many photos, mainly jpegs, that pre-date the digital revolution. I have scanned/re-photographed these old photos either from negative or print and have fixed up the "date taken" to correspond with when the original photo was taken. For people with full family collections this is probably not unusual.
I am trying my best to migrate my photo library to Proton, but the its the little things that are annoying: the main photos sort by reverse date taken, UNTIL you get to about 1970 (I have tested this) - older…

Allow renaming files within MS Word
Something changed in the background and I'm no longer able to rename a file from inside MS Word for files that are stored locally (or online) on my Proton Drive. There is something wrong with permission structures between Microsoft and Proton Drive.

CLI - Authentication with no user interaction
Currently, before running any CLI commands one needs to manually authenticate on the browser -- which pretty much kills any chance of meaningful automation.
One (surely very sensible and common) use case is adding a full back up to one's shutdown routine. This cannot be done if it requires manual authentication because the user will fire the command and leave the computer, so he will not be able to authenticate. Placing the authentication in the beginning of the script only works if the script does not need to first add/remove/modify the files that will be backed up. Moreover, the token…

Easy-to-share links for shared folders and files (URL shortener)
It would be great to have an optional feature that generates short, easy-to-share links for shared folders and files. For example: pm.me/share/<share_id>. This would make sharing simpler across emails, chats, and mobile devices, while still keeping the full URL available for those who prefer it.

Proton Drive’s session management - Persistent login session
Hi Proton Team and Community,
I would like to raise a security-related suggestion regarding Proton Drive’s session management.
Currently, Proton Drive maintains a persistent login session, which is convenient from a usability standpoint. However, in certain scenarios, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential documents, this behavior can pose a security risk.
Unlike tools such as Cryptomator, which require authentication (e.g., PIN or password) every time the application is accessed, Proton Drive does not currently offer an option for an additional local authentication layer or automatic lock on device access.
You guys already do this with proton pass.

Tables on iOS are excessively narrow
Tables that look fine on other devices are shrunk to an excessively small width on iOS devices in the Proton Drive app as well as in the Browser (tested with Safari and Firefox). In a two-column table, the width is so small that line breaks are added even for short words.

Double-click to open a shared Proton Doc
Opening a shared Proton Doc – In the web UI (https://drive.proton.me), locate the shared document, double‑click the title or the blue Doc icon (or select the file and press Enter/right‑click → “Open in Docs”). This opens the file directly in the Proton Docs viewer. The three‑dot menu only offers download, details, copy, or remove; it does not contain the “open” command. Adding this step‑by‑step tip will help free‑account users who see only the three‑dot menu and prevent confusion.

Photos
I'd like the Photos tab in the app to work like OneDrive's, with every photo in the cloud appearing in that tab without having to do anything, not just the ones uploaded directly as they are now.
I'd also like the automatically uploaded image files to be in a folder in the cloud where I could locate them and move them to the folder I want to organize them in, but with them still appearing in the Photos tab even if I move them, and on all devices.

In iOS Proton Drive app, allow to upload more thant 10 photos at once
I use the feature professionnally a lot, always for more than 10 photos, and every time have to repeat the operation multiple times so I can upload everything that I need to. This limitation is extremely frustrating.

Larger folder limits
I have several folders (associated with an application) that are syncing (or rather, failing to sync) through Proton Drive. The error message in the Drive Windows app is "Folder limit reached. To continue adding more files, create a subfolder.". I don't know how many files are in the folder, what the "limit" is, or even whether the limit is based on number of files or space occupied by the files. I don't have any control of how many files the app puts in its folders or what size they are - but I do need to sync the files between…

Hide identity of uploader
Currently, a publicly shared folder in proton drive shows the address of whomever uploaded it, and this address cannot be changed to a different one than that originally tied to your account as far as I can tell.
This can be gotten around by uploading from a private window with no login, however it would be nice if it was simply an option to change or hide the identifier, at least for those who the folder is shared to or used a public share link.
