Integrate folder sharing with Proton Contacts on mobile
Current Behavior: When sharing folders or albums in Proton Drive with family members, I must manually type each email address. There's no integration with Proton Contacts, making the sharing process time-consuming and prone to errors.
Would be great to have more seamless integration between Proton Contacts and Proton Drive that would:
- Allow users to select contacts directly from their address book when sharing
- Support autocomplete functionality as users begin typing names
Even more, if Contacts would support contact groups, sharing to family members as a single group.

Im Falle des Ablebens eines Proton Account Holders sollte eine (oder mehrere) Personen angegeben werden können, die nach Identity Check auf die Unterlagen zugreifen können und in einem vordefinierten Zeitraum die Daten retten können, bevor der Account gelöscht wird.

Notify documents in Drive
When a document is added to an already shared folder, it would be preferred if the creator can notify others that the document is there. Now others can only be notified by explicitly sharing the single document, which creates a new shared link. Maintaining these links becomes a hassle.

Shortcut to move a bullet point up or down in Proton Docs
It would be nice to have a shortcut to move a bullet point up or down in Proton Docs. Similarly to the shortcuts in WPS Office on macOS. With Options+Shift+Up Arrow you can move a bullet point up and with Options+Shift+Down Arrow you can move a bullet point down. I think there is a similar shortcut in Microsoft Word.

Manage internal files/folders
On the Mobile versions it would be really helpful to be able to manage internal files and remove the need for a file manager app such as "Files By Google" on our devices. Allowing us the usual functionality of a file manager, it could also allow for easier batch uploading to the cloud.
It would make it easier to organise our devices files, be able to upload them to the cloud and remove them from device storage all in a single app.

Download progress and cancelation
Hi.
Can we have some notification for downloading files on mobile app (android)?
Like in status bar to see how much is already done and also option to cancel download.Recently i try to get file from drive and it was over 500mb. I get note "download started" in app but i had no idea how fast or how it progress. After few minutes i still had no file in phone and every time i open app it say "download started". Cant even cancel it and had to force quit app.

Zoom alternative add on for artistically inclined?
This may be a bit much for the free tier Proton servers, but here's a 2-part pitch:
(1) functional Zoom alternative
(2) Maybe a feature of said alternative or another feature entirely for a "shared canvas" "chat room" type thing? I've heard about multiple people meeting up online in a kinda Zoom-ish meeting/chat room where they have a canvas that they can create art with and write messages - and option for mic to be muted or on was available. Not sure if it's an app or a website or what, but it seemed really cool and wondered if there…

Sheets cell indenting
After using both Excel and Google sheets for years, the only feature I frequently miss in later is the ability to indent cells. This is very useful way to make clearly separate different level (Country, state, city) by just using column A instead of having to split them to multiple columns. This is especially in cases where the "upper level" is just sum of the lower levels (like in accounting reports).

Folder tree should autoexpand during navigation
Similar to File Explorer on Windows, there's a setting called 'Autoexpand to folder'. When clicking a folder on the main area of File Explorer, the tree view on left panel autoexpand to that folder.
Proton Drive is better with such feature. Currently, when double-clicking a folder on the main area, the folder tree on the left doesn't change, and sometimes it's deeply nested inside, thus clicking the tree to browse to current folder is slow.

LAN Sync
Allow devices on the same LAN that have files already downloaded to sync the data between them rather than going through the servers to improve syncing speed.
This is especially important because:
a) Syncing speed is very slow (as mentioned elsewhere) because it doesn't pipeline well for many small files.
b) If I change my password I have to re-sync EVERYTHING. I'd be happy if that changes too, because it's pretty crazy to re-download 100s of GB just because of a password change. But if that isn't possible for the security reasons then at least the sync speed should be…2 votes -
Import files and folder structures from Notion into drive in Proton docs format
It would be very nice if I could import my whole Notion documents/structure into drive, so I could use proton docs as a notion replacement.
I find the proton docs editor already very similar to the functionality of the notion editor (60% ?). I guess there are still several formatting options missing, but proton docs is already pretty similar, so i am asking for the notion import option.Maybe you could use some open source code from anytype, which is pretty close to notion, too.

Proton Drive Integration with Android Default Storage
I haven't yet found a way to set Proton Drive as a default storage location on Android within the "My Files" functionality which drives selectable save options for most file save actions. Obviously, Google Drive is available along with MS OneDrive, internal storage, SD storage and network storage. Having Proton Drive set here would make file management much easier on Android mobile.

Edit file metadata (including photos)
Don't need much. Currently, the Photos portion of Drive doesn't have any capability beyond view photo.
I would like to be able to upload lots of photos and re-arrange them/fix metadata issues.
Primarily, Windows has taken some of my old photos I've edited/restored and made the Date Modified to today's date, when the photo date taken was 1965. But when I upload to Photos, it appears as today's date.
I should be able to easily go in and correct these mistakes.

Exclude folders/files
Thank you for the desktop application, it was necessary and I am very satisfied, excellent job. On the other hand, it would be very useful to have the ability to exclude files/folders, either by selecting them or using a regular expression. For example, excluding folders like 'node_modules'.

Templates structure in Proton docs
I need to create the same page structure in proton docs multiple times to ensure that i am not missing any element in my report writing.
It will be extremely productive, if a template could be saved for such requirement and then i just click that template and save my 7 to 9 clicks including the font and the size specifications.8 votes
