1. Sheets - CTRL+K to insert link

   CTRL+K should function exactly the same as the "Insert link" button in the toolbar.
   This is faster than clicking a button, especially with a screen size where the "Insert link" button is hidden in the dropdown menu.

2. Connecting Proton Drive and OnlyOffice

   I want to be able to connect my OnlyOffice to Proton Drive. Proton Drive is missing in the connect-options, where it is possible to connect to Nextcloud, Dropbox, OneDrive and even kDrive.

3. Option to make drive folders (containing photos) visible in the photos album section

   While there are many similar tickets regarding this topic, i just wanted to add my specific request, ignoring the often posed usefulness question of treating the photos section completely separate to the overall file section.

   With this current structure in place, I would love to have the option to mark whole folders in "files", making them visible in the Photos Album section. In my case, I store my Photo backups in Proton Drive, organized by a certain folder structure. (mostly organized by year/location/event) While i don't want to clutter my photo album section with all these photos stored in Files, it would be great to make certain event folders visible there. (especially since file folders can't be viewed in the same way photo albums can, an option which, while not ideal, would at least ease my pain in regard to viewing photos in my proton drive file section)

4. Support "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS) / Private Storage Nodes

   Dear Proton Community and Development Team,

   We, the undersigned, propose the introduction of a "Screwdriver Tier" that allows users to leverage Proton's world-class encryption and UI while hosting the physical data on their own hardware. This "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS) model would transform Proton into a secure bridge for private infrastructure.

   1) The "Screwdriver" (Self-Hosted) Tier:

   Private Storage Nodes: Allow users to connect local NAS (Network Attached Storage), home servers, or massive external drives to the Proton Drive ecosystem via an encrypted tunnel.

   Proton as the Interface: Use the official Proton Drive web and mobile apps to browse, share, and manage files that are physically stored in the user's living room rather than the Swiss bunker.

   Zero-Knowledge Tunneling: Proton manages the "handshake" and the encryption keys, ensuring the data is never unencrypted on the public web, but the "bucket" remains the user's property.

   2) The Hybrid Business Model:

   Software Subscription Fee: Users pay a flat monthly fee for access to the Proton "Guard" (the encryption software, the secure tunnel, and the UI) without needing to rent massive amounts of server space.

   Infinite Scalability: The storage limit is defined by the user's hardware. If I plug in a 20TB drive, my Proton Drive reflects 20TB of space.

   Justification & Benefits:

   Market Pioneer: Proton would be the first major privacy company to offer a seamless bridge between "Self-Hosting" (which is currently too complex for most) and "Cloud Privacy" (which is currently too expensive for mass storage).

   Reduced Overhead: Proton significantly lowers its electricity and server maintenance costs in the K7 bunker while maintaining a steady, high-margin revenue stream from software subscriptions.

   True Sovereignty: This perfectly aligns with Proton’s mission of digital freedom, allowing users to own their keys AND their "granite."

5. Show thumbnails for offloaded image and video files on Windows

   Currently when files are offloaded on Windows, there's no image or video thumbnails generated, so you either need to use the web app, or need to re-download entire folders of files back to the PC just to be able to find a specific file.

   It would be much better if these worked like OneDrive and iCloud Photos where the files are stored online-only but are still able to generate local thumbnails for quick and convenient browsing.

   Ideally this should also support modern image and video formats (AVIF/AV1, HEIF/HEVC, WEBP etc) as well as just the basic JPG and PNGs as well.

   Home Assistant is probably the most widely used home automation system, with millions of users worldwide.
   Make Proton Drive available on the following page: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/#backup
   This would not only be very helpful for a large number of users, but also great advertising for Proton.

7. Allow Photos in Proton Drive to have their date overwritten

   Reason for this is Proton Drive sometimes gets the dates wrong from correctly dated photos. If like in google photos, we can overwrite the date if can fix the sorting of your images

8. Proton Drive Upload files while in background

   Proton Drive needs to be able to upload files in the background. When I send large number of files to proton drive to upload, I can't dedicate the use of my phone to proton drive. kind of defeats the purpose of a multi-tasking operating system. Frankly, this worked before the first of the year, so I don't know what took a step back proton drive or IOS26. Which ever it is, please get this feature implemented.

9. Locking files / Hiding files on Proton Drive

   I would like Proton Drive to support client-side locked folders that require a secondary authentication step (such as password re-entry, hardware key confirmation, or biometric verification) before file is decrypted when signed in.

   This would prevent opportunities for opportunistic individuals to get access to the most sensitive files someone has when their proton drive session is opened.

11. Proton Docs accessibility (alt text for images)

    We have to be able to add alt text to images in Proton Docs
    While working on the accessibility of a document, I was not able to add alt text to images. This is a basic accessibility feature, and is in WCAG 2.2, 1.1.1 Non-text content (https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/#non-text-content). There is no good reason to exclude this feature. It would only lead to less accessibility for people with disabilities.

13. Notes Standard available from within Proton Drive and option within Standard Notes to save to your Proton Drive

    I am just now starting to use Standard Notes which was brought to my attention at Proton site, I would like to be able to have the option to save directly to my Proton Drive Files and be able to access Standard Notes from within my Proton Services when I'm using them.

14. Add photos to an album by going to a different album and adding it from there

    When I go to add photos to an album, it brings be to all of my photos. It would be helpful if I had the option to navigate to existing albums to add photos from there. Or, if in the album options, to be able to select and "move to" or "copy to" a different album.

15. Notifications for Changes to Shared Folder

    I would love to have notifications (email preferably) when someone outside my organization accesses a shared folder - either to upload files, change/edit files, or download files. It is useful when i am waiting for a client to upload files and I don't have to keep checking the folder.

16. Basic and Advanced Word Processing Functionality, rulers, formatting, menu bar, etc.

    The word processor is a cornerstone to any productivity or office suite of apps. Please add basic features like rulers, standardized consistent tab settings, paragraph/line spacing/other formatting features, ability to visualize formatting characters (eg: paragraph, indent, etc...) menu bar with functions that have been around for decades, etc.. Just look at Word Processor functions that have been around for decades and implement them in a standardized yet functionally designed way. (do not copy google docs, that is a horrible example)

    This is a place Proton can excel and even take over market share as a collaborative document app because Google docs is such a weak app lacking basic features. The UI can be designed in a way not to overwhelm basic users yet allow knowledgeable users to make use of important basic word processing tools.

17. Show folder size.

    It is basically useless when you are informed that your drive is reaching its limit and you can not ascertain which folder/s are using the most 'space'.

    The only way to find out what's "hogging up" drive space is to have to individually drill down into each folder and see what size the files are.

    Extremely and utterly frustrating, especially when you have tens/hundreds of folders, and in this day and age of 'internet functionality' it's like stepping back into the 80's as the only way to find out what's using up space is to check each file.

    Frustrated.

    Hi,
    I would love to be able to download a folder from Drive to my internal storage. Currently I can only download files and new to recreate the folders if needed.
    This clutters my download folder and I can't find stuff.
