  1. Lumo variations

I would like Lumo to have a possibility to choose cat from few possible themed variations, for example associated with seasons, birthdays, feasts, etc.

  2. Voice typing in Ubuntu Linux and/or Firefox

It would be great to have at least a web-based voice typing for Lumo on Firefox for those who, like me, are using Linux OS's. I'm on Ubuntu but am forced to another IA b/c of the lack of voice typing on LUMO. 😭

  3. public URL parameter that pre‑loads a specific prompt

It would be nice to have a public URL parameter that pre‑loads a specific prompt, such as https://lumo.proton.me&q=my_specific_prompt because this would make it possible to define "search"-shortcuts in Browsers or for example in krunner under Linux to open Lumo directly with a starting-prompt.

  4. Add models for creative writing

None of the models Lumo uses are very good at creative writing. Please add a model that can provide helpful writing critiques, ideas, etc., for creative uses such as storytelling, poetry, songwriting, and creative non-fiction.

  5. Catnip mode: an expert mode for advanced users (ie ‘go crazy’ basically)

I know I’m missing other features and whatnot, but hopefully this idea is somewhat helpful.

So…catnip mode. When toggled on (default off) in a new Developer Settings menu, this mode will unlock additional parameters:

    Catnip/developer setting panel:
    - Toggle proton system prompt instructions off (default on), allowing a custom instruction set (open weights by design have native guardrails as is, reduce overhead)
    - Ideally, the developer setting should allow us to see the system prompt that Proton uses (increase transparency)

    Lumo chat area:
    - Ability to explicitly select models
    - Brief description of model, recommended use when hovering over model…

  7. Restrict set of characters in output code blocks to ASCII in Lumo

Automatically restrict or give me a setting to restrict Lumo's set of characters in code blocks to the ASCII character set. In some of my ongoing conversations it has the habit of occasionally inserting:

    • (U+2011 NON-BREAKING-MINUS) instead of - (U+002D HYPHEN-MINUS)
    • (U+2026 HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS) instead of ... (3 separate U+002E FULL STOP characters)

  10. Integrate Lumo into Git repositories

I'd love to use Lumo with a Git repository. This would most likely imply a GitHub-like service that has Lumo integrated. But just understanding '.git/' - folders would do the trick just fine as well.

  11. Android Intent Support or API for a Reading App Integration

    Dear Lumo Team,
I'm the developer of @Voice Aloud Reader, a popular Android ebook/document reader app. I'm interested in integrating AI-powered book summarization features that respect user privacy - which makes Lumo an ideal solution.

Current Approach & Results: I've tested Lumo with book chapters (up to 100KB text) by manually copying/pasting content. The summarization quality and literary analysis are excellent - exactly what my users need for "remind me what happened" scenarios when returning to books after breaks, having questions to answer, discuss the book etc., but copy/paste workflow is far from perfect.

    Feature Requests:
    1. Intent.ACTION_SEND Support: Allow…

  12. Clean layout

Current layout is childish and over-designed, and takes up way too much of the available screen. Please give us an option to cleanup the layout of Lumo.

  13. Genuine privacy like private relay

Create a system similar to Apple Private Relay, where requests are sent to Lumo through two separate and secure internet relays.

    This will provide genuine privacy.

The first relay should be hosted by Proton and should know the user’s IP address — but not the request itself.

The second relay should be hosted by an organization other than Proton. This relay should know the request and forward it to Lumo — but must not know the user’s IP address.

Have a third party audit the entire setup.

  14. iOS 27+ Siri Integration

The IOS 27 beta is releasing tomorrow June 8th with a revamped Siri that supports the third-party chatbots Claude, OpenAi and Gemini. I have no desire, as do many of us to use any of those apps due to privacy issues. There is no good reason that a security focused AI should be excluded from that list, in fact it should be at the top of the list in this day and age. To me this is a must have. I don’t appreciate being forced down a road that is going to directly impact my reliance and trust in my…

  15. Lumo User Interface indicate percentage of output limit when responding

Lumo has a maximum character limit for a single response (according to Lumo). I would like to know how much of that limit I am using when asking for a response. Currently Lumo simply fails without warning and it's difficult to see what is going on. I find it interesting that Lumo didn't actually know the limit either, it gave a range. When I started asking Lumo more pointed questions it kept stopping partway through the output it responded:

You are absolutely right to notice that pattern! The problem is not with your request or my memory, but with the…

  18. Personas

A fantastic feature is "Personas", which already exist in GPT-5 or CoPilot. In my opinion, personas should be permanently stored beyond a conversation. For example, with the term "Remember that Eva, my team assistant, makes suggestions to me about stakeholder management for my customer base and does the LinkedIn analysis. This would enable me to continuously expand an AI assistant and my knowledge management.
I have asked Lumo+, but Lumo+ can only remember my requests or orders within a conversation. Or is there another way to set different personas?
Keep up the good work, Lumo+ is great fun and the…

  19. Fair Monthly Pricing

    Fair Monthly Pricing

Title: Offer competitively priced monthly-only options for add-ons (Lumo Plus, Meet Professional) without punitive markups

    Body:

Users with sporadic needs — such as using Lumo Plus for a few intense workdays or Meet Professional for a rare large meeting — are currently penalized by the pricing structure.

While annual plans offer a discount, they force a 12-month commitment for services that may only be needed for a few days. Monthly plans exist, but they often carry a significant premium compared to the monthly equivalent of the annual rate. This creates a "flexibility tax" that discourages users from…

  20. Prorated Cash Refunds

    Post 2: Prorated Cash Refunds

Title: Offer prorated cash refunds (not just account credit) when cancelling annual add-ons mid-cycle

    Body:

Currently, if a user cancels an annual add-on subscription (such as Lumo Plus or Meet Professional) partway through the billing year, Proton issues a prorated refund only as account credit, not as a return of funds to the original payment method.

This policy effectively locks the user's money into the Proton ecosystem, even when they no longer wish to use the service. It forces users to either:

Keep the subscription active to avoid "losing" the credit, or
    Accept that their
