1. Add Dedicated Feedback Button Inside Lumo+

   Right now there's no easy way to send feedback from within Lumo+ itself. I submitted a compliment through the bug report form as there was not a dedicated feedback option. Adding a simple, dedicated feedback button in the navigation pane. It would make it easy for users to share both praise and constructive suggestions — and you deserve to hear when you're doing a great job, because you are!

   I'd like to request official Lumo support for Android Auto. This would enable hands-free voice interaction with Lumo while driving, improving safety and accessibility.

3. text reminders/notifications in Proton Calendar

   Thank you for creating a private and functional Calendar. I use it for family and for my business. As you continue to develop it, have you considered a phone number built in so that the users can text reminders to customers? In my business model, I use Proton Calendar because it is private and secure. Most of my customers (patients) would benefit from text reminders/notifications rather than notifications through email. Consider enabling text features for the same options as the email/push notifications that are already built in.
   For example, Jane Doe schedules a session/appointment Thursday, 8:00 a.m. I schedule that in PCalendar. She receives the invitation same day as scheduling through email (that may or may not sync with her chosen calendar). Then 2 day prior on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m., Jane receives a text reminding her of her follow up session/appointment.
   
   I'm choosing to use PCalendar for it's security and privacy and don't want to subscribe to an additional outside of Proton service to complete text reminders. I currently manually send out text reminders for each session and hope PCalendar can create text reminders into it's system to streamline business efficiencies. I've added customer emails and phone numbers into the PAddress book already.

4. Voice typing in Ubuntu Linux and/or Firefox

   It would be great to have at least a web-based voice typing for Lumo on Firefox for those who, like me, are using Linux OS's. I'm on Ubuntu but am forced to another IA b/c of the lack of voice typing on LUMO. 😭

5. Feature Request: Adding OCR/Image Text Extraction to Lumo for Expense Tracking

   First, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible work you do. As a long-time Proton Unlimited user, I deeply value your commitment to privacy, security, and the "privacy-first" philosophy that sets you apart in the tech landscape. The fact that Lumo is built on zero-access encryption and respects user data is exactly why I chose to adopt it.

   I am writing today to share a piece of feedback regarding a potential feature enhancement that I believe would significantly boost Lumo's utility for daily life: Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for image uploads.

   Currently, while the file upload feature works seamlessly on my account, I am unable to extract text from images (such as photos of receipts, fuel pump displays, or invoices). For many users, including myself, this is a missed opportunity for powerful automation.

   Why this matters: Imagine a workflow where I could simply snap a photo of a fuel pump display or a grocery receipt, upload it to Lumo, and have the AI instantly:

   Extract the date, total amount, currency, and quantity.
   Automatically format this data into a CSV or spreadsheet row.
   Categorize the expense and update my budget or fuel tracking logs (like my existing fuelings.csv).
   This would turn Lumo from a conversational assistant into a true productivity partner for personal finance and logistics. It would save hours of manual data entry and reduce the friction of tracking daily expenses.

   A Note on Privacy: I understand that Proton prioritizes user privacy above all else. I am confident that this feature could be implemented in a way that aligns perfectly with your values:

   Local Processing: Ideally, the OCR processing could happen locally on the device (if supported) or in a zero-knowledge environment where the image is processed and the text is extracted without the raw image data ever being stored or logged on your servers.
   Explicit Consent: The feature could be opt-in, requiring explicit user permission for each image analyzed, ensuring full user control.
   I believe that adding OCR capabilities would not compromise the security model you have built but would instead demonstrate how privacy and powerful utility can coexist. It would make Lumo an indispensable tool for anyone trying to manage their life efficiently without sacrificing their data sovereignty.

7. Allow uploading from the Photos section in Proton Drive to Lumo, not just the Files section.

   Currently, when integrating Proton Drive with Lumo, only the Files section is accessible. It would be very useful to also allow uploading directly from the Photos section of Proton Drive. This would make it easier to analyze and edit images stored in encrypted cloud storage without having to move them to Files first.

9. Allow Lumo to create a specific Memories for us

   Currently i am having to ask Lumo to create a 1 line memory for a specific thing, then copy and paste that into a new memory manually. It would be great if we could ask it to do that last step for us, and it will first check if its hasn't been done already first (or something similar) of course.

   If there is already something similar Lumo could inform the user the fact and output which one into the chat.

   Additionally it would be handy if each memory is assigned a random unique code eg. A45E9 that Lumos could reference when mentioning the requested memory creation already exists and outputs it along with the unique ID number so the user can search for this within memories. Additional Search bar needs to be added of course.

    When you want to start lumo with voice reconition. Add the following:

    This would be hands free, so you can actually talk to Lumo to open/start it. There would be a button you could press as well.

12. Enable .ICS file import from https://calendar.proton.me/u/1/ instead of via https://account.proton.me/u/1/calendar/dashboard

    Various platforms are used increasingly for video meetings and webinars. When booking, I often receive a .ICS file to download frtom an email, then import into my calendar. Each time, I have to go to my calendar, then select settings, then all settings, then Import/Export. This process takes a long time. Given the frequency of needing to import .ICS files, it would be much faster and easier if it were possible to import it from the Calendar view.

13. Feature request — Lumo integration with Proton Drive as project context

    Hello,

    I'd like to propose a feature that would significantly increase Lumo's value for professional users: the ability for Lumo to read files directly from the user's own Proton Drive as conversation context.

    The current gap: Lumo works great with individual files pasted or uploaded into a chat, but there is no way to give it access to a complete folder — for example, a software project directory. Working on real code means needing context across many files at once (source code, configs, changelogs). Right now, this means repeatedly uploading files by hand, which breaks the workflow.

    Concrete user story (my own): I develop a network-management add-on for Kodi. Debugging sessions with Lumo involve dragging five-plus Python files into the conversation, manually keeping them in sync with my local versions, and re-sending them after long chats get compacted. If I could point Lumo at a synced folder in my Proton Drive — say, "read resources/lib in this shared folder as your working context" — the entire friction disappears. Everything stays end-to-end encrypted under my own keys, and Lumo always sees the current version.

    Why this fits Proton uniquely: This could become a genuinely differentiating feature. Privacy-focused cloud storage plus a private AI assistant that can securely work on your own files — with decryption happening client-side and content never exposed to third parties — is a combination mainstream competitors cannot credibly offer. For developers, writers, and researchers, "your encrypted Drive is your AI workspace" is a compelling pitch.

    Suggested scope (phased):

    Read-only access to user-selected Drive folders as chat context (with automatic refresh on file changes).
    Later: a session-persistent "workspace" concept that survives conversation compaction.

14. Scalable Vector Graphics (svg) Support

    Currently, Lumo can read html files, and SVGs can be read inside HTML files. But Lumo can't load an SVG file.

    I would like to see support for uploading SVG files to Lumo chats. It already (kinda) has this support via HTML files, so why not SVG files themselves?

    I think it would be really cool to see the ability to generate SVGs also, similar to images. Currently Lumo can do this already (treating it like SVGs in HTML) but I think with a bit of attention it could generate some really good SVGs.

16. Option to hide microphone button in chat box

    It would be great to have a toggle that lets users remove the microphone button from the chat box. Not everyone uses voice input, and having the option to hide it would keep things cleaner, especially on mobile where accidental taps happen. A simple on/off switch in settings would be helpful.

17. Make Lumo an agentic coding tool (Xcode)

    Make Lumo an agentic coding agent for Xcode, right alongside Claude Agent and Codex. Through MCP, Lumo could plug natively into Xcode's workflow — rummaging through Swift projects, pawing at documentation, updating build settings, sniffing out bugs, and iterating on Previews until everything is purr-fect.

    Xcode 26.3 opening up its capabilities through the Model Context Protocol — an open standard, no less — this feels like a purr-tunity too good to miss. Why should only two cats get to nap in that sunbeam?

18. Native file generation and download in Lumo (return edited project files as a ZIP)

    As an amateur developer working on Android apps with Visual Studio, I currently rely on ChatGPT for my coding workflow. I upload my entire project folder as a ZIP, describe the changes I need, and the AI corrects the files directly and sends them back to me as a downloadable ZIP. This automated loop is essential for me as a hobbyist who doesn't have the time or patience to manually copy-paste code into dozens of files.

    I would love to switch to Lumo because of its privacy focus and non-US ownership, but the current limitation is a dealbreaker. Right now, I can upload files for analysis, but any corrections require me to manually copy-paste the code back into Visual Studio. For a small project with many files, this makes the workflow too slow and cumbersome for an amateur developer.

    Feature request:

    Allow Lumo to act as a code agent: accept a project ZIP, apply requested changes to the files internally, and return the corrected project as a downloadable ZIP archive.
    Alternatively, enable direct writing to a linked Proton Drive folder for a project, so the changes are saved automatically.
    

    Without this feature, Lumo is impractical for software development tasks involving multiple files. Implementing this would make Lumo the perfect privacy-respecting alternative for hobbyists and indie developers who want to avoid US-based AI services but still need efficient, automated coding assistance.

19. Real Life Meca Lumo

    I found out how may of the small robots, with raspberry (<- mini pc) and such exist.

    It supports many of the other ais. And i can't help but want a cat like this:)))

    After all... can you Imagen if, despite having an ai, as a mini robot, seeing and talking and more with you, it's still 100% privacy? (i am not taking in account crimes and similar as per limitation of what 100% privacy means).

    For Proton: i don't know how they work but if the little robot can be compatible with Lumo, then we can take it from there, like maybe directly connected to our pc or something

    (Also for proton: ensure you do add policies against the use of such mini Lumos since i am sure people are already doing ai robot vs ai robots or some other vs stuff)
