  1. Ability to check updated files from Proton Drive

When I upload a file to Lumo from Proton Drive, Lumo makes a suggestion to change something in the file. A word file for instance. I do the changes and want Lumo to check it again. But a file that has been once uploaded to Lumo cannot be "updated" it can be uploaded and then it is locked in practice. I need to rename the file if I want lumo to see the new version. My proposal is that once I have updated a file on Proton Drive that I have a possibility to remove the old version from the…

  2. Genuine privacy like private relay

Create a system similar to Apple Private Relay, where requests are sent to Lumo through two separate and secure internet relays.

    This will provide genuine privacy.

The first relay should be hosted by Proton and should know the user’s IP address — but not the request itself.

The second relay should be hosted by an organization other than Proton. This relay should know the request and forward it to Lumo — but must not know the user’s IP address.

Have a third party audit the entire setup.

  3. Shared Calendar Colors

So when you share a calendar or invite someone else to it, it would be great or hugely beneficial if it would also save and use the specific colors people have already set for certain event types.
Because currently it only shows all events in that shared calendar with the default color and the new users would have to change the colors for the respective event individually and manually, which kind of defeats the purpose of a shared environment if you ask me. I mean should each individual user still be able to change colors independently? Sure why not, but…

  4. Offline access to Lumo chats & local search (like Proton Drive)

I'd like to propose a new feature for Lumo that enables access to chat histories without an internet connection – similar to the "Make available offline" function in Proton Drive.

Use Case: Users want to read and search through specific chats or project histories while offline (e.g., on a plane, in areas with poor connectivity, or for privacy reasons). Currently, Lumo is only usable online, which limits access to your own conversation data.

    Proposed Features:

    1. Offline toggle for chats:
Like in Proton Drive, users should be able to mark individual chats (or entire projects) with a toggle as "Available offline."…

  5. Lumo Conversation Bookmarks

I often have long conversations with Lumo and weeks or months later need to refer to just a section of that conversation. I know there is a search feature, but I'd like to be able to place a bookmark at a specific point of a conversation instead of conducting a keyword search across all conversations.

For example, I'm using Lumo for development and had some ideas for future features that I can't get to right now, and I need to keep the conversation on track. Six months from now, I'd like to quickly jump back to the part of the…

  6. Allow uploading from the Photos section in Proton Drive to Lumo, not just the Files section.

Currently, when integrating Proton Drive with Lumo, only the Files section is accessible. It would be very useful to also allow uploading directly from the Photos section of Proton Drive. This would make it easier to analyze and edit images stored in encrypted cloud storage without having to move them to Files first.

  8. Allow custom additions to lumo's training

This custom training would be opt in, but a message would say "By opting in, you agree to not hold us liable if something you disclose is exposed.

  10. Allow Lumo to create a specific Memories for us

Currently i am having to ask Lumo to create a 1 line memory for a specific thing, then copy and paste that into a new memory manually. It would be great if we could ask it to do that last step for us, and it will first check if its hasn't been done already first (or something similar) of course.

If there is already something similar Lumo could inform the user the fact and output which one into the chat.

Additionally it would be handy if each memory is assigned a random unique code eg. A45E9 that Lumos could reference…

  11. Add a copy icon for users own prompts

Add a copy icon for the users own prompts in the chat. Some of us like to copy and paste question and answers into Obsidian for example. It saves having to ask again in the future. We can copy the response but often if copying and pasting that some kind of context is needed sometimes hence being able to use/paste our questions/prompts into a note app etc.

  12. public URL parameter that pre‑loads a specific prompt

It would be nice to have a public URL parameter that pre‑loads a specific prompt, such as https://lumo.proton.me&q=my_specific_prompt because this would make it possible to define "search"-shortcuts in Browsers or for example in krunner under Linux to open Lumo directly with a starting-prompt.

  13. New Project + large information = split in different chats in project

Since title is self explained let me give an exemple using books.

When you open a book or anything with an index then you have something that has tons and tons of information. But they have capters (or similar separations) to ensure that it's not to much. And to make it even better, this splits are done based on subjects, themes, arcs, etc, so each chapter is building up the information without it being to much..... except, to understand the title i will talking about books with stories...

You started the book, you know what it is about (same how…

  14. Scalable Vector Graphics (svg) Support

Currently, Lumo can read html files, and SVGs can be read inside HTML files. But Lumo can't load an SVG file.

I would like to see support for uploading SVG files to Lumo chats. It already (kinda) has this support via HTML files, so why not SVG files themselves?

I think it would be really cool to see the ability to generate SVGs also, similar to images. Currently Lumo can do this already (treating it like SVGs in HTML) but I think with a bit of attention it could generate some really good SVGs.

I know iOS has voice dictation but this needs to come to the web browser version too. It saves so much time typing and a much better all round experience. Thanks!

  16. Feedback on Conversation Restrictions

I value Lumo’s privacy-first approach and commitment to respectful dialogue, but I feel that the conversation restrictions and automated content moderation make it frustrating to use for honest adult discussion. Too often, it feels less like I’m talking to a smart assistant and more like I’m conversing with a cautious PR department or a nervous nun—avoiding anything remotely challenging or controversial.

Real conversation and learning require engagement on sensitive, nuanced topics (like politics, social justice, religion and world affairs). Instead, Lumo shuts down or blocks the session whenever certain keywords or contentious issues are mentioned—even if the conversation is thoughtful,…

  17. Let Lumo export a single answer as PDF file, not as markdown script

Dear support team, please consider adding the feature to export answers, which are sometimes in form of tables or checklists.

  18. Option to hide microphone button in chat box

It would be great to have a toggle that lets users remove the microphone button from the chat box. Not everyone uses voice input, and having the option to hide it would keep things cleaner, especially on mobile where accidental taps happen. A simple on/off switch in settings would be helpful.

  19. Make Lumo an agentic coding tool (Xcode)

Make Lumo an agentic coding agent for Xcode, right alongside Claude Agent and Codex. Through MCP, Lumo could plug natively into Xcode's workflow — rummaging through Swift projects, pawing at documentation, updating build settings, sniffing out bugs, and iterating on Previews until everything is purr-fect.

Xcode 26.3 opening up its capabilities through the Model Context Protocol — an open standard, no less — this feels like a purr-tunity too good to miss. Why should only two cats get to nap in that sunbeam?

    Let's make app development purr-fectly pawsome !

  20. Allow third-party orchestrators (e.g., OpenCode, Goose)

Add support for external integration via standardized LLM API endpoints, allowing third-party orchestrators (e.g., OpenCode, Goose) to route requests through Lumo as the underlying language model provider.
