  1. Personal Assistants / Preconfigured Prompts in Lumo

I’d like Lumo to support personal assistants or preconfigured prompts, similar to what Kagi Assistant and other AI tools already offer.

This would make it easier to switch between different roles (e.g., researcher, writer, teacher, developer) without having to retype or remember long instructions each time. It would also give users more control and flexibility to adapt Lumo to their own workflows.

  2. Sensitive‑Data Confirmation for Feedback

    Problem

When users give a thumbs‑up/down on a response, the associated snippet (including any code or text shown) is sent for anonymous analysis. If the snippet unintentionally contains sensitive information (IP addresses, ports, encryption keys, hashes, credentials, etc.), that data could be transmitted without the user’s explicit consent.

    Proposed Solution

Add a post‑feedback check that scans the rated snippet for patterns that look like sensitive data. If a match is found, display a prompt:

“The content you just rated appears to contain potentially sensitive information (e.g., IP address, key, hash). Do you want to include this data in the feedback

  3. The ability to set a permanent but editable preamble that is always considered by Lumo+ at the start and during each chat.

I have recently moved from ChatGBT over to Lumo+ and I noticed some differences. Lumo+ under it's current configuration isn't nearly as accurate as Chat. Yes, Chat can get you up the wrong tree at times, but not as much as Lumo. One thing that I think that helped with Chat is the the ability to create a general header for how I wanted Chat to operate which included instructions about accuracy, depth, reply style, and whether to resort to the web to get latest information about softwre updates on things like Home Assistant and Raspberry Pi. With Chat I…

  4. File types and size / unsupported file types

The current file types to upload f.e. images don’t work well and constantly I’ll get the message of “unsupported file type” in the pop-up window and that’s a false flag. They are all files types that Lumo support. I can open those files without any problems within Proton Drive or iCloud. Same issue occurs on Windows desktop, iPhone and iPad. Drag and drop makes no difference.

The file size is also an issue, limited to 10MB and I have a subscription. An average photo is already more than that. Files stored in Proton Drive can be uploaded with a maximum…

  5. VPN Plus with special Lumo Plus offer :)

I am a bit unsure of following through with the Unlimited upgrade from VPN Plus to get Lumo Plus where Unlimited says Lumo is LIMITED. Its a matter of mixed messages. Doesn't VPN Plus need a special upgrade for Lumo Plus? I really don't need the other extras!! Except the Drive....??

  6. Add a mid-price tier to Lumo

Currently I can only get two flavours of Lumo: I can either use the free version and be (very) limited in using it, or pay the full price for all features. I'm not interested in using the most advanced llm and do not want to use it every day, so I'm not willing to pay €10 a month. At the same time, I'm willing to pay more then I pay now.

  7. Lumo Integration Part Two (Lumo Dedicated Encrypted Desktop Assistant, Legacy & New Applications Work Options)

All code generation & storage is encrypted and wrapped by a YubiKey.

Running code requires a second‑factor OTP/TOTP from the same YubiKey.

If the device can’t handle the workload, LDA warns the user and offers a secure cloud‑inference fallback.

The assistant stays offline except for signed updates or an explicit, user‑approved cloud request.

Implement the modules, follow the testing plan, and you’ll have a privacy‑preserving, hardware‑rooted Lumo Desktop Assistant that can safely generate, store, and execute programs on demand.

  8. Allow a chat to be splitted in two

Quite often, you start from a question, then derive to another subject, so that a single chat can contain different answers to different questions. These digressions are then difficult to find back, as the title only reflects the original question.

It would be nice, if simple to implement, to be able to split a chat into two different one, in order to have a better classification of past chats.

  9. Train Lumo on Proton support documentation

I should be able to get answers to Proton product questions by asking Lumo. To do this, Lumo should be trained on Proton support documentation. If this has already been done, Lumo does not leverage Proton support info consistently.

  10. Make it easier to navigate. I have quite some open queries that I go back to and at least on firefox it is very hard to find the slider

The slider on the side is really hard to find when you have a long query. But I would like to go up and down to see earlier answers and it is really hard to do. Not even the middle button (roll) on the mouse works to go up and down.

Today it is very easy to duplicate an event from my own calendars. However I am missing the possibility to copy/duplicate an event from an external calendar into my personal one.

  12. Setting for switching between 'enter to ask' and clicking to ask.

Japanese (and perhaps other languages) requires the enter button to convert text into characters, which ends up asking Lumo before the sentence is fully written. This is frustrating as theres no other way to ask Lumo without typing the sentence somewhere else first, then copying. A feature to turn off 'enter to ask' would be appreciated.

  13. Rich text in the Calendar

It would be great if the "Description" field in the Calendar entries would be rich text, like Google Calendar offers. That way, we can copy text and paste with formats like bold, underline, etc. etc.

  14. Any integration of A\nti I\ntellect tech into Proton products must be 100% OPT IN and switch enabled on a PER USE basis.

Given the countless ethical concerns, hallucinatory output failings, hugely excessive environment threatening energy costs and sick greed motives of its Bloated Bloodsucking Billionaire tech bro parasite promoters, A-nti I-ntellect technologies are proving toxic to both society and our planet on every level, starting with the fact that all of the Large Language Models were trained on the A-bducted I-ntellect of human beings that was stolen without notice or permission from its copyright holders, authors and creators globally. It is critical that internet users who understand the need for Ethical Tech (exemplified by the privacy protections of Proton products and services,…

  15. Feature Request: Controlled Email Thread Access for Lumo AI

Feature Request: Controlled & Secure Email Thread Access for Lumo AI

    Summary

Lumo's privacy-first approach is exactly why I wanted to use it — I was actually planning to build something similar myself, so I genuinely appreciate what Proton has created here. That said, I'm hitting a wall that prevents me from getting real value out of Lumo: there's currently no way to share email content with it in a controlled, secure manner.

    The Problem

Lumo correctly states it has no access to my mailbox — which is great in principle. But email is where most of my communication lives.…

  17. I want to be able to use Lumo using the latest Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version

I want to be able to use Lumo using the latest Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version, so that I can continue to use Lumo on my company notebook that does not support other browser brands.

Since yesterday (1 Nov 2025) I receive a message that says "Unsupported browser". There has been no communications to inform us that the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version will no longer be supported. Our browser version is fully up-to-date, at the time of writing it is 115.29.0 Firefox ESR October 14, 2025 and no newer version of Firefox ESR has been released at…

  18. Make the lateral bar in Lumo website stay opened if I want

That's it. It would be nice on the website if the lateral bar is set to be shown to maintain this status when recharged per each user, this might be done with a simple cookie.

    Thanks

  19. Have a monthly calendar view that displays a month ahead of the current day

In the current month view, when you are nearing the end of the month, the vast majority of the screen is taken up by past events and therefore often not very useful. Have an additional view that shows the month ahead from the current date.
