  1. Setting to show overlapping events

So I know this is likely a niche case that doesn't apply too many people.

But when I'm planning out my week I use multiple calendars based on the context of what I'm doing. And I also put a buffer time onto events.

I also will "Double-book" events over each other on purpose because I'm not sure how long events will take but I know "I want to finish this stuff today". Which Proton Calendar lets me do with ease.

However, on the mobile Calendar App, when I go to the Agenda view. It hides all overlapping events, and only…

  2. Allocate a colour and description to a calendar entry from a pallet of colours (similar to Mail Labels/Folders)

Justification: Quick (glance) overview of types/importance of calendar events e,g, Meeting (Business); Meeting (Personal); Deadlines etc.

Based on the concept avalable with Mail Labels/Folders - colour with free format description? Calendar view becomes multi coloured.

Allocate at time of new entry or an update.

  3. make popup stand out

In the darker themes, the popouts are nearly indistinquishable (no borders). A border or a lighter colr (not white, please) to differentiate them from the backbround would be helpful.

The range of colours for different calendars is too limited. Please include at least a yellow and a grey option. Thanks!

  6. PLEASE Add a biometric or Pin lock to the iOS Calendar app!

A biometric or pin lock to keep events in the iOS calendar private is critical, without a lock the app is completely unusable

  7. SimpleLogin integration improvements

    1. SimpleLogin needs to have it's services integrated into ProtonMail. I know you're working on this, but I have some suggestions on exactly how it should be done. Upon alias generation using SL add-on, you should be able to choose what happens in ProtonMail when an email is sent to that alias. Personally, I would like to be able to either create a new folder, or choose from an existing folder to automatically filter the email to, or just go straight into my inbox (for example, for use with paid services). This allows me to choose various priority levels.

    2. I should…

  8. Assign a background color to periods of time

I need to plan the activities within a period of time. I would like to see this period's lentgh when planning activities. I would like to bea able to change the background color for that specific period of time (days or week) in the month/year presentation. On top of that background I would like to see the planned activities related to that period of time.

  9. Update relative times in notifications

If you have, for example, a full-day event with a notification the day before, the notification will be titles "tomorrow".
However, once midnight has passed, the notification will still state "tomorrow" and not "today". This has caused me a great deal of confusion.
Please update the notification on midnight.

  10. Accept for example "1 PM" to mean "1:00 PM".

When entering an event that has start and end times, if I type for example "1 PM" and tab out, the time is not saved as "1:00 PM", but instead resets to whatever time was there before. I think entering for example "1 PM" or "1 pm" or "1pm" should resolve to "1:00 PM", and so on.

  11. Setting event time with keyboard

I'm trying to use the keyboard more and the mouse less. When I create a new event that is not an all-day event l always stumble when setting the time. Let's say I want the start time to be 08:00. I start typing "08". The time picker pops up, and the time "08:00" is highlighted. So far so good. But now I expect to be able to select the highlighted time by tapping the enter key, the space key or the tab key. None of them work. I either have to click in the time picker with the mouse or…

  12. Option for contacts to have birthdays and anniversaries added to calendar

I would like to just check a box near the birthday or anniversary box in a person's contact info to have that event pop up in my calendar as a recurring "all day" annual event. And if I uncheck the box, the calendar deletes the entry.

  13. Android: Alarm should override silent mode/alarm should sound in silent mode

Similar to Android's "Simple Calendar" I need the Proton Calendar's alarms for events to sound even in silent mode. Simple Calendar can do this. I think it might be related to an advanced option (that's not available in Proton Calendar) to "allow setting alarms and reminders", but I'm not sure.

I need this because my phone is usually on silent but I still need to be able to hear the calendar alerts.

    Thanks!

  14. Allow notifications to be set AFTER an event as well as before.

As in Apple's Calendar, I find the ability to set a notification AFTER an event very helpful. If I blow off the first notification, I can still get notifications of things I should have done. As it is now to get that, I have to set the event about the time it is critical (like paying estimated taxes) and then set up notifications in advance.

  15. color coded events by user

Allow (but don't require) different colors for each user that posts an event on shared calendars, i.e., blue for the owner, red for the 1st shared user, green for the next, etc.
Also once an event has passed, change the color to gray to indicate it is historical in nature.

  17. Support for Chinese/Lunar dates

    Hello,

Being able to set events that repeat every year base on the Lunar/Chinese calendar is an extremely useful feature for Koreans (and maybe other countries)

As there are multiple public and private events that are based on the Lunar Calendar in Korea this feature would make it much easier to have an event repeat based on the lunar calendar and not having to add it every year.

For example, a lot of older people's birthdays and ancestral rites uses the Lunar Calendar.

And there are possible more use cases where this would be useful.

    Thank you

  19. Add (limited) smtp submission to private plans (ex: to send email from a private nextcloud or blog)

I'd like to receive notification emails via my nextcloud private server or my blog. Currently smtp submission (https://proton.me/support/smtp-submission) is only available for Business or Enterprise customers, which is a steep upgrade from 4.99 to 12.99.

I understand you might want to keep the offerings separate, possibly only allow 3 services to connect for private plans?

  20. Add field to mark appointments as free, busy or tentative.

Calendar events/appointments need a field to mark the appointment as free, busy, or tentative. This is needed to support scheduling as free and tentative appointments will not block out availability times.
