Show multi-day appointments of less than 24 hours as regular appointments
Currently, an appointment from 23:00 to 1:00 the next day is shown as a mutli-day appointment in the top bar in the Android version of Proton Calendar.
To me, it is important that, when planning, I can see such appointments in the regular agenda view. This prevents me from making overlapping appointments.
Google Calendar does this by showing appointments of less than 24 hours regularly and appointments of 24 hours or more are shown in the top bar.
Also, the desktop view of Proton Calendar already has this behaviour. But the Android version does not.

Biometrics lock for Calendar iOS and Android mobile apps
All Proton services are intended and optimized for privacy, why not have the apps locked with fingerprint lock/Face ID..... to avoid others from opening our apps (e.g seeing private sensitive events).

Show countdown to event on calendar icon
There's a Chrome Extension for Google Calendar called "Checker Plus for Google Calendar." Among other features it places a calendar icon with the day's date in the Chrome toolbar, just like the icon on the right of the Proton Mail app. However, it also overlays a box with a countdown to the next event ("2 days," "1 day", "6 hours," "44 min," etc.)
It would be fantastic to have something like that overlayed on the Proton Calendar icon in the app. It helps me remember that I've got a thing coming up.
You can get a sense of it in…

Share calendar on free plan
Wife and I are trying out Proton suite. The current purchase price is a bit high, though if we were to find ourselves really sticking with it and starting to see the value, that could change. There are just so many free alternatives, so really need to see the value first at a practical level.
The immediate issue is that we have to be able to share the calendar with each other. With that not being available in the Free sku, we likely won't continue to use Proton long enough to consider upgrading.

Diary
I would like to have a diary app that is private. While thinking about it, I realized it could be integrated into the Proton Calendar. While it is possible to use it as a diary aleady, i think it would be nice to have it a little more specialized for it with a few options. For example, there is no need to have schedules in a diary and some diary apps offer to set an emotion for each page. The date of an entry should be set automatically to the time that an entry is created. Like one can have…

Ceridian dayforce is a scheduling app used by companies so workers can see when theyre planned in. This app has a local calendar sync feature built in that currently doesnt work with proton calendar.

Month - Week - Day view toggle button
Substitute the current drop-down menu with individual buttons or icons or a single toggle button for a quicker toggle between Month - Week - Day view, at least for wider screens. Havint to use 2 clicks for such a feature, which I frequently use, slows down the worflow.

Sometime this week option
Not all events or tasks can (or should) have a scheduled time, or even day. The ability to create a “Sometime this week” task/event, would be really useful.
It could float day to day as the week progresses if it’s not marked ‘done’ or whatever, and at the end of the week we’d have a quick view at the things we did NOT get to that we wanted to, and that we DID get done.

Distinguish recurring events
This is a minor quality-of-life improvement, but one that I - and hopefully others - would find immensely useful. I would like to request the addition of a visual indicator in the main calendar view if an event is a recurring one (Outlook does this with a circular double-arrow symbol). If one instance of a recurring event is altered, that symbol becomes crossed-out, but remains visible as to distinguish between recurring events, altered recurring event entries, and single events.

Delete outdated calendar entries
I want to make a calendar that will delete its contents after X time has passed from the date planned.
I think that this will reduce the load on Proton's servers and be in line with the right to be forgotten.

It would be helpful to be able to add a note when declining an event, explaining why the event was declined.

Accepting an event should be associated to the recipient's email
It is a bug, but the support said it's more like a feature.
Accepting an event invite associates the event with the default email address instead of the recipient's one.
- Assume you have X@protonmail.com and Y@mydomain.com addresses.
- You receive a calendar invite on Y@mydomain.com.
- If you accept, Proton Calendar accepts it as X@protonmail.com instead of Y@mydomain.com
At the moment, you have to manually go to Proton Calendar, edit the invite, associate it with Y@mydomain.com, save it, and accept the invite.
Of course, there are edge cases such as aliases, but that's the power of it.

Autofill Location for Events
Some calendars like iOS and Gmail have a location feature that as you type the name of a place, the address (or addresses) appear and allow you to select it. I would like to see this as a feature; I think it would be a great improvement to how selecting a location works now. Now, you have to click the place or link after an event has been added and it will open either Maps, Google Maps, or Waze to ask which place is the correct one you're looking for.
