Custom plans - make your own bundle (add-ons)
Instead of having a Plus, with a fixed number of custom domains and adresses, let users build their own paid plan.
Some may only want more space, without the other extras, or something else

1000% this
If I could have mail, drive, password, authenticator and 10 email domains, I'd move tomorrow for my family (4 users).

Dear Proton Community and Development Team,
We propose the introduction of fully customizable Proton plans that allow users to select and pay for the exact amount of storage and specific features they need. This model would shift from rigid, pre-defined tiers to a flexible, user-centric system, thereby accommodating a wider range of user needs and use cases and strengthening Proton's commitment to user autonomy and transparency.
Our proposal is as follows:
* Modular Plan Building:
* Customizable Storage: Users can choose their desired storage capacity I using a slider. The pricing would be based directly on the chosen amount, offering a clear and scalable cost model.
* À la Carte Features: A user's plan would start with a base level of essential features. They could then add specific advanced features as needed, paying a small premium for each. These add-ons could include but are not limited to:* Advanced file version history (e.g., extending beyond 30 days).
* NetShield.
* Unlimited Lumo chat history.
* Increased file link bandwidth or view limits.
* Enhanced sharing controls (e.g., password-protected links, expiration dates).
* Desktop sync capabilities for multiple devices.
* Priority support and direct access to a support team.* Proton Business/Professional Tier:
* This tier would remain for organizations, offering a comprehensive, unlimited package for all features and a large shared storage pool, designed for seamless collaboration and administration. It would still offer customizable storage and feature add-ons but at a bulk rate.Justification and Benefits:
* Increased Flexibility & Perceived Value: Users only pay for what they use and need, making the service more attractive to both light and heavy users. A small business might need a lot of storage but only basic features, while a creative professional might need less storage but advanced sharing controls. This allows Proton to fit a broader range of use cases without forcing users into mismatched plans.
* Broader Market Reach: This model appeals to a new segment of users who find current tiers either too restrictive (Free) or too feature-rich/expensive (Plus/Unlimited). It provides a "fit-for-purpose" solution that is more likely to convert hesitant users.
* Clearer Pricing Model: The pricing is transparent and directly tied to the value of each component (storage and features), making it easier for users to understand what they are paying for. This builds trust and reinforces Proton's commitment to transparency.
* Strengthened Ecosystem: This proposed model showcases Proton's ability to offer its services as a modular ecosystem, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, providing a strong foundation for future product integrations.We believe this proposed customizable plan structure would greatly enhance the Proton user experience, make the service more accessible and appealing to a wider audience, and strengthen Proton's position as a leader in privacy-focused solutions.
Thank you for your time and consideration. -

I'd like to purchase the Pass and Mail plans. No interest in the others.

I'd love to be able to select the features I need one by one, like for example : Proton Mail Plus, Proton Pass Plus and maybe Proton VPN, as I'm not interested buy the drive or wallet I'm not willing to pay for features I don't need in the full bundle

It would be awesome! There are just some of functionalities that I would use. E. g. family plan: I don't care about storage that much, I just want VPN for everybody.

As a current Mail Plus subscriber, when trying to subscribe Pass Plus for 2€/month only Proton Universal plan is offered, but this plan is much more expensive than Mail Plus + Pass Plus. I don't see a reason to restrict users to subscribe only the services they want to use.

This feature would be amazing. I dont need the storage and i think, the possiblity to remove or add features to make less expensive, it would be amazing!

It would be amazing if it was possible to maintain multiple different subscriptions at once.
For instance, I do not want to pay for Proton Unlimited and do not need half of the features it provides. I currently pay for Proton Pass Plus and would also like to purchase Proton Mail Plus, and I would be willing to pay for both of these subscriptions separately. However as this is not currently an option, I am stuck with just Pass Plus at the moment.

I have a MailPlus account and a ProtonPass Free account. I'd like the ProtonPass Plus but there's ni way to get it unless I go for the full package at nearly 3 times the price. I don't need the VPN or drive features and I feel agrieved at being forced to pay for something I don't want in order to get something I do. Can you make a 'mix and match' option where you can choose the products you want and get a price to match.

I would welcome more flexibility and mixing options for the different plans, too.
Similar topic, similar issue: (albeit the title doesn't indicate it at first glance):

I would welcome a more flexible subscription system, too.
Currently, I am on the Proton Pass Plus plan, I happily took the Lifetime 1 EUR offer.
Now I would like to give Unlimited a try, but in case of deciding against it long-term, I would like to switch back to my 1 EUR Lifetime Proton Pass Sub, which does not seem possible, either.
Alternatively, I would like to add a Mail Plus plan. -

I currently have the same problem i have mail plus and want to use unlimited aliases.
I pay less if i pay for Mail+ and a "direct" simplelogin subscription than paying for Proton Unlimited. -

Crucial for me. I'd love to get Unlimited since I do use all of their services but I can't afford it at this point in time. However, with the recent (unfair) VPN change, I need to subscribe but I can't do that since I have a Proton Pass subscription and I refuse to drop it just to use a VPN; I'd rather find a competitor if I have to do that.
That said, if we get the option to customize our plan, I'd be more than happy to subscribe to Proton VPN, so yes: a critical feature for me.

I used to be a Proton Unlimited subscriber, however after a few months I realised I barely made use of the full feature set of the plan, and couldn't continue to justify the cost.
I have subscribed to a year of Pass Plus, mostly for the SimpleLogin integration and I do thoroughly enjoy the plan!
However, I would also like to subscribe to Mail Plus. While I don't tend to use the Calendar side of the plan, there are a few features in Mail that I would enjoy using.
But when I went to also subscribe to Mail Plus, I noticed that if I did that I would have the remainder of my Pass Plus plan subtracted from the Mail Plus subscription and Pass Plus would be cancelled!
It feels like this is such a basic feature, to be able to subscribe to individual services from Proton. And I have seen many posts across different sites saying the same thing...
I see 2 possible solutions:
* Allow users to select multiple plans at once
* Allow users to choose which individual features they want to purchase, such as custom email domains (Mail), integrated 2FA and SimpleLogin (Pass). -

There are a phenomenal amount of people requesting different versions of plans, it astonishes me that Proton hasn't clued in and made plans "pick-and-choose" all together. Sure offer some preset plans with commonly purchased things in a bundle. But people's needs can vary, so if you want to get as many subscriptions as possible from as many people as possible they need to let us choose what features we want in our bundles. Tuta does this and for a fraction of the cost. More paying users will help development, but if you can't offer us plans that meet our needs then it's hard to grow.

Hello,
i noted that Proton's plans are too static and cannot be mixed. Currently it's impossible to get two "Plus" subscriptions at single account.So can you introduce more flexible plans and allow mixing of Plus plans e.g. to allow having mail+pass or pass+vpn etc. depending on the user needs. In some cases, Unlimited plans are not required and could be too costly to overpay for the services ones are not using.
Ideally user could be paying 100% for the first "Plus" plan and reduced price e.g. 80% or 60% for another Plus plan at the same account as long as there is other valid subscription ;)

Would be pretty cool if they change up their subscription model to accomplish this. Don't need calendar, drive and pass but really love to use mail and vpn. this would save me some money and I wouldn't need to consider to change to another provide for mail and vpn
