Litecoin payment option
Please accept Litecoin as a payment method for premium accounts and donations. While Bitcoin is a great investment asset, for normal low level payments below multiple-thousand level, Litecoin is much better. Bitcoin transaction fees are already around $5. Currently Litecoin fees are around $0.05 or 5 cents. Even the advent of lightning networks on Bitcoin will not make Bitcoin cheaper since Litecoin will also have Lightning network payments and channel costs will be 100x more expensive on Bitcoin.

Just Litecoin? I reckon a payment gateway such COTI Pay would serve a much much wider audience as it integrates with PayPal, credit cards, Bitcoin and more.

Litecoin + Lightning Network - NOW!!!!!

If you implement Lightning Network you can accept BOTH Bitcoin and Litecoin in an anonymous manner. WIN | WIN

@Melyssa Hubbard
"Be a pioneer, accept litecoin"?? You're joking, right?Litecoin is totally OBSOLETE, just like Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.
Come on, people. Move on... that whole class of cryptocurrency is dying a slow death.
It's OK to let go and embrace the future. DAG coins like XRB and IOTA are light years ahead of Bitcoin and Litecoin.
Raiblocks, for example, is COMPLETELY FREE and INSTANT. No fees whatsoever, and the whole transaction only takes about 2-3 seconds to show up in your wallet.
Please explain to me why accepting or using LTC makes anyone a "pioneer". It is already ancient history.

Be a pioneer . . . accept Litecoin!

i love the idea of payment in crypto currency only shows the spread and future of crypto currency in the world. so littel of it is in use and very small amount of involvement and knowledge compared to the mass amount of people worldwide. am a crypto currency supporter and avid investor and trader would be cool if proton could have a coin even better

I would prefer a privacy-centric coin like Monero before Litecoin. There are no benefits to Litecoin besides cheaper fees. Monero transactions are all private by nature and fit well within the Protonmail ethos.

LTC is good, but I second the IOTA comment below. zero fees, and this service is appropriate under the IOTA model.

Ltc, as well as Iota (no transaction fees), would also be good

Shameful shilling. Please work on the calendar and enhanced email features first.

As fees for sending bitcoin have increased significantly, I find myself using litecoin to send payments accross. This would make protonmail standout, and would bring in a lot of extra business.

Supporting crypto payments would be a fantastic addition, however, I would suggest that you also take a look at Ethereum. It is poised to become the standard in blockchain technology and it's ability to support smart contracts could literally become the backbone of services like Protonmail in the future. Definitely superior to Litecoin.
