    I think BTC payments work fine as long as you choose a low fee when sending transactions and send them when the mempool isn't full of spam.

    I would prefer a privacy-centric coin like Monero before Litecoin. There are no benefits to Litecoin besides cheaper fees. Monero transactions are all private by nature and fit well within the Protonmail ethos.
