"give us an App for an operation system which gets nuked on a daily basis". Nope.

It's already hard enough to provide a good security environment while using different browers. Developing clients for specific operation systems is not only time consuming but difficult.

Also, using the words "MacOS" and "protection" in one sentence is like saying "we need a form of ethical murder".

People using the argument "lol, buy a new computer ololololol" forget that security should not be made inconvenient for people with less money.

I am happy for everyone who has a good machine and can run proton smoothless, but from a developer point of view, protonmail IS slower compared to other providers and it's NOT because of the security/encryption ProtonMail deploys.

There should be at least a light weight option for user who experience problems.

Hey, please add <insert random currency> to ProtonMail, because <insert emotional argument>! We are <insert random number> people and <insert random currency> is the future, we <insert emotional word> promise!

I'm oppose this idea. This would strech dev resources thin as it would require development of clients for various operation systems and be kept up to date, especially considering almost daily security problems on the OS level. Keeping it in the browser at least enables them to be focused on one 'system'.

Adding a viable (!) cloud storage option is the next step for ProtonMail! It should:

    1. be priced similarly to Google / Dropbox (otherwise people won't pay)

    2. more pricing / storage options than the competition (granular storage space selection)

    3. APIs - at least REST (also provide attributes like sha-md5 hashes)

    4. A fast & secure web version of it; one can add Android, iOS, Windows & Linux apps later.

    5. Similar encryption structure to how ProtonMail already works.

    6. Limit sharing (only in combination with a file/folder specific symmetric password.), otherwise DMCA will subvert security/anonymity of users and subvert ProtonMail mission.
