Family Plan
Visionary is way too much of space, addresses and domains!
Normal family would use not more than 1GB per user and no more than single custom domain.
Main points for improvement:
- Increase the users to 10
- Decrease storage to 5GB total
- Decrease custom domains to 1
- Remove ProtonVPN
And then have price around 10EUR/month to be truly affordable.
Thanks for your feedback! Family plans are available: https://proton.me/support/get-started-proton-family

The current Family plan offers way too much storage and features for the average family. Providing secure email and VPN for a young small family shouldn't be that expensive.
I'd be amazing if you could create a more affordable Family Plan (LITE), with way less storage, currently 3TB down to 200GB for example, halving all the other unneeded features and reducing the users from 6 to 4 if need be.Thank you!

Price is very high for poor countries. We are not all Swiss. Adobe - Microsoft - Google - Amazon - Netflix are affordable in south Asia. When you have 500 CHF you cannot afford 20 for privacy when its 7CHF for office 365 family 6 accounts + 1Tb/account + office.

Too expensive! I only want 3 accounts not 6

Price is insanly high and not worth it, even with the 33% discount. It should be more affordable and reasonable.
Nobody is going to pay 20 bucks a month. -

The family price is not reasonable! Then when you read the comments here, you become even more confused, aren't there separate email addresses for the family? Seems extremely stupid.
I would like to pay for my family so we get, for example, "mail plus" + "proton pass" for 5-6 accounts. The storage is maby 250gb to share with each other.
Currently, i choose 1password family and free plans. But i would pay for accounts if they where cheaper for my family. And i would have moved over from 1password to protonpass if it where cheaper.

This has been done for months. Does anyone go through these and mark them as complete?

The important thing missing here is they also need to INCREASE the custom domains for each family member... i.e. 3 for each family member
Hope they will do this soon, as all the other metrics increase with the family plan except for the custom domains.
A lot of family members have their own custom domains for projects and emails, so it becomes really important to be able to get all of a families emails working in one place.

Bought VPN Plus for the multiple device feature and increased server access, but would be just as happy with a less expensive five-device limit or perhaps five devices combined with Proton Pass and Proton Mail IMAP/SMTP client support. The Proton webmail interface is too darn slow. Or enable us to customize a package combo. Oh, and a senior citizen discount for geeky geezers like me. :)

If the account holder gets to divvy up the storage which is finite then it seems silly to restrict on family members. It also hinders power users from promoting the products to wider family members so the tech kid in the family administering for nan and grandad etc. If there has to be a limit, set it at 10 or so...

Hey Proton team, this is done. Can you mark this as completed?

Family membership, family calendar and so on, would be perfect.

This is an awesome Idea. Especially then you could all see your family calendars and know what each one had. Parents of big families could accurately keep school, work, doctors appts, awards ceremonies all synced and shared. This would be awesome.
Would also love to be able to automatically add an event- example. Your doctors send you an appt confirmation you could click on the hyperlink date and then click add to proton calendar entering the details swiftly. ( outlook and iCloud) ( CalDav support) I believe it’s called - these suite currently have this features. Makes for easy calendar updates in a few key 🔑 eateries. Thanks.

Very good idea, but maybe with more storage (50 Gb per user for emails, for ex)?

I really second this idea !
For a family, we do not want to go into the hassle of creating an organization, a domain, having to manage Administrators and so on... we are not business !
Just the possibility to "group" the billing of a few Unlimited plans would be great ! -

So, when I pay for a full year of unlimited service that provides 10 VPN connections, 3 domains, and 15 email addresses... And I love everything about it so far... But it takes me a few weeks (past refund period) to get around to adding my wife as a second user and...
... umm, yeah, not such a happy camper. I mean, alternate addresses are great but I'm not THAT much of a troll.
How about I be able to split those resources between 2 people? I see a lot of people suggesting an additional fee but as far as I'm concerned it should cost $0. How difficult can it be to implement? Proverbial flick of a switch. Sure, maybe a token amount like an extra $1 per month or a little more if they want another full 500gb of drive space.
Please don't go down the path of Microsoft's "You're paying for 6TB of OneDrive but each family member can only access 1TB sorry the only alternative is an enterprise plan" shenanigans.
4 of my cats enjoy having their own 365 accounts, but they can't log in and out by themselves.
15 addresses but only one user feels similar - looks great on paper, not so useful when you suddenly realize it MUST have mentioned the 1 user limit somewhere but you've kinda been taken advantage of by yet another tech company.
A second Unlimited plan or business plan is total overkill. Please just allow 2 - 4 users to be able to access a single Unlimited account. If the capability already exists for business accounts it can be added to accounts with a minimal number of keystrokes.
We'd really like to escape the Google-verse as much as possible. Help us out.

Add an Family subscription to add family members in your subscription. Lika the business subscriptions but not to have ad an website domain to add users.

Obviously this missing plan prevents me from moving my whole family.
For Lastpass I pay somewhat 65€/year for the whole family. It'll be fair to have the same pricing with Proton Mail.
