Family Plan
Visionary is way too much of space, addresses and domains!
Normal family would use not more than 1GB per user and no more than single custom domain.
Main points for improvement:
- Increase the users to 10
- Decrease storage to 5GB total
- Decrease custom domains to 1
- Remove ProtonVPN
And then have price around 10EUR/month to be truly affordable.
Thanks for your feedback! Family plans are available: https://proton.me/support/get-started-proton-family

As you can read here: https://protonmail.com/blog/protonmail-v3-8-release-notes/ (topmost comment) there won't be any separate accounts under a PLUS subscription. All families will need to buy the future professional plans, which are ridiculously expensive:
"Professional plans will be priced at $8/month per account and you can add as many accounts as you want. So for 2 people, two professional accounts would be $16. For 3-5 users, the Visionary plan is the best deal because that is fixed at $24/month." (Admin)
That's 192$/year for two people and 288$/year for three and more people. So please back this feature request: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/18627634-multi-user-support-for-plus-subscription

This was already reported and I recommend everyone vote on that suggestion to hopefully move it up the line and have a chance at being implemented.

Agree. We need to add up the redundant threads supporting family plans/ multi user plus support!

Agree. Disappointed it's limited to visionary accounts. They're more costly than buying 3 regular accounts.

Agree! Although this is a redundant thread.

I have been a protonmail for less than a week and I love it! So much so that I upgraded to pro so that I can give my wife an email account where we can communicate and share private info.
To my surprise, the 5 emails in pro are only that, 5 emails. I cannot manage or assign additional users the emails that I have created.
This was very frustrating to me because if I want to create users I have to upgrade to visionary, which I will not do for a family of 2.
I would like to request for pro members to be able to create and manage management up to 5 users.

Would also like to see this. Last time I commented on this, a ProtonMail employee said they opened the 'swag store' in part to obtain additional funding to grow. I immediately bought $100 of t-shirts/sweatshirts to help the cause...of course in addition to being a Plus member.

This really was the whole point of my purchasing ProtonMail Plus. I'd like all of my family to have the option of having a secure account, especially on a single domain name.

I agree that we need this ASAP! Many providers offer family plans! I have a family plan with Microsoft (Office365) and one with Apple Music. This makes it affordable for large family such as mine! (7)

Introduce a family paid plan, I think it would be very handy for many people

Families often have things stored on their computers they would like to store in a cloud (student papers, family photos, music, etc) a variety of formats. Suppose storage wasn't a problem...suppose there were Premium Family pack accounts:
- Where each family member gets his or her own private encrypted email account and family domain name (@JonesFam14)
-Mom and Dad can decide whether each family member gets his or her own storage for files (if brother and sister still fight a lot) or if they can all share one BIG storage account.
-Mom and Dad can always have full control and 'back doors' into their kids' storage areas to make sure it's still appropriate. NO embarrassing pictures of each other or inappropriate movie storage :)
-Storage space amounts can be based by price with the option to expand as the number of files and emails grow over time.
-Category limits can be preset by parents (xGB for movies, xGB for music and so on)
-A master passphrase override option for parents might be better rather then a password for this for security sake. Kids can have their own passwords for their individual email
-As kids grow older and head off to college, they can still have access from school to everything. Mom and Dad can still help edit those research papers easy.Probable drawback: Hopefully Mom and Dad are tech savvy enough to handle!
