Will there ever be payments or subscriptions in AUD or NZD?
there are always hidden foreign currency exchange fees for anything purchased in USD or EU currencies.

  2. Desktop bridge for free users.

I am so disappointed that the new 'Protonmail Bridge' is only for paid accounts. I love Protonmail for the fact that it is secure and free. If they continue to leave free users out of these great new features; I may not continue to use Protonmail!

  3. Email + VPN Package plan for personal use

Email + VPN plan for individuals who want both services.
    * More convenient (than signing up and paying twice)
    * Added value (discount or extra features) for using both
    * 10 days Priority Support (why not encourage users who are nervous about getting started, since most will never need to use it?!)

    PRICE: ~ $8/month or $80/year (discounted)

    Email:
    - 5 addresses
    - 10+ GB
    - plenty of folders, few hundred messages/day
    - [optional] Add Custom domain for $10/year

    VPN:
    - 2 simultaneous connections (unlimited devices)

  4. uname@pm.me and uname@protonmail.com should count as ONE address, not two

Currently, if somebody wants the addresses uname@pm.me and uname@protonmail.com, they both count toward the address limit even though registering EITHER as an alias prevents the other from being used by anyone else.

Instead, the limit on paid accounts should, for example, be five usernames and not five addresses. So if you were to register:

    uname1@pm.me
    uname1@protonmail.com
    uname2@pm.me
    uname2@protonmail.com

that would be two addresses, not four.

  5. Enable users to take payments in BitcoinSV using PayAlias

Paymail is a new service created for BitcoinSV which allows anyone with an email address to receive Bitcoin payments into a linked Bitcoin wallet. The details of how this works are at http://bsvalias.org/
Paymail must be set up for each domain and so far almost all domains that have been set up are privately held.
Protonmail would be an instantaneous leader in the space by allowing their users to receive payments using protonmail.com or pm.me addresses.
I am head of Technology at Faia Corp who are a management consultancy in the BitcoinSV space as well as training and development manager…

  6. Only allow login with the username/main address, not with every address.

Do not allow that you can log into the account with every address.

If my account name is john.smith then only allow login with john.smith or john.smith@protonmail.com. Not with finance.john.smith@protonmail.com or any other address.

Perfect would be if you would have the choice what address can be used in order to log into your account.

With the current way you have to give away your login username in order to send emails. Hiding the username from the public would be an advantage, since they would have to guess your username and the password. Not only one of them.

  8. Pivx coin payment

PIVX ( Private Instant Verified Transaction ) is a cryptocurrency that prioritizes privacy and decentralized governance. As of 10/16/2017 they will have implemented the Zerocoin protocol to anonymize transactions. The mission ( and the color scheme of purple ) of Pivx and Protonmail align and I'd love to see Proton mail implement a PIVX payment option. For more information on Pivx, please visit pivx.org.

  9. Support Duo 2FA.

I would like the ability to use push notifications as my 2FA. It is a no brainier as this would also allow for yubikeys. It would also allow enterprise to better keep track and make use of this service. Lastpass supports it fully and it is fantastic. I go to log in and if I did not set it to allow this device for 30 days I click accept on the notification on my phone. Much easier and more convinient than putting a pin in every time I log in. With you lacking support with bridge this is the only…

  10. if a payment is missed, convert account to a free one rather than hold our email hostage until we pay

i lost my debit card and the bank issued me a new one, as such, it had a new account number and i didn't think to update my auto-payment info with protonmail.
when it came time to pay again, it failed and held my account hostage.
so i was unable to access my email until i foundout why it was happening, and finally updated it. but in the meantime, it should have simply converted my account to a free one or given a 30 day extention to be able to access my email. what if it was a holiday weekend…

  11. ProtonMail "basic" plan for non-profit organizations

    Hi,

I'm part of a non-profit organization which can't afford a ProtonMail Plus plan.

We just need more labels and more storage than the free tier allows. We don't need aliases, custom domains, or IMAP. I'm sending it here because I can see in our mailbox that we're not the only non-profits using Gmail.

I should also highlight that some "non-profits" are probably illegal with repressive governments. (Then they're not, on the legal field, non-profit, but they deserve encryption no less than myself.)

So various ideas could come up. Non-profits could have more labels and more storage for free. ProtonMail…

  13. Cheaper Mail + VPN Options!

Right now I use Protonmail and Private Internet Access for my VPN. I'd love to switch to your VPN and upgrade my e-mail, which I'm going to have to eventually do for space here... but your prices are completely astronomical! $50.00 a year for both I would reason as being worth it for both services... for $39.99 on PIA VPN, I get more than 2 devices, many different servers, they seem faster that the servers I'm trying with your premium trial. Your services are just not worth as much money as you want for them. You want $288 a year…

  16. Joining Accounts (on paid plans)

Just consider the scenario: initially the members of a family create free accounts, one for each. After some time, they decide to upgrade it to one of the existing paid plans.

However, it seems that right now they could either upgrade just one account and create new addresses on it (which is cumbersome) or pay for an upgrade on each one (which is nonsense).

Simple example here: me and my wife are beginning to use protonmail, each one with its own free account, and we foresee the possibility to upgrade for a paid version in a near future. However, we…

  17. Custom purchasing packs with ProtonVPN

So-why not allow people to purchase Protonmail and ProtonVPN as a more granular bundle?

Right now, I have to purchase more mail boxes than I might need. I'd like to purchase them individually, and the amount of storage individually.

I'd also like to purchase ProtonVPN along with them, as a bundle, and receive a discount.

Right now you can only do that with the visionary package-but that is too many devices and email accounts/domains for me. I need more granular.

Also-while I understand bulk purchasing revenue, what's most valuable to a company like you is advanced payment and committed revenue.…

We should be encouraging schools (universities, colleges, high schools) to using secure email. Discounted or free premium features should be offered to this type of client.

  19. Add recovery phone number instead of email

...since the only one email is in use and can not to add any other recover email.

Otherwise users have to register another email on different or in your service and making email names busy but unused (used for recovery purpose only).
And somewhere in future after some period 3-6 months recovery email can be deleted and user can not to recover main email address password. So users have to remember sign in into that recovery email on constant basis. But if there will be 1-2 months delay to sign in into recovery email user can forget his password from…

  20. Using DAI (Collateralized dollar peg) to make payments .

Dai a product of MakerDao.com is a way to peg to the US dollar without needing to use any banks. It is stable and always a dollar unlike pure cryptocurrencies like btc .
