Onetime payment for lifetime Proton Unlimited
There is some things I see that I would never use in the Mail plus/proton pass plan, but I really would like to just pay once. I like the idea of having a 50-99year "unlimited/lifetime" since once I'm gone you can either forward the logins to a designated person I say and give them 90 days to download the archive, or just shred/delete everything once I leave the earth.
I despise monthly payments. Its the principal of it and the fact some cars have DLC for things already built into the car is crazy. Let me bite the bullet, and…

Domain Registration
Offer a domain registration service (a la "Google Domains") so we don't have to keep renewing our custom domains elsewhere and Proton can get a buck or 2 for each registration or renewal.

Proton Unlimited Lite – for everyday users
Many people are growing wary of U.S. tech giants, yet Proton is still seen as a niche solution for power users. Most of us only need a reliable email address, a modest amount of cloud storage for document backups, and strong password protection with 2FA.
I propose a Proton Unlimited Lite plan that bundles exactly those essentials:
• Proton Mail (basic inbox)
• 20–30 GB of Proton Drive for secure document backup
• Proton Pass for password management (including 2FA)
• Optional family add‑on so households can share the same subscriptionThe current “Mail Pro” tier feels over‑engineered—too many email aliases and unnecessary features—while the full…

correct IGIC (local VAT) or VAT-free for Canary Islands
The Canary Islands are part of Spain, but not part of the EU VAT zone. Instead of VAT (IVA), the islands apply their own local indirect tax called IGIC – generally 7 %, and in many B2B cases 0 %.
This means that invoices issued to customers based in the Canary Islands must not include standard Spanish VAT. Depending on the business relationship, they should either apply IGIC or be issued without any VAT at all, following the special tax status of the islands.
Take into account that the reverse charge mechanism doesn't apply here. Canary Islands tax-Ds cannot be…1 vote -

Mail Plus Family Plan – Affordable Secure Email for The Whole Family
I love Proton’s encrypted email and want my extended family to use it, but most relatives only need a mailbox—not the full Proton suite. Paying for separate Mail Plus accounts or a bundled Family plan (which includes services we never use) is costly and cumbersome. A dedicated family plan for Mail Plus would let me sponsor and manage everyone’s accounts in one place.
Feature Overview
…Scope: Covers only Proton Mail Plus (no VPN, Drive, Pass). Primary Admin: One main subscriber pays and controls member invites, removals, and billing via a simple dashboard. Individual Mailboxes: Each family member gets a separate, fully encrypted account with1 vote -
critical need of PASSKEY & 2FA (BOTH) TO SIGN IN ASAP ASAP its easy for you proton dont wait for votes
my friend saw my both passwords (2 password mode) from behind while i was signing in to proton account, i didnt knew this until he told me and now teasing me but that's not the issue.
the critical issue is that it is possible and successful.
i need to SIGN IN by using PASSKEY & 2FA BOTH so that my passwords remain confidential even if someone see everything while i am signing in.

Paypal three instalments
When using Proton VPN, after starting the payment process with PayPal, I cannot find the option to pay in three instalments, even though the amount to be paid is more than €30.
In my opinion, Proton has not requested its activation. Yet, the total amount would be credited to them immediately.
I have no technical or financial issues with PayPal.
I would be happy to be proven wrong.
I urge Proton to activate it.
Thank you.Massimo

Add allowing a second email for account recovery, or possibly add multiple email accounts for recovery.
Add allowing a second email for account recovery, or possibly add multiple email accounts for recovery.
This would assure that users can do a recovery, even if the 1st/primary email is not available at any particular time.1 vote -
Shared folders for proton drive with business plans
Add shared Folders or a Common proton drive for all proton users within a business plan of one company.
It would be great to have a company wide proton drive where ieach folder can have access rights for a List of users.

Benefits + locking in long term users
I was thinking of a good and healthy way for both users and company to support long term users.
I got to this idea.
Every year a customer has a subscription they get 1% more lifetime discount. (Until the subscription is cancelled)
So after 1 year you get 1%
2 years 2%
That goes up to a maximum for example 25% after being a loyal customer for 25 years.
Or 50% after 50 years that's up to the company what they feel good about. If you cancel your subscription once (or can't pay it) you lose all the build up…

PaysafeCard
Hi Proton Team,
Compliments on your excellent work!
Would it be possible to expand the options for paying safely and a bit more anonymousely for subscriptions. For example, using PaysafeCard? This card can be purchased at post offices or retail stores in Switzerland. https://www.paysafecard.com/de-ch/1 vote -

Purchase extra domains
It was possible to purchase extra domains before the rebranding. I’d like to see that feature returned across all plans including Visionary, especially given the feature exists for business accounts.
While I appreciate a lot of effort went into creating the current individual, family, and business plans, some of us have a lot of domains and are therefore forced to stick with less privacy friendly but more flexible email providers. Let me add as many as I need for $x per domain.

Purchase extra storage
It was possible to purchase extra storage before the rebranding. I’d like to see that feature returned across all plans including Visionary. Blocks could be structured something like:
10GB
100GB
250GB
500GB
1TB
10TBLet me buy as many blocks in whatever configuration I choose to meet my own storage requirements.
While I appreciate a lot of effort went into creating the current individual, family, and business plans, and that storage limits have been bumped up from time to time, we all have different requirements. Photo and video files especially are only getting larger and more of them created. Give…

Very Expensive for disabled UK pensioner
Offer incentive of discount for loyal customers. Product is great but regretably far too expensive!
When you are a disabled pensioner in the UK, we cannot afford the high "usual" price.
You should be encouraging folk to renew, not leave.
Great product and customer service. Poor unaffordable pricing!
Why increase the "churn rate" when you already have a captive audience?2 votes -

Payment Plans for Individual Proton Servics (a la carte)
It would be nice to have the option to only pay for the Proton services you want/use. I've been using a free Proton account for years with the desire to contribute, but my financial situation hasn't allowed for this. I'm just now to the point where I could pay a couple of dollars for Proton services, and would particularly benefit from an upgraded Proton Calendar. Unfortunately, this is only available in the Proton Unlimited, which is $10USD per month even when committing to a full year. This seems quite pricy when I just want a less restricted calendar. Would it…

Stop locking advertised 1GB of storage behind a 15-day call to action
One's locked at 500Mb if they don't perfom actions they might not even be able to, although the service advertised itself as 1GB no strings attached.
It feels shady, reminds of the disgraceful practices we're trying to avoid by using Proton, & completely turned a friend off the service because they wanted a clean e-mail adress, not another source of economic pressure.5 votes
