How can we improve our accounts settings, payments or plans?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

    It would be nice to share my Proton Unlimited plan with my family.

    Personally I don't need 500GB per person or 15 email addresses per person, and paying for those features person with a business account at a higher rate than the unlimited plan just doesn't make sense.

    It would be nice to be able to enable the Multi User feature for an individual plan and allow them to allocate storage amounts and other resources to individual users as well as manage domain addresses. I could see charging a limited additional user fee for the account of $1 per additional…

    It would really be a good idea if we could actually import sets of filters from gmail. I have a very elaborate setup there, which I'm trying to move.

  7. Allow us to switch .me to .com or vise versa

    I created a new account and accidentally chose .me when I prefer .com
    I'd like to be able to change this feature in my email settings.

    Also, I have another account that I wanted to switch to .me from .com.

    Please add the option to swtich between .me and .com and vise versa.

  9. Accept landline phone number (N° ligne fixe) for recovery

    Actually, phone recovery method works only via SMS.
    This method is not secure at all because there is more and more SIM swap attack nowaday.
    A new method should be implemented : parameters should accept landline phone number (N° ligne fixe) and any code to be sent by voice (like gmail do).

  12. Multiple Two Factor Methods

    It would be great to have backups for multi-factor methods like YubiKeys or TOTP. This is offered in other services like Tutanota.

  13. Recevoir un mail avant prélèvement bancaire / Receive an email before direct debit

    Cela serait bien d'envoyer un mail automatique quelques jours avant d'effectuer le prélèvement bancaire annuel ;-)

    We really need the ability to change our username! after purchasing proton vpn i realized anonymity is key and this is hard when user names are linked to other user names an option to change username would be excellent

    I think it would be nice if you could have the option to pay for the same plan but with an increased storage. For example an Unlimited plan, but with 2TB of storage instead of just 500GB.

    Please combine the Mail Plus and VPN Plus tiers to provide a mid-range upgrade level that covers small upgrades for both Mail & VPN, but less extensive than the full Premium option.

  17. more free filters

    Add more free filters like at least 3 because free accounts only have 1 available filter and paid accounts have unlimited. I've also seen similar posts on here from 2016 of this issue and free accounts still only have 1 filter.

    Bonjour, premièrement, merci pour votre service protégeant notre confidentialité. Deuxièmement, je vous suggère d'accepter le don anonyme au lieu de faire la liaison entre mon compte ici avec mon compte bancaire. Parce que je veux vous supporter lorsque mon budget me permet de temps à l'autre mais je ne veux pas associer mon compte ProtonMail avec mon compte bancaire, il y a de plus en plus de tyrans dans le monde, aussi les gauchistes big tech....

  19. Pricing on Basic Account

    The pricing structure has a GIANT $4/month while hidden underneath some where is that is the yearly price, so you have to pay one time a year at $48, well some small business people honestly cannot afford that right now, so when you want to upgrade you hit your customer with monthly payments are $5, totaling $74 a year. That is such a huge difference, I at one time truly liked you email but If you cannot allow me to pay $4 a month when on a monthly basis I will just have to not use your service. Outlook is…

  20. Protonmail storage tiers

    I am a protonmail free user who would find more storage space very important but do not need/want all the additional benefits of protonmail plus (like multiple accounts etc). I was wondering if there could be such an option between the product tiers of protonmail free and protonmail plus, wherein users pay only for the extra storage they need.
