    Proton supports setting up 2FA for logins to Proton itself which is great, however I would like the option to setup more than one 2FA device (ie. Apple Passwords, Microsoft Authenticator, Bitwarden, etc.)

  3. 2FA Authenticator App algorithm upgrade beyond SHA-1

    Appreciate 2FA authenticator app support in the solution.

    Would like to see support for not just SHA-1 (known insecure) hashing algorithms for code generation but also SHA-256 or SHA-512.

    Bitwarden supports SHA-256 in their solution.

  4. Send an email notification when a new device accesses my Proton account

    For more security, it would be fundamental for me to have an email notification every time a new device and/or ip address connects to my Proton account.

    Without an email notification that tells you that a new device and/or ip address accessed your Proton account, you have to go and check manually, and on a daily basis, if all the accesses are yours or not.

    And it's impossible remember whether it was you by simply seeing "from iPhone/Mac" or by the IP address (especially if you use a vpn and it changes!).

    An email notification will let you know immediately…

  5. Student discounts shouldn't only last one year

    Many other subsciption services like Spotify for example have at least opted for 4 years max, which would make way more sense since that is a realistic duration of studying. Affording your own privacy shouldn't be a privilege which you have to get into financial trouble for as a student.

  7. E-Mail confirmation upon changing or cancelling subscriptions

    Currently, I do not receive any written confusion when changing or cancelling a subscription. For the sake if transparency and accountability this should be foreseen. Also, I want to know how much I pay yearly and monthly and in which plan I am. This definitely needs improvements.

  8. Stop Advertising Upgrades to Paying Customers

    Stop advertising to paying customers to upgrade their Proton Pass. These UI elements are intrusive and disrupt users who have learned how to navigate the Proton Pass experience.

    The UPGRADE button is bigger than the button for me to create a new entry, why do I see this when I already have a subscription?

    1. How about some navigation jump links at the top of the all settings page to let people know there is more on the page.

  12. Credits offers

    When doing offers to capt new members (like 90% discounts first year or so) on Black Friday for example, why not do credit offers for the current members, like X% credit offer discounts?
    That would be a kind move by Proton that would make feel the already enroled community feel better when you are doing all those great offers only for new members or to upgrade.
    Sincerely, I feel myself ignored when you are doing those offers for new members while here its me paying the same price year after year...

  13. Connecting to Proton services with 3FA

    Have the ability to log in through three separate forms of identification before accessing the Proton account.
    For example :
    1 - the Proton password
    2 - Google Authentication code (or any other tool)
    3 - Proton authenticator (to be created)

    The user initially logs in with their username and password. Then Proton asks for the 6-digit code that Google Authenticator (or other) gives. Then the user enters the 6-digit code from Google Authenticator into Proton Authentication which validates the 6-digit code and gives a code (e.g. numbers or a word) to the user.     I’d like to suggest a feature that would be really helpful for admins managing paid Proton accounts:

    Currently, Proton doesn’t seem to send out monthly billing notification emails when an invoice is generated or a payment is processed. It also doesn’t include the invoice as a PDF attachment in any notification. This means admins have to manually log into the dashboard each month just to retrieve the invoice.

    For those of us managing billing and accounting tasks, it would be a big improvement if Proton could:

    Automatically send a billing email each month when a new invoice is issued.

  15. Be able to merge Individual Proton account into one Duo or a Family plan.

    I have Proton Unlimited and love it. Wife finally wants to migrate from Gmail(SpyMail) but she doesn't use all the other google nor proton products. If we both have individual accounts; can the two proton accounts be merged under one Proton account in the future like a Duo or a Family plan when our kids are old enough?

  16. Create your own plan. Select your services

    Why not be able to create a selected plan like those who really want unlimited but have no need for the wallet?; or the calendar many average users have no need for a calendar. Lots of people do not use crypto or even know how to use crypto it would make the primary services more available and in turn give you more subscriptions???

  17. Unlimited hide-my-email aliases in all plans

    When considering to offer an additional value to users, the free Proton Mail plan should include unlimited hide-my-email aliases. This will distinct you from other mail providers. At the moment it is rather annoying that aliases are limited to 10 aliases.

  18. Ticket, Testphase und einfacherer Support

    Ich habe den kostenlosen Accout getestet und möchte nun unlimited testen. Noch nicht abonnieren. Ich finde es befremdlich, dass der ganze Support auf englisch ist. Auch weil es ein Schweizer Unternehmen ist. Es ist für mich befremdlich, dass es kein Ticketsystem gibt, wo mir geholfen wird. Diese Lösung hier ist für ein Unternehmen ressourcensparend, aber wenig Userfreundlich, weil umständlich. Primäre Frage war: Ich möchte meinen kostenlosen account auf unlimited upgraden um ihn kostenlos 8 Tage zu testen. Geht das?

  20. Make Proton Mail optional or more functional for Proton Pass & SimpleLogin user

    I purchased the lifetime plan primarily for Proton Pass and SimpleLogin. However, I’ve noticed that using a Proton Mail account is currently required to log into these services.

    If Proton Mail is going to remain a mandatory part of the login system, I would appreciate it if the account came with more practical functionality—such as email forwarding, around 10GB of mailbox storage, and access to Proton Mail Bridge.

    At the moment, the Proton Mail account feels somewhat underutilized and doesn’t offer much value for my use case.

    If providing these features isn’t feasible, I would kindly suggest reconsidering the requirement…
