  1. Nano payment option

Accept Nano as a payment option. Bitcoin transactions fees are now too much, and it may take up to a few hours for a transaction to be confirmed. Unlike BTC there are NO fees for Rai, and transactions are nearly instant!

  2. Monero payment option

I would love to be able to create a truly anonymous email account so I would like to be able to pay for premium accounts with Monero or Bitcoin.

  3. Lifetime plan

I find paying 4 euros per month too expensive.
I would suggest adding the possibility to buy more features like adding more addresses, more filters rules or more GB for life.

  4. Litecoin payment option

Please accept Litecoin as a payment method for premium accounts and donations. While Bitcoin is a great investment asset, for normal low level payments below multiple-thousand level, Litecoin is much better. Bitcoin transaction fees are already around $5. Currently Litecoin fees are around $0.05 or 5 cents. Even the advent of lightning networks on Bitcoin will not make Bitcoin cheaper since Litecoin will also have Lightning network payments and channel costs will be 100x more expensive on Bitcoin.

  5. Bitcoin Cash payment option

Bitcoin transactions fees are now too much, and it may take up to a few hours for a transaction to be confirmed. There's a payment system, which is nearly same of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash. Its devs have a better vision "low fees, 1 block (10 minutes) transaction confirm time." If you haven't heard of it, here (https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/58969/38618) you can see that many wallets support it.

    Kind regards.

  6. Vertcoin payment option

Vertcoin is one of the fastest, trustworthy, decentralized, and secure crypto-currencies on the market right now. The Vertcoin community is large, and vibrant, and many of us use Protonmail as their main email provider. We would love for Protonmail to accept Vertcoin as payment!

  7. Only allow login with single/main address/username

Do not allow that you can log into the account with every address.

If my account name is john.smith then only allow login with john.smith or john.smith@protonmail.com. Not with finance.john.smith@protonmail.com or any other address.

Perfect would be if you would have the choice what address can be used in order to log into your account.

With the current way you have to give away your login username in order to send emails. Hiding the username from the public would be an advantage, since they would have to guess your username and the password. Not only one of them.

  8. €1/$1 per month membership - provides 1 pm.me email address

It would be the ideal membership for those who just wanna support you but don't need any features that are not already in the free account. And I'm sure it would interest lots of people, €5 is a little steep for email when you don't need anything fancy and just appreciate the privacy ; )

  9. Integrate with PGP keystore for 'to' addresses

Allow us to provide public keys for our contacts, letting us encrypt emails to people without using protonmail "secure" email with password.

Additionally offer search functionality for one of the well known keystores (MIT, etc) to find public keys for people you're sending emails to.

  10. Integrate Standard Notes Premium plan with Proton Unlimited

Hopefully I'm not being greedy, but wouldn't it be possible to integrate the premium features of Standard Notes, which are absolutely brilliant, with Proton Unlimited? In my opinion, it feels appropriate now that SN is part of the Proton family, and, in fact, it already works that way in the case of SimpleLogin.

  13. Lightning Network Bitcoin payment option

The Lightning Network is in beta, but it allows for instant payments (no confirmations) and almost 0% fees, provided the user has a channel open. You already accept Bitcoin... and the Lightning Network is a major upgrade to way people will use BTC to make payments. If you do it soon, you will also get a P.R. boost, as it will inevitably be mentioned in the Bitcoin media.

  14. Temporarily store 2-step verification

As it’s already (welcome) extra work to enter two passwords, could 2-step verification be implemented so that known devices would only need to be verified again every 30 days or so?

At the moment, with 2-step verification enabled, even a page reload triggers triple authentication, which makes the added security a poor experience.

  15. Shared inbox

Non-personal, shared (aka functional) mailboxes are commonplace in businesses - a central mailbox for a particular purpose accessible by multiple users. A similar need is also common for personal use (e.g. each spouse has their own personal mailbox, but also have a shared address for things like bills or school notifications)

    1) Best option would be to allow an address to be created and assigned to multiple users within a ProtonMail Organization. That avoids forwarding of emails and also avoids having to log out of one ProtonMail user and then log into another user in order to check the shared…

  16. Log in to Proton Account with FIDO2 / WebAuthn ( Passkeys / Passwordless )

With the rise in account takeover, password breaches, and the complexity of managing hundreds if not thousands of account credentials and their MFA, a better solution is needed that simplifies and offer bullet-proof protection against phishing and account takeover attacks.

Many services like 1Password, Yubico/Yubikey, and Apple offer the ability to generate and securely store passkeys that can then be used to authenticate to services that support WebAuthn/FIDO2. I strongly recommend that ProtonMail, ProtonVPN, ProtonDrive, ProtonCalendar, etc. to support passwordless/passkeys in the near future to stay on top of security and ensure that its customers are properly protecting their accounts.

  17. Dead mans switch / legacy settings / post mortem / data inheritance

set something up where if your account goes inactive (no log in etc) for a settable period of time a preset email will be sent to a preset address.

example i set up something so if i dont log in in 3 or 14 or 30 or 90 days etc (let us choose how long) a message i have already set up for this will be sent..

this would have a few uses and is also a pretty decent fallback to losing your account info if you dont set a 2nd account.. you could even send yourself your own forgotten…

  18. Longer Paid Plans - say 3 and 5 Years options

Provide LONGER PAID PLANS, 3 and 5 years options would be nice.

Pricing should of course be decreasing the longer the purchased plan.

This reduces our exposure as customers to random pricing increase every 1 or 2 years, and Proton gets a nice and loyal captive paid membership base to who you can sell other services.

  19. Regional pricing

It costs the average Russian nearly two day's wages to pay for ProtonMail Visionary. It costs the average German just over two hours.

Average wages vary drastically throughout the world, which is why large international companies like Spotify accomodate poorer nations. The same Spotify premium plan is equiv to USD 18.42 in Denmark compared to USD 4.50 in Argentina. This opens up their market to a global audience who would otherwise be unable to afford their service.

So what can we do to prevent someone in Switzerland paying for ProtonMail in Mexican Pesos?

Global issuer identification numbers: the first six…

  20. Allow login username to be different from email and aliases

You can effectively make your login username a barrier from even giving hackers a starting point to get into your account. Since with this feature they would need to know your username first. This should squash any determine hacker and allow great protection to long term protonmail accounts for years to come. Thoughts of "working on hacking this account may take time" is diminished wouldnt ya say?
