2. Storage breakdown by service usage

   Display a breakdown of the storage space which each of the services is using, currently the system only shows the "total" space available but there is no way to know specifically how much of it is being used by email, which on a free tier has specific storage limitations (1 GB if additional tasks done).

   This is important if a user is moving from a paid tier to the free one for example to ensure they remain within storage limits.

4. Advanced Protection (phishing-resistant MFA)

   Implement something similar to Google Advanced Protection or Apple iCloud (phishing-resistant MFA) - e.g. disable all non-phishing resistant (weak) factors when at least two of FIDO2/U2F keys or passkeys are added.

   Russian and Belarusian APT groups have been conducting targeted phishing operations to compromise Proton accounts for years. Through sophisticated social engineering tactics, these threat actors trick victims into revealing SMS and TOTP codes enabling unauthorized access to their accounts or accounts takeover. Example:

   For high-risk individuals such as journalists, activists, and politicians, an account takeover can have extreme consequences, including imprisonment or torture. Training and awareness do reduce risk, but they cannot realistically eliminate it for most users. To meaningfully lower exposure, we recommend technical controls that make remote, phishing-based account compromise substantially harder or (ideally) impossible.

   Phishing-resistant 2FA became the de-facto standard years ago for high-profile users of Microsoft, Google and Apple services:

   So, please, implement an ability to enable Advanced protection for individual users and force Advanced Protection for Proton Business admins. 6. Standard Notes monthly subscription

7. Visionary Multi-User Support

   Instead of creating new Member within the Organisation, let us "add" People that already have an Protonmail Account to our Organisation.

   The benefit of that is, the Member will keep it's own Account even after he leaves the Organisation and the Admin/Visionary User just have to allocate the Addresses and Storage!

   Simply said: The Admin Creates the Organisation and Add Member with their existing Protonmail Address. If the Member is on a Free Plan, he will get the benefit from the Visionary User.
   When the Member leaves the Organisation, he will then fall back to the Free Plan.

8. Non-profit plans (basic)

   Hi,

   I'm part of a non-profit organization which can't afford a ProtonMail Plus plan.

   We just need more labels and more storage than the free tier allows. We don't need aliases, custom domains, or IMAP. I'm sending it here because I can see in our mailbox that we're not the only non-profits using Gmail.

   I should also highlight that some "non-profits" are probably illegal with repressive governments. (Then they're not, on the legal field, non-profit, but they deserve encryption no less than myself.)

   So various ideas could come up. Non-profits could have more labels and more storage for free. ProtonMail users could optionally add a small fee to support non-profits' digital security. Non-profits could have a "basic" plan, for example…

9. Log in to User Voice with Proton Account

   When I was looking for a feature within ProtonMail I came across this platform for users. The first surprise was that I needed to create a new account to contribute to this platform while I am already have a ProtonMail account. So, my first suggestion for this platform is that everyone with a ProtonMail account also can use their ProtonMail account for this platform.

   Another item is that there is no general welcome or explanation to this Uservoice platform. It would be nice (and helpful) as a new user of uservoice to know a bit how it works here.

   Then I am surprised about the limit of 10 votes. Has everyone ten votes? No matter if they are free users of paid users? (And is there even a requirement to have a ProtonMail account for this website?).

   Another item is that I find unhandy that after you search for ideas there are no filters or sort options. When you have 600+ ideas related to the words you were looking for it would be for example nice to see the top vote ideas because their might be a chance that someone else has the same idea. Or maybe see the most related topic first.

11. Family Plan for Mail and VPN with Parental Control

    As everyone is already asking for a Family plan I don't have to repeat this. I would be up for a Familyplan including VPN and then add a Parental Control function. Changes needed:
    - Family plan for up to 6 Persons 2 of those are "Grown Ups" and 4 are Child-Accounts
    - VPN Client that can be forced and not turned off for the Child-Accounts
    - Family filter or at least Surf-report for Parents of the Child VPN Access
    - Family Filter or Report for Child Mail Accounts

    I really like Proton and its Plans and think this would be a great addition for their current Plans.

12. Seperate ProtonMail & ProtonVPN usernames

    PROTONMAIL PLUS USER

    I can't believe I have to ask ProtonMail for this!

    Decent VPN companies don't even let you set a username to avoid human error in leaking personal identifiable information, instead, they give you randomized usernames, take Mullvad as an example.

    Instead of going in that direction, ProtonMail does the opposite, but far worse.

    As a PM user, you are stuck with the same username, forever. It's a permanent record. Having the same username forever for e-mail and VPN is a security nightmare.

    Issues:
    1. If you use ProtonVPN, this means you are using ProtonMail too.
    2. Imagine using the username to login to ProtonVPN in public with prying eyes on each corner.
    3. If your VPN is hacked, your email is hacked too.
    4. If you share your VPN with your family/friends, they already know your ProtonMail username and if they're hacked, you pay the consequences.
    5. What if you regret putting PII in your PM username and you want to change that, well, ProtonMail says NO.

    AND MANY MORE DISASTEROUS SCENARIOUS.

    Now, understandable, ProtonMail it's a for profit company but they like to say they care for your privacy/security (hmmm), the only reason why they're doing this is to make you not share your VPN account with family/friends to maximize profits. Which compromises your security/privacy for profit (hmmm). Sorry, I can't think of any other reason.

    Anyway, possible solutions:

    1. Make it possible to change the Proton username for all services. (CAN BE HARD BUT DOABLE)
    2. Ability to add up to 3-5 more usernames to all Proton services and users can chose which one to use home and which one outside when they login. (EASY)
    3. Make VPN login credentials completely randomized (optinally rotatable) like Mullvad or ProtonVPN OpenVPN credentials you have. Again, I can't believe I'm saying this, it should be standard. But I have to put my FIRSTNAME+LASTNAME whily trying to protect my privacy! facepalm. (EASY)

13. Integrate Standard Notes Premium plan with Proton Visionary

    I would like to suggest adding the standard Notes Premium feature to the Proton Visionary plan. Since Proton promotes Visionary as the ultimate subscription giving users the maximum limits and access across all Proton services, it would make sense for Notes Premium to be included as part of that promise.

    Currently, Proton Visionary subscribers already receive integrated access to SimpleLogin, which is technically a separate service that Proton has incorporated into its ecosystem. Given this precedent, including Notes Premium—even though it is also a distinct service—would be consistent with the Visionary plan’s positioning as the all-inclusive plan.

    This integration would enhance the user experience by truly offering all core Proton services at their highest limits within one subscription, reinforcing Proton Visionary's value and exclusivity.

14. Delete un-used email addresses.

    I have email addresses from a deleted domain. I can't delete the email addresses until I first remove all messages from each email address. The problem is I can't get into them in order to delete any messages.

    Would you please make it easier to delete old addresses.

15. Large family plan

    Hi,

    I currently administer a domain for my extended family (50 members) and we are on the free services from google and have enjoyed their services for 15 years+.
    I would really like to switch to Proton, but find no plan that fits.
    I would love to see a plan for "Large Families", that could go up to 50 members and i believe it could still be done within the 3TB of space in the current family plan.
    If it could be done at the same price as well, it would be great, as USD19 per month is still quite a lot to pay.

17. Expert mode for security/recovery

    I love Proton and rely on it for email and password management. This makes my Proton account's security paramount, since this is the gateway to everything else now. That is why I have two security keys that protect access to this critically important account with unfishable 2FA. My password is kept offline, and is backed-up in various ways.

    Proton, however, seems to work against my efforts sometimes. I'm obligated to also use an authenticator app to use my security keys. Without asking, I'm suddenly opted-in to having recovery files downloaded to my trusted devices. Allow password reset from settings is enabled for me, and can't be disabled without having a recovery method. This last thing is something I want to have enabled, personally, but I don't want Proton to choose that for me.

    More seriously, when I enable a recovery phrase to make Proton happy, I've effectively reduced my account's security from 2FA to 1FA. The recovery phrase recovers both account and data, and bypasses 2FA as far as I know (it is not clear from the interface if this is the case). I kinda like the idea of a secondary backup password, but not one that bypasses 2FA.

    Because of this, I prefer to disable all recovery settings. I don't want or need recovery; I've never ever lost a password in my life, especially such an important one. Proton, however, has decided for me that this is Irresponsible Behavior, and I shall be visually punished with the UX-equivalent of a wagging finger, an annoying exclamation mark telling me that I'm being stupid and need to enable one of the recovery options that, in my opinion, needlessly reduce my account's security.

    What I would like to propose then, is an expert mode for account security, maybe as an extension or extra option of Proton Sentinel. I would like to be just as stubbornly obnoxiously stupid with regards to my chances of account recovery as I **** well please, thank you very much :p I would like to be able to just use my security keys, with my very long and complex single password, flirting with the edge of the online abyss, without Proton getting in my idiot way. That my account may be unrecoverable is a risk that I'm completely comfortable running, and I pretty promise that I won't come crying to Proton support if I get burned.

20. Unlimited hide-my-email aliases in all plans

    When considering to offer an additional value to users, the free Proton Mail plan should include unlimited hide-my-email aliases. This will distinct you from other mail providers. At the moment it is rather annoying that aliases are limited to 10 aliases.
